Better contact TV3 Ghana directly 'cos I don't think any one in this forum will profer you a solution to that problem. Else, get DSTV kit and enjoy TV3 Ghana from within their set of channels. Another option would be to contact the Chinese or their subsidiaries somewhere out here in Africa for some dark boxes which can help you do the trick. Na so ee dey o!!

1) take ur receiver to ur friends place to verify that ur receiver can receive those frequencies.

2) Then disconnect ur Diseqc and connect directly.

3) Now xchange ur lnb with another one and tell us ur result.

And by the way, were u receiving those tp's before and it just went off or u never were able to get it?


In my time, i've come across two receivers that were hitherto getting intelsat 20ku. Then during a thunder storm, something went wrong. And do whatever u want, it didn't get intelsat 20ku but comfortably picks every other bird.

Firstly....I v tried my decoder in my friends place,it worked perfectly well jst(pickin all sat on board)

Secondly I have no disecq on my system(I removed it as a result of d current experiment)

I have two lnbs,One dual and one single(both gives same result

Don't knw if d nature of my dish(mesh) contributes to this.

With dat mesh, u should be getting more than 70% on ur channels.

Get to work on ur lnb and see if u can get the signal up to 80-85%. And get back to us.


Also I can see u haven't worked on ur C-Band lnb. What's holding u. Get to work bro. This is the weekend.

I have started work on my c-band already,jst disconected it 4 d mean time bcuz am tryin to get at d channels at 36'e

@pboy2buzy. I want to suggest dat u should re track it and input those tips while tracking to be double sure.

for you that has problem on 36e.i will advice you to change your lnb and if the problem persist.go to another satellite and input 12272 h 11200 and search it directly because this thing has happened to me when i wanted to install 36e for freechannel.i just input 12245 h 27500 and it did not took me 5minutes when i hit green not knowing that this freq is also active on 26e but when i scanned the channe what i could see are mbc hd package and when i input 12272 h 27500 is not pumping green.so i now decided to got joy tv first so after goten it i input the frequency and moved the dish a down a little and shifted the dish a little to the left and i hitted green m

@pboy2buzy, i think u should skew ur lnb upwards to see if the signal increases a little(as from the picture you uploaded above, i can see the lnb is pointing towards 3'o clock position) most of ku band satellites are mostly receivable on bigger dish when lnb is facing upwards.
@Olenyi, your adequate response to the guy request are much enough to solve the problem. you have tried much for him, I think all the problem may resolve in realigning the dish.

*What were the events that lead up to the receiver not working and the lights blinking?

*Was there/Do you have any power issues? Generator or mains around the time issue happened.

*Has the receiver been opened prior to it not working? If yes, what was done?

*Was there any software updates uploaded onto the receiver a day or two prior to it not working?

Answer these questions and i'd get back to you with a possible solution to your problem.

Seems like you managed to lock eutelsat 36b @ 35.9east parameters only...and not 36a @ 36east parameter..you may need to re-track these sat ...

Try to input the tp's 11940 H 27500 and 12275 H 11200.

Track with it by raising ur dish a little up and a little down to see if u will pick the signal.

you need to tweak your lnbf for you to pick that said transponder. If you have tweaked it well, that particular trasponder would have hit green even at 57%. I know you might not believe me but try it and you will come back here to testify your success over this problem. I remember back in the days when I hunted for TPA on that same satellite, my RDV on 12436 was hitting 73% and this trasponder (12245h) that is one of the t.p that has the strongest signal strength was hitting only 60-61%, did you see that? Hey bro,just go up and tweak that your lnbf, there is no pain in tweaking that your lnbf.

NOoooooo sirrrrrrr........I have was on top of my dish ysday 4 9hours.....tryin different things......and as am talkin to u I am holdin my fone up ontop of my dish.....experimenting on all what my oga's on d top v been tellin me.......soo plss thinkin that v been indoors seekin 4 solutions,is a farcry frm d truth..but itz rilli not in my capacity to fail if not 4 anytin but 4 d immense attention d forum has given me.....tanx peeps(gettin back2work again)
