odilibe: it worth it, you need to cut the lnb where the plastic cover ends! But not the whole scaler ring!

olenyi: Increase the signal on what sat exactly? Or u just want to cut for cutting sake? The lnb u have is, if am not mistaken, an ordinary strong lnb. And if I can guess right, you used to pick a sat within our coverage area and not a fringe sat. That's why am asking if you just want to cut for cutting sake.

And by the way, what you just did was to remove the plastic cover. To cut, you have to cut the funnel shaped bottom of the lnb.

Am trynna actually cut it to see if I can get a little signal increase to nab Etv(sirus4)...presently,afta a whole day of skewin I managed to ge d signal to 65%-70%,but it stil flashes every 2sec....so am thinkin mayb if shud cud d lnb head to enhance little signal increase I might get a stable signal....

abymoore: bro i didnt say that 4056h27500 was irib frequency i said u shud track wit dat frequency den blind scan for irib why? Bcuz in the previous page sm1 gave me jsc frequency to be 3455v/h27500 and besides ve post pix of my irib frequency both of ku n c band satellite so plz dnt misundastd me..... For u dat ur irib ve refuse to pop up check ur diaelectric plate if u ve insert it wel, dnt push it all inside

olenyi: Ur intelsat 20 signals are poor compared to ur dish size. I believe this is from ur lnb skew/dish alignment. But it can be managed.

pboy2buzy: I don't knw ooo.....I got 88-90% on sirus4.8 but etv hyde refused2 pop it only hits 66%-72% but its not stable hence d channel cudnt come out......so I v decided to buy another lnb,cuz I bliv wit a more powerful lnb I wud b able2 get very good reception........currently I use strong4 both c-bnd and ku-band..any advice on which lnbf to buy and amount?

olenyi: Remember a change in the dielectric position should all go with a change on the polarization setting on ur receiver.

Also, place that C-Band in such a way that the block head is at 7/8 o'clock.

But try this,

Change the glass ''dielectric'' to horizontal from the present vertical position that it is now. And also change the polarity in ur receiver also. Lets see if this will solve the problem.

Also try rotating the lnb; first a little clockwise, then a little anti clockwise.

I changed d dielectric to horinzoltal d tpz went blank,so I had to return it to d vertical......what cud b d cause of dis.....please help

And i've come to realise that u are a bit reluctant to go out and work on ur dish. Is it that u just want a solution u can stay inside ur sitting/living room and solve?

Pls don't let this energy we've all expended looking for a solution for u go in vain.

olenyi: With dat mesh, u should be getting more than 70% on ur channels.

Get to work on ur lnb and see if u can get the signal up to 80-85%. And get back to us.


Also I can see u haven't worked on ur C-Band lnb. What's holding u. Get to work bro. This is the weekend.

Now this your receiver is getting our my nerves. Which kind stronghead is it trying to form.

But if u're using a friends box and the problem is still dia. This is what u do;


1) take ur receiver to ur friends place to verify that ur receiver can receive those frequencies.

2) Then disconnect ur Diseqc and connect directly.

3) Now xchange ur lnb with another one and tell us ur result.

And by the way, were u receiving those tp's before and it just went off or u never were able to get it?


In my time, i've come across two receivers that were hitherto getting intelsat 20ku. Then during a thunder storm, something went wrong. And do whatever u want, it didn't get intelsat 20ku but comfortably picks every other bird.
