I'll tell you what happened. Here goes...
Nigeria is a beautiful country, rich in culture that could have made it a tourist heaven, before Dubai beat us to it.
It boasts of warm, friendly people from different tribes that would have made Ronaldo wish he came from Nigeria, instead of Portugal.
A country with rich natural resources that would have sent Canadians relocating to Nigeria.
Nigeria is a country with a huge population of enterprising people, which would have made it the biggest manufacturing country in the world, not China.
Nigerians are so well educated, that Einstein would have wanted to be cloned as a Nigerian. Trust me on this.
And our entertainment industry? Shahrukh Khan, Beyonce and Angelina Jolie would have only been qualified as crew members. Go figure.
Now, to your question, what happened?
Bad leaders married for worse to gullible citizens!
Bad, selfish, and greedy leaders, voted in by ignorant, thoughtless and tribalistic citizens.
We could have had a dream country. We could have set a good example to the rest of the world.
But, no need to dream of what could have been. We blew that chance.
A country where their doctors have been turned not to industrial farmers, but peasant farmers.
A country where education is a threat, and so not encouraged by incessant strikes.
A country where our only acceptable natural resource is oil and gas?
A country where nepotism is the only option to thrive.
A country where our tribes divides us because that's the only way our politicians can remain in control.
A country where your means of livelihood is irrelevant, so far as you can spend in $.
A country where hardwork and sacrifice is made a mockery of.
Citizens, who have made Judas their role model. "30 pieces of silver is being too greedy, a bag of rice for my vote will do just fine, thank you."
A country made of citizens who would vote for tribe as against qualification.
Citizens who are in dire need of psychological help to treat them of their Stockholm syndrome. Yes, they've fallen helplessly for their oppressors.
Nigeria, the so called giant of Africa is a ship with a history of inexperienced captains, devoid of worthy crew members.
Now, the ship is sinking and Nigerians are going belly up. Whooshhhh...

Olisa Metuh convokes governorship aspirants, vows PDP will win Anambra November poll
A former Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, Chief Olisa Metuh, has said PDP will win the November 6 governorship election in Anambra State.


He stated this in a meeting he called in his hometown,Nnewi, Anambra State for the 16 PDP aspirants in the state.

He admonished the aspirants to stop lavishing resources just for primary election, charging them to reserve their energy and resources for the main election coming up later in the year.


Addressing journalists after the meeting Metuh said
"This is the first time in the history of Anambra that we have this array of talents aspiring to Anambra goveri in PDP and indeed any party, we are happy with them.

"The aspirants have met and deliberated, they have also x-rayed the yearnings of Anambra people and have decided to work towards the victory of the party in the coming election.

"We also agreed that whoever emerged as the flag bearer will be supported by all aspirants to ensure victory for PDP.

" Most importantly, we have resolved that apairants will no longer allow anybody to make undue demand or exploit them in their quest to govern Anambra, in that regard, nobody should spend not more than N3,000 and N30, 000 for primary logistics.

"When you allow candidates to spend too much money on elections, you are opening the vault of the state for exploitation, this is with the understanding of the party leadership.

" We also prayed and agreed that there is no more intra-party bickering, this agreement is binding on the 13 aspirants present and three that sent in their apologies for absence.


One of the aspirants, Chief Obiora Okonkwo said there were genuine smiles on the faces of attendees after the meeting.

He said,"What happened was important to every aspirant and we are going to enforce it, it also takes care of post primary rancour."

Another aspirant, Mrs Chidi Onyemelukwe( daughter of the late Dr Alex Ekwueme) described the Metuh conference as the future of Anambra politics".
