If I'm president I'll band all the religious Group they're one of the most corrupt and biased all they know is how to cause division in the country after collecting bribe from politicians.

I totally agree and it is my sincere prayer that we will be in the position of power that will enable us to do this.
Scrap all non-denominational churches and tax the rest according to their net worth.
Religion / Re: Is Taking Alcohol Responsibly A Sin ? by peacettw: 1:30pm On Sep 01
@op We are beyond that now. Recent researches and WHO have proven that taking alcohol no matter how little will surely lead to one's demise quicker than expected.

The goal now is zero alcohol intake.

Then I should be giving you news everyday brother.
Since they (IKEDC) came to distribute prepaid meter four months ago, we've not had power outage that lasted 30mins, we are even tired of the prepaid meter.
We (each apartment) now pay 2k every Sunday just to recharge the meter

Interesting.
Now, you must agree with me that if a study is carried out throughout the federation to evaluate the average power distribution rate in the country, the outcome will be significantly lower (p=0.000001) than that seen in your area. What we need to do is to examine the possible confounding factors in your area, correct for it using logistic regression and see if truly your area would have had it this good without them.

This isnt news please. What should be termed newsworthy is the presence of constant power for at least 9 hours a day.

Some of these festivals have their root in occultism.

Then you will be shocked to learn that a significant portion of the Bible is also deeply rooted in paganism and occultism but here we are learning them as the gospel truth

Thank you my Bishop for recognising our culture.
Sadly in my church, the new yam festival is being declared occultic.
To this day, it truly baffles me why we all cannot worship God whilst still upholding our many harmless traditional values.

I only clicked to view this thread because I was very much interested in the methodology used in conducting this research. Now that I have read through it and the comments, I am glad that I am not alone in thinking this comparison to be completely out of place. In truth, the right phrase to have used in this context is "utter rubbish" but I will hold my tongue.

Uwc. Just ignore them. I have heard plenty so this seems like nothing. Our society though claiming it is against domestic abuse will in the same breath berate anyone who musters up the courage to leave one. The hypocrisy stinks but it does make one stronger.

Diagnosis: Gastroschisis
On inspection besides the obvious, the baby is deeply cyanosed (r/o VACTERL), moderately dehydrated evidenced by the sunken eyeballs and from a low socio economic background (cry for help on social media)
Prognosis is poor considering all factors save for financial assistance and management by specialists (Paediatricians and Pediatric Surgeons)

Quite sad

Peace Mass Transit remains the best transport company in Nigeria. I learnt that a bus was sent to them but they did not have patience for the bus to arrive. The bus later arrived and carried those that were there. When the company found out that they left before the bus arrived, they refunded her the money she paid to Calabar from Onitsha. What more could a responsible company do?

Hahaha. Was thinking this to be sarcasm but it isn't. It really isn't grin

Family / Re: Should They Go For Medical Test Before The Wedding? by peacettw: 4:07am On Aug 29
GreatResearcher:
Hello all!

I am about getting married to a lady I met two months ago. We barely know each other. We've only met twice. First was the day she visited me at my place, the next was on the day of introduction.

We rarely talk on phone. I guess maybe because we're either shy or not familiar with each other yet.

Well, that's not why I created this thread. I create this thread because it's just four days to our wedding and it just rained on me that we'd have run some medical test before even getting started.

I don't want to marry a SS, AS, womb less or HIV patient. I've already gone far in the wedding preparation. I've done almost 90% of the needful and the money I've spent so far is 2m+.

Fear of the unknown is gripping me. I thought of going for test today but I've already gone far to cancel this wedding. This wedding means everything to me plus dignitaries would attend the wedding.,And again, I can't marry one who is not medically fit.

I don't believe in miracle or prayers. So don't tell pray for a HIV positive person to turn negative.

I just need raw advice. Thanks

What is wrong with you?
Family / Re: Was I Wrong To Leave? by peacettw: 3:39am On Aug 29
liberalchick:
OP, it’s normal to second guess yourself after a major decision. No matter how bad a marriage is, divorce or separation, while liberating in some situations is a very hard choice to make.

Based on what you wrote, you didn’t make a mistake. Domestic violence isn’t something you want to endure in a marriage, or you want to expose your children to. The human psyche is amazing, we are able to dull our traumatic experiences so we can heal. You have been away for four months, your experiences are beginning to dull, you are yearning for something that isn’t there. If you go back, within a month you will remember why you left in the first place.

Your husband has already checked out of the marriage, it’s time you do the same. It’s going to be very hard, but you have to try for yourself and your children. Going back when he hasn’t shown any remorse will be a disaster, nothing would have changed and you would have deleted any incentives for him to change.

@op
Please heed to the above advice. I couldn't have said it better myself. Going back now will be the worst mistake that you will ever make. He will leverage on that and make you so miserable that you will contemplate suicide to be free of the pain. The man must show some concern first.
It is very understable that you are second guessing yourself especially now that the man doesn't seem to care. TRUST ME, HE DOES CARE. HE IS SIMPLY WAITING
FOR YOU TO REACH YOUR BREAKING POINT. To avoid getting there, I need you to do the following

1. Seek the councel of that friend or relatives who are in total support of your need to stay away to heal. When you are feeling down, call these people or visit them.

2. Download instagram and search for accounts on narcissist and narcissistic abuse. There are tons of them. Read through a few and let their words encourage you to move on.

3. You can also go to quora and search for topics on narcissistic abuse.

4. Never and I mean never make yourself a victim to pastors cum self professed seers who want to capitalize on your pain for their self gains. If u must pray, learn to do that on your own and BELIEVE that your prayers are good enough for God to listen to.

5. Try and be happy. It is very important for your well being and that of the kids. Take them swimming or on outings. For you, if you can afford it, download Netflix and binge on comedies or series that makes you happy. I have a couple of them that will blow your socks off.

6. When he calls, and trust me dear, he will, please be calm. Never express remorse or regret but stand firmly on your decision to leave telling him that you can't heal in the same environment that the abuse is being perpetrated. Tell him that even though you both aren't perfect, you simply cannot endure the physical violence anymore. Most importantly, do let him understand that he needs to go for councelling.

7. Get a lawyer. Keep all receipts. Install a phone recording app and upload all related conversations, and/or WhatsApp messages online to your Google drive or drop box.

8. Learn to complain less and live more. Only engage with people who make you feel good and not those who will want to latch on and rehash your pain to make their not so perfect lives seem marginally better.

I am pretty sure that by now you can tell that I have gone through what you are going through. There are lots you need to learn but I have found that taking a day at a time and worrying less about the future is the best medicine. Don't worry. You will be just fine. Let's give your spouse the needed time to think about his behaviour and reinvent himself. Remain safe *Hugs*

I know.
Back in the day, I can remember reading the "Left Behind" series that tired describing how this event will unfold in our times. In the series, they had believed that the Antichrist will dominate the earth through the press and TV media. They were wrong.

Any infringement of our privacy will largely occur through the Internet. There is no doubt about that today.

Clearly, you don't know what we all are in for. With the data they have gathered about you, you will have to "STRUGGLE" to remain clean... Trust me, if the need arises, anyone can be made into a criminal since they know your weak points and and can precisely strike to either maim or kill. You can't hide anywhere not even in a cave. Don't worry, it will be made clearer with time.

To me Google is the Antichrist. They own almost everything we do online. Gmail, Google AdWords, AdSense, Google trend, map, voice, YouTube, note, and more.

Thank you. I have thought deeply about this and it is scary the way they are "gobbling" up every aspect of our lives. They are literally omnipotent and we are heavily dependent on them as we would our gods. It is really frightening and the powers there be should come together to stop this monopoly.

Interesting. So, the social security details aren't enough right? Using your logic, why arent banks implanting chips on anyone who takes loans or on mortgage. Why shouldn't universities also monitor all those been given student loans? When you lend money to a friend, why not pay for someone to stalk him for the rest of his life?
