Dakad: I do have a major problem with way will react to these supreme court latest judgment. Most APC sympathizers are pained because it didn't go their way while PDP sympathizers are in support of the judgment. However only few( very few) are analyzing the judgment dispassionately. But my fair is this except our electoral acts is amended in conjunction with this constitution, we may end up with one party system like OBJ era come 2019. I will strongly recommend that well meaning Nigeria an PDP( the so called opposition party) should be in the lead to ensure CARD READER is more efficient and enshrine in our constitution. If not APC may laugh last regards the latest supreme court judgment come 2019 and Nigeria may end up being the loser and this will set us back like 50years which we don't pray for. In as much I hate to say this, GEJ lost election basically bcs of the CARD READER. We all know the enormous power of federal might especially as regard the election in this country Which of the state's will APC win in the South South in 2019? I don't think you know my people |

Ryabcool: best advice I can give you is to be yourself, believe in yourself and have confidence in yourself. Plus, listen to her whenever she talks. You don't know how badly girls want someone who is attentive to their talks no matter how little. Be yourself, have a good sense of humour(I don't mean you should start cracking jokes o) and be caring. Plus being intelligent also helps as she'd see that you have potentials.
Don't try to do anything to impress anyone. Try to make an impression(though not proudly) that whoever has you has more to gain. And be very patient. Before you know it, it's you she all ever thinks about. Thanks bro |

InvertedHammer: / Voting for GEJ shouldn't have been an option.
The biggest mistake that I pointed out during the campaign was the choice of Buhari - old, inarticulate and unassuming to lead Nigeria in this 21st century. In 1985, Buhari was a figurative Head of State (to placate the North over the sack of Shehu Shagari) because Tunde Idiagbon was the one in charge.
Buhari's ascent to power was on the integrity of Idiagbon amplified by the carelessness and idiocy of GEJ. PMB and GEJ are two individuals who have no business being in Aso Rock if Nigerians aim for a vibrant nation. Like the indigenous people of Imo State, Nigerians seem to thrive on choosing one wrong leader after another. / Guy GEJ is far better than Buhari and even OBJ, he may not be an option for you, but right now I am regretting why I stayed at home. The man tried, I will vote for him if he contests again |

Culture › Re: Igbos And Their Unafrican Way Of Marginalizing Their Women by peacengine(op): 10:28pm On Feb 13, 2016 |
ovadozes: no culture is superior to the other....a woman's place in Igboland is beside her husband whatever the husband inherits from his own side belongs to him and his wife. take for instance in my own case, when my paternal grandmother died automatically my mother inherited her lands not her clothes and kitchen utensils which belonged to the first or last daughter. I am the last son in my house when my mother goes to be with her maker (I pray it doesn't come soon) her things become mine which eventually are my wife's own so I dont understand what you people mean by Igbos not allowing their women to inherit things...again in Igboland we practice a patrilineal society except in places like Ohafia, therefore lands are owned according to patrilineal ancestry. when a woman is married her husband's inheritance (in this case land) belongs to her ,her husband and her male children. This does not mean that when a father dies that the female children cannot inherit his money, they can but they can't inherit ancestral lands because they already have an inheritance in their husband's place If you inherit your mother's things which ones will your sister inherit? Does a wife share the inheritance of her husband if she does not have a son? In your culture the property of the man goes to his sons and not his wife, if he has no son then it goes to his brothers. Women are nothing in Igbo culture |

mrphysics: My friend shut up. Name any product in Nigeria that has increased in price.
The reason why you know and want to die because of increase in naira against dollar is because you are almost 100% dependent on dollar. Do you know that Euro is higher than the Dollar, but do you hear Americans or read in their newspapers how it is killing them?? why don't you see such? because they don't depend so much on foreign goods.
And for that your acid, use t on yourself.
I went to a campus yesterday and an old friend told me he wants to cook rice. I gave him money to buy what he need for the food. He told me clearly that since he was born, he has never eaten locally produced rice and he can't even eat it now.
I quickly withdrew my money because even as he keep complaining about the dollar, he is still not doing anything on his part to help the economy. Haha dude, every product has increased in price obviously you no dey Nigeria or you still dey collect alawee from your parents. APC is a useless party, if no be say na nairaland be dis, if you talk this nonsense for my front, I will surely lock the door, and we go beat ourselves till one person succumb, 335 ke? |

Iroh88: [s][/s]In trying to defend your god, the Ineffectual Ogogoro Buffoon, you indicted him at the same time.
He inherited an exchange rate of N150 to $1 and handed over N210 to $1 after 6 years. Than, we didn't see any of you guys for Wail for a second, but today not a moment goes by without you people drowning the world in your tears over a falling Naira.
He inherited a GDP that was growing at 10.7% and in two years of his leadership, it dropped to 4.3% and eventually handed over a GDP growing at 7.6% after 6years, yet you people scream he's the best thing that ever happened to Nigeria and admonish Baba to seek advice from him on how to handle the economy.
In the days the Buffoon held sway and oil was selling at an average of over 100dpb, what buffers did he put in place?? Did he manage to curb our dependence on imports?? Had that been the case, would we have been witnessing all these today??
Rather, he cheered his employees on to steal hard currencies with reckless abandon so much so that some dug pits in their private apartments to stash them away from authorities!
The Nigerian economy became effectively dollarised as even bribes were given and taken in dollars!! Our appetite for the currency grew to epic proportions, today, we are paying the price of that useless admin and its maladjusted administrators yet some useless Ekpas and defenders of all Crooks in the universe would want to blame an admin less than a year old for something that has been in the making for 6years.
All these is borne out of nothing but pains over an election your preferred candidate lost, a candidate that was nothing but a doormat to a group of women and a band of crooked politicians.
Naught Hypocrites.
Buhari has 4years to reverse the trend. Judge him if he fails after 4.
Thanks.[s][/s] Who will you blame for your idol's economic failure before IBB sent him packing in 1985 |
