dowap5: They speak Hausa as second languages and not as first language. Those of them who had lost their first language to Hausa, we know them and we know the language they spoke in the past. The Anioma, Ikwerre ,Ogba, etc. All speak Igbo dialects as mother tongue and not as second language. Let this sink into your brain. 4 Likes |

dowap5: Bini didn't invent the beeds. They were imported by the colonial masters and all groups in Nigeria adopted it as part of their regalia. Asagba of Asaba is a grand patron of Ohaneze Ndiigbo. What other proof of his Igbo identity do you want? His name is Chike Edozien, his town is Ahaba( I have chosen), his praise name is Obi agu!, he speaks Igbo , and he attend Igbo meetings. What is your problem? 5 Likes |

dowap5: 1. Facts on ground is that Anioma people speak Igbo language as mother tongue and all their gods are Igbo gods too. 2. Anioma has many folklores, the Bini migration story is just one of them. There is Igbo one, and then the autochthonous one. It just happened that the Bini ones are overhyped by the people post civil war, while the other two versions are suppressed for obvious reasons. History is a science and hence subject to rational analysis. An irrational history, expecially undocumented oral histories, is a red flag for a historical distortion. I have quoted a post to you too linking the people to Igbo. Which would rationally explain why they are Igbo speaking. 3. A folklore must pass through the crucible of rational analysis before it can be accepted. History is a science and not something you wake up and forge. A folklore of a supposedly Bini people like Igbanke living right in Edo state and Agbor whose neighbors are Bini people, waking up one day and start speaking a dialect of Igbo language as mother tongue without history of being colonized by Igbos is irrational and would be rightly questioned by any anthropologist. 4. So let me get this straight. You mean to tell me that supposedly Bini speaking ancestors of Anioma, Onitsha and Ikwerre people left Biniland as Bini speakers and formulated the Igbo language they currently speak on their journey away from Bini, which they taught the whole Igbo speaking clans in SE and as far as Isobo in Cross Rivers state who also speak a dialect of Igbo language? Does this make sense to you? 4 Likes |

dowap5: The swords were Portuguese introduced in Bini empire. Many Igbos around copied it. Bini copied Igbo four market days of Eke, Orie , Afor and Nkwo too. Does that make Bini people Igbos,? Nigeria copied the British MACE as symbol of senate , does that now make Nigerians native British? The British copied government titles like Minister from the Romans who ruled Britain. Does that make British people Latin people? Common sense, you lots cannot have for once. 4 Likes |

dowap5: Don't be silly. If they came from Bini, then they were initially Bini speakers and couldn't have invented the Igbo language they are currently speaking from thin air. Common sense dictates that they borrowed them from Igbos. English is a colonial language, Ghanaians still have their local languages. Ndiigbo never colonized these groups and they don't speak their Igbo dialects as second languages but as mother tongues. They have the right to identity as anything they like, but what they don't have right to is to claim they manufactured Igbo dialects they speak from thin air, unless you are telling me they speak Igbo language in ancient Bini. 4 Likes |

Do you know how many Onichas we have scattered in Igbo land like -Shires are scattered in. England? Develop your Edo land and stop looking towards Igbo land. dowap5: Edo man. No one is abusing or forcing any one to be Igbo. On them contrary, we are angry with leeches like Wike, Amaechi and other clowns from the Bini claiming but Igbo speaking groups out there in SS are exploiting the Igbo tag when its expedient to do so. We are hoping they drop our Igbo names and language and revert to Bini ones. We are pushing them towards Bini. Biafra will be. And it will be a fully homogeneous Igbo republic made up of proudly Igbo speaking towns and clans .Know this and know peace. 5 Likes |

Bkayy. Anioma issue is not same as Ikwerre, so you don't need to use same hostility we use on Ikwerre on them. Anioma is a tricky issue. The Enuani are on the whole proudly Igbo except the Issele uku and environment. The Ika areas like Abavo, Igbodo Ekwuoma who are close to Enuani are proudly Igbos while the likes of Umunnede, Agbor , Owa (though Owa Monarchy acknowledged its NRI ancestry) are largely Igbo phobic. Ukwuani is the worst of the Igbo phobic lots. Ndokwa is Igbophilic or atleast neutral. Problem is that we can't just take the Igbophillic parts from Anioma because the Igbophilic ones still consider the Igbo phobic ones brothers and hence wouldn't want to leave them behind. Its akin to how Yorubas in SW doesn't want Nigeria to disintegrate because it would mean them saying Good-bye to Kwara and Kogi forever as Arewa are not eager to release those ones to them. We (Ndiigbo) have an Anioma problem, and it's a really tricky one. Its a pity our father's didn't solve this problem and now we are the ones who have to solve it. But I would advise next time you try and observe silence in Anioma issues and not come down hard on them, for the sake of those proud Igbo communities in Enuani. You must also note that unlike Ikwerre, Anioma is not an ethnic group, but rather a political association, even though the likes of Emeka Esogbue and Omu Anioma have been working fruitlessly to make it an ethnic group, the clannish nature of independent clans there will not allow for that. So when dealing with Anioma issue, deal with it as an association made up members with varying alliances and not like an ethnic group. For example, the Ukwuani/Ndokwa people on the majority don't subscribe to the Anioma association, they see it as plan by the Enuani and Ika to lord over them. Many of them are even opposing Anioma state creation. 3 Likes |

Keemsleek005: The Western Igbos as they were known in colonial times became Midwestern Igbos post 1963 and then Bendel Igbos post 1970. They later became Delta Igbos from 1991 and was later christened Anioma by an Ohaneze Ndiigbo chieftain, Dennis Osadebay , an Asaba man. Anioma is an acronym for the four main Igbo speaking units found in Western Igbo. 1. A= Aniocha 2. N= Ndokwa/Ukwuani 3. I= Ika 4. O= Oshimili MA= was arbitrary added to make it sound close to an Igbo word, hence ANIO-MA. Meaning beautiful land in Igbo language. Of the four units above. Aniocha and Oshimili , where Okonjo hail from and who are jointly called Enu-ani (Upland) are on the majority proud of their Igbo identity as they share boundary with South East. Whereas the Ika ( where the Army chief Irabor)hail from do not share boundary with SE and have a rather intense boundary relationship with their Edo neighbors hence are neck deep in identity crisis. The Ukwuani where Sunday Oliseh hail from have boundaries with Isoko and Urhobo people and have too much interactions with these non Igbo tribes, hence are deep in identity crisis as well. So yes. The Igbo in South East have over time come to realize Ika and Ukwuani/Ndokwa hostile nature towards us and their Igbo denial, hence we are quick to deny them too. But for the Enuani (where Okonjo, Jay jay Okocha, Nzeogwu, Pat Utomi) hail from, with exception of places like Issele uku, the people from this part are proud of their Igbo identity and Ndiigbo in return are quick to embrace and support them. 1 Like |

Nope. There WILL NEVER be any form of unity between Ndiigbo and Yorubas. Events of 1966-70 made sure of that. Any Igbo man speaking of fighting together with Yorubas for any cause is mentally retarded and will not have my support. Other than his idea of making Biafra a Babelian republic, one of the other reasons I'm not a fan of Nnamdi Kanu is his romance with Yorubas entities in the name of forming an alliance . It shows how out of touch with history and mindset of an average Yoruba man, an Igbo person is, for him to suggest alliance between Ndiigbo and Yorubas. Nigeria is like Yugoslavia republic. The Hausa-Fulani are the Serbs, Ndiigbo are the Croats. We have to fight our way out of Nigeria independently and leave other groups to do as they please. 5 Likes |

Akwa Ibom vs Cross River dick measuring bickering is as stupid as Abia vs Anambra, or IMO vs Anambra bickering some impostors on NL lead. Why fight among yourself when outsiders see you as one? Nobody outside AkwaCross will ever agree there is any difference between both of you. Any bad thing that happens in Cross River is automatically seen as Akwa ibom issue, and vice versa. All of you are as far as we outsiders are concerned are one "Calabar people". We don't see any difference. The difference only exist in your own imaginations. Privaldo1: You are not well exposed. How can you be comparing the entire SE of 90 plus LGA with Etche of just 2 LGAs( Etche and Omuma) ? SE isn't a homogeneous zone. We are made of different Igbo clans and each clan have their own way of greeting. Ngwa people greet " Maazi", Bende people greet "Jokwa", Okigwe and environment greet " Awuna/Awulaa", Nkanu greet "Deeyo", Anambra central use " Daalu", Ezza use " Tokwehu", Aro say "Mma mma" etc. There are like tens of other specific greetings depending on part of SE one comes from. So when an Etche man from 2 LGA ethnic group suffering from identity crises decides to group all Igbo groups in SE together and start comparing us with his new 2 LGA ethnic group, it can get annoying. 1 Like |

AlexBells: Someone once suggested Ikenga republic as the right name to replace Biafra, which would be an exclusively Igbo speaking republic, comprising willing Igbo speaking groups in Aniocha/Oshimili, Including Obiigbo, Isobo, and Ezza communities in Benue state. There is no security Nigeria can provide to anyone. In fact being part of Nigeria is a security risk. Look at the state sponsored Herdsmen menace. The big market part sounds good, but its not sustainable looking at the way Igbo businesses and investments are being attacked at the slightest provocation outside Igbo land. Abandoned property by the minorities in SS should serve as a taste of what awaits Igbo investments in non Igbo parts of Nigeria, if we don't establish an independent Igbo country capable of unleashing war( physical and economic) on any one who tries to do such in the future. Emphasis should be on investing home , make home so attractive that the whole world would come to Igbo land to do business with us. Investing in Igbo phobic hostile non Igbo parts of Nigeria is not a sustainable model. Ikwerres should not be in the equation. They are not Igbos and would only serve as a weak link for our enemies to exploit against us. Ikwerre has no direct access to Atlantic, except through rivers running through minorities territories. We already have this option with the IMO river that opens into Atlantic through Obuaku Ndoki in Abia state. There is really nothing Ikwerre has to offer us. Please keep them out of this conversation. 3 Likes |

AlexBells: Nwanne forget Nigeria, Nigeria is irredeemable. Our cultural and economic life outlook is totally divergent from those of Yoruba, North and Minorities. No form of arrangement within Nigeria will work for Ndiigbo except total separation from these alien groups. I only agree to have an autonomous Igbo region with Nigeria only as preliminary measure and step towards achieving total separation in the nearest future. This has also been my suggestion. That Biafra fighting groups like IPOB and MASSOB should morph into one political party in Nigeria and then push for political and economic autonomy of Igbo land within Nigeria, like Catalonia has done in Spain. This autonomous Igbo region will then in the future push for total separation from Nigeria, like Catalonia is doing in Spain too. Autonomy of Igbo within Nigeria federation should be a viable stop gap measure towards achieving total separation from Nigeria that Ndiigbo should explore, and never as the end point. 1 Like |

“Today, I want all South-South and South-East to remember this, that we’ve two Judas. Let me confess to you, we held a meeting before the elections on Saturday, and we said as people from this part of the country, we must standby our brother. Some APC leaders bought into the idea. And that was why with all the money Amaechi throw around, we still gave our brother almost 1.5million votes. Amaechi is the only betrayer that raised his ugly head to say we rigged elections. When he knows it’s obvious that you and I gave our best to our brother. In Edo state, the governor only complained of Army that was deployed in his residence. He never said the elections should be cancelled. IMO state the same thing. But it is only Amaechi that stood like Judah to tell Jega to cancel elections in rivers state. We heard he has gone to Abuja, trying to persuade Jega to change the returning official here. In fact, let him tell Jega to come down to conduct the election himself. Amechi, Jega, and Buhari will still fail. We have taken over the Senate and the state house,we are left with the governorship, and with you again,we will get 2million votes to silent Amechi for once. We will treat him like a betrayer, and call him a stranger in his own house. He is coming to beg us, to let go. When he has succeeded in using Rivers Rtate money to fund his Fulani friends. Amaechi, eyes will see hell the highest they can give to him is Secretary. And after 8 years, he will return home and become irrelevant. Trust the Hausa people, they will soon betray him just the way he betrayed the south south struggle. I was told he is paying some thugs so that elections will be cancelled in Rivers State,in order for them to come back and conduct it after GMB is sworn in. If they try it, they should just carve Rivers State out of Nigeria map. I will lead a war against them like Ojukwu. Am not joking, I know am on air,and I am warning them now. Any attempt to rob us the way they rob our brother (GEJ) the battle will start from rivers state. We will remain opposition state like Lagos. In fact we from the south south and south east we remain in PDP. We leave the south west and north to run APC. That is how they tactically shared the country. And we will not allow them use our resources to develop their States.. I am urging you all to come out April 11th to do it again. We will be at the field to defend our votes, and revenge for our brother. THANK YOU.” [/b]. www.sayelbatimes.com/i-will-lead-a-war-against-them-like-ojukwu-am-not-joking-wike/ |
