In Anambra where i reside, Sokudo's impact or projects are yet to be felt. In my earlier threads, a particular Tunde sent youtube videos of Soludo's current projects which i ciuld not access because my Youtube app is not working. However, i had discussion with one of the who is who in politics in my area this morning and i was enlightened by Soludo's ongoing projects which i am yet to make out time to verify and if these are verified then Anambra may afterall be in good hands atleast better than that Obiano who ended a total failure.

Oga shut that your trap.....

you opened a thread to shame Soludo without verifing for yourself......

Besides you can shove your opinion up in your smelly a$$ nobody gives a flying f**k about what you feel.

Politics / Peter Obi’s Failed Third Attempt by PCSI: 11:22am On Mar 20, 2023
PETER OBI’S THIRD ATTEMPT AT BECOMING A GODFATHER FAILS FLAT

— As Labour Party fails to secure majority seat in Anambra State Assembly Elections

By

Okwudili Okonkwo

I’ve been thinking through possible headlines, trolls and raw hate that would have become of Soludo and APGA should Peter Obi and his rampaging Labourers had secured majority seat in the last State Assembly elections in Anambra. I’ve just been wondering if Peter had pulled through with his political fluke after heavy investments in cash and self to put a firm footing in his lifelong desire of being “Anambra’s political godfather”.

This is just my imagination in the light of our recent penchant for not seeing things as they are but through some other none political prism that fuels nothing but raw hatred amongst political opponents, who differ only on principle and conviction.

Of course I will not mention that a significant chunk of the Labour Party’s Funds raised for Peter’s presidential election was set aside just to capture Anambra. Peter was everywhere in Anambra, spending and doling out huge sums of money to acquire Amambra through the back door. This has failed already. But, we know Peter is unrelenting and would now move the battle to the media where he has also acquired for himself some fiery pen assassins. They will start like objective fellows and begin to push falsehoods banking on the power of repetition to make it stick in the minds of the uncritical.

You will begin to see screaming headlines about Soludo and Anambra State, sponsored Twitter trends on same subjects and other devious attempts here and there. That has been Peter’s signature strategy. We, however, will not be distracted as the end game will certainly not be in the favour of political desperados.

Nairaland / General / Ndi Igbo Know Your Place. by PCSI: 8:38am On Mar 19, 2023
IGBOS IN LAGOS KNOW YOUR PLACE!!!

I was born and raised in Lagos with my siblings. My parents like most Igbo parents after the war, migrated to Lagos. They made a living in Lagos, and were extremely successful by any standard. Invested in Land properties etc. My dad was not a business man but a banker who attained the height of his career before being appointed by the federal government.

They lived and cohibitated peacefully with the Yoruba, and didn't get involved in their politics. Rather, they were more interested in the politics of our state of origin. They were not tribalistic and we were raised not knowing the difference between us Igbos and Yorubas or any other tribe for that matter. My brother is married to an Ekiti girl. Lovely girl at that. My nephew and niece are Nigerians from both tribes. My child sees her as her Aunty whom she loves and her kids are her best friends. She doesn't know or care about their mothers tribe!

This tribalism comes from some of my Igbo brothers and Yorubas who migrated to Lagos about 10, 15 or 20 years ago, who don't understand co-existence! They've lived too long among their own tribe that living with another is an issue!

To the Igbos who disgracefully say Lagos is no man's land, why then do we perform our traditional rights in the east or perform our last burial rights in our villages even after living our who lives in Lagos! It's seen as a taboo to do otherwise.

Igbos, know your place as the early Igbo dwellers in Lagos did. Don't bring your mindset here and make living in Lagos uncomfortable for us who have lived here all our lives without any form of hatred. Transact your business then leave. Visit Lagos when you have business to transact.

Lagos has always been home for me and my family. My spouse was born here too. We understand from our parents how it works!

Lagos is not a no man's land! Igbos know your place!

Nairaland / General / Gross Fundamental Rights Abuse Application Against Icpc by PCSI: 12:33am On Feb 24, 2023
Federal High Court has adjourned to 1st of March, 2023 for Judgement on GROSS FUNDAMENTAL RIGHTS ABUSE APPLICATION AGAINST ICPC (INDEPENDENT CORRUPT PRACTICES AND OTHER RELATED OFFENCES COMMISSION) AND MR. KABIR ELELU (COMMISSIONER LAGOS STATE)

NBA, SERAP, HUMAN RIGHTS ORGANISATIONS APPEAR IN COURT, DEMAND JUSTICE

A Federal High Court before Ringim J. has adjourned till the 1st of March, 2023 for Judgement on a Fundamental Rights Abuse Suit filed on behalf of the applicant (a senior lawyer) by a learned Senior Advocate of Nigeria, F. Chijioke Okoli SAN of Delphi Law Advisory LP, Victoria Island Lagos, Nigeria.

The applicant compellingly detailed the facts of his case and how he was almost beaten to death, in his 36 paragraph affidavit (including video evidence) telling how the Lagos State Commissioner at ICPC, Mr. Kabir Elelu and his officers wickedly and in absolute disregard of his fundamental rights, beat him to the point of a dislocated shoulder, knee and other grievous body injuries, (as evidenced in his Lagos State General Hospital, Lagos Island Medical Report and Awolowo Road Ikoyi, Lagos Police Report).

He further detailed how he was dragged across the ever busy Okotie Eboh Street Ikoyi, Lagos into the ICPC office like a common criminal.

The ICPC, being a security agency, the applicant sort, among other things, the presentation to court a CCTV footage of surveillance of the ICPC Lagos premises on the day and material time of the incident, for the whole world to see things for themselves.

The applicant's own secretly recorded footage shows him being helped into a commercial Bolt taxi, like a vegetable.

ICPC through its representatives in court: Ebenezer A Shogunle Esq.; Dennis Idoko Esq.; Olubunmi A. Ikupolati Esq.; Yvonne William-mbata (mrs); Roselyn N. Eze (mrs); David A. Nwaze Esq. filed a Notice of Preliminary Objection arguing that the Lagos Commissioner Mr. Kabir Elelu the 2nd Respondent was served in Abuja along with ICPC, the 1st Respondent, even when it's affidavit on support affirmed that "the 2nd Respondent was informed and further that he confirmed the incident happened in Lagos".

The other grounds are that "the mode of commencement of applicant's claim by way of Originating Motion is irregular".
Arguing through Mr. Shogunle that applicant should have come to court by way of "writ of summons for enforcement of his fundamental rights"

Applicant's offence? Taking a telephone call as he walked past the ICPC Lagos State Commissioner's office (Mr. Kabir Elelu) upon exiting the premises after visiting the Legal Aid Council office in the same shared premises.

Because the applicant's arrest and detention was without a court order whatsoever, he has requested for adequate compensation and public appology, as made automatic by the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 (as amended).
