emmerks: Admission has closed in all the institutions, does it mean I ve to what till september next year? Is it possible I get an admission late this year or early next year.No you don't have to wait till Sept next year, Admission will be starting by October against studies commencing on Feb next year. You just have to ask the schools if they admit by Feb next year. |
emmerks: @wurajone,Believe me bro, nothing is impossible, but you have to keep praying, its the only key now. The link I gave you, please send as many applications as possible because most of them accept application via online, first of all go to a Notary public and notarize all your documents so that when you forward it to them you can state in your email that its notarized copies, they tend to believe more on that, that's my advise. I will keep sourcing more for you. Try check out www.tio.nl they give their decision within 2 weeks. |
wurajone: Drop your pin or your YIM, will add youHere's my pin, , I will give you my YIM when you add me. |
wurajone: You can also go through this thread for more info:Oh that's great, I read through the link, although the school magazine gave similar details, but yours went little depth of it. Are you on messenger of any kind? BB, YIM, etc? |
wurajone: When you have made the decision to come and study in Holland, you will need to prepare for your stay. As an international student You will probably need a visa and/or a residence permit. In addition, you must make sure you have adequate insurance and arrange for accommodation and proper funding for your stay.Nice information, its really wonderful reading a detailed explanation. Hope to get more update from guys and girls who ar either studying/working or living in the Netherlands. |
wurajone: To me,Its a Pleasant city, great centre, enough shops, a few nice pubs. its not really that big ,but progressing as a big city, this is where many Dutch people head for their cycling holidays.Wow, the pics looks good. Its seems there are just 3 Universities in Drenthe. I have made few research on accommodation. My friend stays at Groningen. Thanks for the info, I will keep those in mind. Nice weekend.... |
wurajone: Visit Assen many times, and I have a very close pal in Pittelo about 2 kilometres from Assen,I visit there often.Statistically racism Is everywhere(that shouldn't bother you much)minimum wage is about €1,450.00/mnth (#290,520.87).Thank you lots, what is life like over there when you went visiting? Do you classify it as a big city or close to been a big one? Do you know of employment over there as well? Tnx for your quick reply. |
wurajone: I'm sorry I'm replying late, got to get some things fixed, about netherlands,I can only talk about amsterdam cos I've stayed more than five yrs here and I can say amsterdam is a city of tolerance and diversity, It has all the advantages of a big city, culture, nightlife, international restaurants, good transport, reasonable school fees, not easy getting a job though as a non-dutch speaker, apartments depends on the location, The good thing is that 90% of people speak English, It is a fascinating place and the people are really the nicest I've ever encountered, I've travelled a few places abroad prior to this but even when I compare it to Paris (another nice place to visit)there is really no comparison. There are several races and nationalities that live in Amsterdam and somehow, they all live among each other with very little racism, A huge population ride bicycles and walk instead of filling the air with emissions from cars.as for fun,Amsterdam is Fun!!!Thanks for your update. I will be studying at Assen, Drenthe. I really don't know anything about them, I was told that dutch women are proper set of racists in Assen, Drenthe. I wish you can comment on that. How much is their minimum/maximum wages? Thanks for your information. Hope to read more |
Iceslizer: I know of ritman hotels in area 8 not so far from maitama. Dont mind the name, its just a guest house and you can get a room for 6k there. I'll still scout for more when i go out tomorrow and inform you ok..Thank you, I will appreciate. |
Can you give me some names of the guesthouse so I can know how to ask once am there. Thank you babe. You really full of ideas. |
wurajone: I'm currently studying in University of Amsterdam.didn't have problem with my admission, though I've been living in the netherlands before I got admitted to the school.if there's any way I can help you, maybe in other school in netherlands.let me know.Hi wurajone, Am glad to know you are studying at University of Amsterdam, are you a permanent resident of Netherlands? Please can you give me some cue how life is over there when it comes to people, environment, characters, work, fun, etc. I will be going to Embassy for my MVV Visa. Do you know about Assen? Hope to read from you soon, tnx for coming in......... |
Iceslizer: AbujaHow much is Hotel per night? I intend spending 2nights over there in Abuja. Do you know the costs or be able to guess? The Netherlands Embassy is at Maitama, I was informed its an expensive area, but I don't know what it will be like staying at a less expensive place. What do you advise? Thank you |
Iceslizer: No, im not on BB. How do you go about legalizing your birth cert., are you in Abuja? No am not in Abuja, but will be going there soonest, you will go to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Legalize it, then the Embassy will also legalize it, i was informed by Netherlands Embassy that it costs 5,050 naira to legalize a single certificate, what about you were are you? |
Iceslizer: tuition is 9400 pounds. i will meet up, uk visa takes approximately 3weeks.wow, thats costly as mine. Tell me are you on BB? I will start making preparations by tomorrow against monday. I just need to Legalize my Birth Certificate asap. |
Iceslizer: I will apply by 3rd week of august. Will pay my fees this weekAre you sure you will be making it by this year or will you start by Feb next year. Oh by the way how much is their tuition fee? |
Iceslizer: P.desmond sorry i got your question wrong, i thought you were asking about the netherland own. I got pub hlt in a uk uni. This june.So that means you will be going for your Visa soon? Have you completed their requirements? |
Iceslizer: Emmerks sorry jare. I feel your pain. After months of running around and beating about the bush i finally settled for a UK uni. Thats what i get for my 2.2 from a nigerian uni. Hopefully after my masters i can look for a better european country to settle down. When did they offer am admission to you? |
emmerks: I got to here of saxion and avans here. I applied to saxion but was told admission has closed that I should wait till feb 2013.My brother I feel your pain. Here is this website www.findaschool.org, go down to Netherlands and apply to all the universities you can lay eyes on. Once am done here I will give you my e-mail address to forward me your docs, I will take it up to assist you in applying as well. That will not be now because am really occupied now.just take things easy. Everything will work out. |
Iceslizer: P.demond i'm applying for Msc. And because i have a 2.2 i dont know if many unis will accept me. I'll mail them though.Well you have to try, maybe they have a way of doing it. |
Iceslizer: @emmerks, not that there's anything wrong with the school, just the small population of students, like this year they just graduated only 8 students. I think if one has the money to pay for studies abroad then its better to get into a school that would give you a good student experience apart from the certificate. Also i think their staff strenght is too small. Just my thoughts though. It will be more preferable if you will to www.avans.nl i will be there soon. |
emmerks: @p.desmond yes the school is in netherlands. Its in a place called apeldoorn and this is there website http://www.wittenborg.eu/bro i will advise that you apply to www.avans.nl its the best University i can guarantee you for now when it comes to offering you Admission. |
emmerks: P.desmond please i want to know maybe wittenborg is credible institution.I don't know of wittenborg, is it in Netherlands? |
Iceslizer: P.desmond im so happy for you. We'll get more of these success stories. Dont give yourself much headache anymore, i beleive you've scaled the major part of the hurdle which is getting your visa aprroved.Thanks. Am expecting to read from the Netherlands Embassy, I don't know how long they take to reply. |
