1. Head, Investment Research and Management (ES00102)

Reporting to the Managing Director, the successful candidate will be required to provide leadership to the Company’s investment management function, which encompasses investment research, portfolio strategy, construction and management.
This role involves the identification and evaluation of investment opportunities across different asset classes, development of suitable investment objectives and management of investment portfolios for mutual funds, high net worth and institutional clients.

Key responsibilities will be to:

3. Investment Operations Officer (ES00104)

The company’s investment operations function focuses on two areas: administrative and operational processes relating to client’s accounts; and coordination/management of the processes required to implement investment decisions and support the investment process. Thus, the investment operations officer will be expected to provide valuable support to the client acquisition/management and investment management process.

Specific responsibilities will be to:

• Provide client and fund/portfolio services such as on/off boarding of clients, attending to client enquiries and maintaining all client related records.
• Conduct all the operations activities related to investment with prime focus on best execution of trades which accord with approved investment decisions and accurate settlement of trades.
• Produce various internal and external reporting including but not limited to client, regulatory, and management reports.
• Prepare and analyze daily/weekly/monthly operational reports and metrics including payment of approved fees and expenses.
• Liaise with counterparties such as custodian, registrars, and brokers to ensure the smooth processing of transactions.
• Work with the finance and compliance functions to ensure compliance with ongoing regulatory requirements for investment funds and portfolios managed by the company.
• Attend to and resolve queries from clients, regulators, and trade counterparties.
• Handle trade and account reconciliation.
• Identify problems and the inefficiencies with various processes and develop and implement solutions

Qualifications, experience and attributes

• First degree preferably in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other related fields.
• A minimum of 5 (five) years’ experience in a similar function for an asset management company.

Job Description

Documentation of financial transactions
Maintaining accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.
Summarizing current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit or loss statement, and other reports.
Recommending financial actions by analyzing accounting options.
Organizing and maintaining financial records.
Formulating policies on ways to reduce costs, enhance revenues and improve profits.
Coordinate and Prepare monthly final account.
Manage, prepare, record and store all accounting documents as prescribed
Monitor, update and manage project budgets
Prepare monthly income and expenditure reports
Account reconciliation and analysis. Update and balances of bank accounts and reconcile with accounting books
Develop and implement policies and procedures with emphasis on internal controls
Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure.

Qualification Requirements


Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or any related field
Minimum of 7-10years cognate experience in financial and accounting work.
Good knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures
Must be a member of ICAN or ACCA
Proficiency in Sage and Peachtree accounting packages
Good Analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good computer skills including Microsoft Suite with emphasis on Excel
Able to handle multiple tasks and stay organized
Good Interpersonal and communication skills.
