Now, tell me how you won't be able to make heaven when you believe the words of Jesus Christ. But you can't do such while remaining a Muslim or Bhuddist. Court unfreezes 16 accounts belonging to Patience Jonathan

An Abuja Division of the Federal High Court has reversed its order made on May 30, to freeze 16 accounts belonging to wife of former President Goodluck Jonathan.

Justice Binta Nyako withdrew the order on Tuesday over failure of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, to conduct its investigation within 90 days into the alleged infractions involving the 16 accounts.

The court’s decision followed an application by the counsel to Mrs. Jonathan asking the court to set aside an ex-parte motion filed by the EFCC for continued control of the accounts.

Mike Ozekhome, described EFCC’s failure to carry out the said investigation as an abuse of court process.

“The judge, Justice Binta, had given the EFCC 90 days within which to investigate and prosecute parties involved in the allegations but they never did that.

“So we asked the court to set aside the interim forfeiture order. The judge set aside the order granted on May 30,” Mr. Ozekhome said.

Better to give that state to the Fulani herdsmen than leave it at its useless nature to the economy. imagine so much land lying fallow. just juxtapose tha state wt benue and you'll get my drift. if they put half of their land to farming, food production in this country will hit the roof but no way...they are every else doing menial jobs all over the country.

Governors in the Northcentral region of Nigeria have called on president Muhammadu Buhari to contest in the upcoming 2019 presidential elections.

PoliticsNGR learnt that governors Samuel Ortom of Benue, Simon Lalong of Plateau, and Tanko Al-makura or Nassarawa states respectively have announced their support for the president's 2019 ambition.

The decision was made at the Northcentral meeting of the national committee of Buhari support groups in Abuja. A motion was raised by the ex-governor of Benua, Senator George Akume which was seconded by all the APC supporters at the meeting.

Akume in his speech pointed out that 4 years was too small for leaders to record lasting milestones.

“For 2019, there is no credible presidential candidate for the APC other than Buhari,” 

Lalong, on the other hand, said that major stakeholders in his state had already moved a motion to compel the President to seek re-election.
