You don’t always have to be on the same page: You’re always told that communication is important in any #relationship, and it is. However, you won’t always be on the same page. Once in a while, texting your #boyfriend will slip your mind, and he’ll be upset that you kept him out of the loop. Or maybe he’ll bottle up his feelings of jealousy in order to keep you happy, and one day #everything will explode out of him. Even though communication is important, you’re still going to have misunderstandings. It just happens. Sex won’t always be mind-blowing: You aren’t going to have mind-blowing sex every #time you slip beneath the sheets. Some occasions will be better than others, and that’s nothing to worry about. Even though the honeymoon is over, it doesn’t mean that he’s any less attracted to you. Some date won’t be fun: Your dates aren’t always going to be perfect either. You can’t blame your #boyfriend for putting in less effort five years down the road than he did when you first met. Sure, you still want him to do sweet #things for you, but not every anniversary will come with a ridiculously romantic gesture. You should be happy just to spend #time with him. A family member or two won’t like him: You can’t expect your entire family to love your #man. Even though your parents and friends adore him, there’s bound to be a cousin or an aunt that thinks he’s bad news. It’s no big deal. You can’t please everybody, so there’s no sense in trying. 1. He won’t always have his eyes on you: Yes, you want your #boyfriend to be completely loyal to you. However, you can’t get mad at him for admiring Emma Stone’s beauty or complimenting your BFF on her haircut. He’s allowed to find other #women attractive. He just can’t act on those feelings. Your house won’t be spotless: You’re not going to have a perfect house with a picket fence and obedient children. You’re going to have a house with siding that needs to be fixed and children that curse at you behind your back. That doesn’t mean you’ve failed as a couple. It’s just life. Nothing is ever as perfect as it looks in the movies. You won’t divide the chores equally: You’re partners, which means you should be treated as equals. However, it’s difficult to distribute chores so that you’re both doing the same amount of work. Maybe you have three duties to do and he has three as well, but your job of mowing the lawn is harder than his job of washing dishes. It’s impossible to keep #things completely even, so don’t get mad at him when he’s trying to do his part. cc lalasticlala |
I love reporting gists like this, it always reminds me that someone above, still works miracles. Mrs Roseline Akinsola, 50, on Monday delivered a set of twins after 14 years of childlessness. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Akinsola, who works at the Ekiti State Christian Pilgrims Board, was full of praises to God for answering her prayers. The mother of two girls, who weighed 4.2kg and 2.3kg, advised other couples in need of children not to lose hope. In an interview with NAN, she expressed gratitude to God for giving her the children after several years. "I thank God for the new name he has given to me; before, I was being called Iya Iyanu’’ without a child, but today, my name has changed to “Mummy Twins.’’ Many of my colleagues, friends and neighbours mocked and sidelined me, but because I stood firm on the words of God, He answered my prayers. I thank my husband, who inspite of the troubles and problems from family members, friends, colleagues and neighbours still believe in me and God. He stood by me like a father in all ways and also believed in God all through the crisis. I also thank my siblings who stood by me in prayers for years. Let me thank God for all those who stood by me in prayers and encouraged me not to desist from serving God. These children are indeed signs that God never forgets his own people who diligently seek him and believe in his words, ” she said. The father of the twins, Babatunde,49, also expressed gratitude to God for the children. "We fast, pray and cry unto God for the fruits of the womb for years, but I am happy that today, God has finally fulfilled his promise to my family. I thank members of our church under the callings of Pastor and Mrs David Ajileye for their prayers and care for my family,’’ the happy father, who is also a civil servant, said. Ajileye, who is the General Overseer of the Way of Life Bible Church, Ado-Ekiti, thanked God for his blessings in the lives of the couple. “We have known the couple for over 15 years and they have been steadfast and faithful in serving God inspite of the challenges they were facing. For years, I and my wife have been praying to God to give the couple the fruit of the womb; I am so happy that the lord has answered their prayers. The church witnessed a similar miracle in 2013 when a couple, members of our church delivered a set of twins, a boy and a girl after 31 years of childlessness,’’ he said. He advised the couple to teach and train the children in the ways of the lord. NAN reports that the mother and the twins were OK. cc obinoscopy ishilove

[quote author=MizMyColi post=33210788] I was very Thanks to that faulty ride, the unrepentant gidi traffic and of course, near absence of vacant buses (Rush Hour Tins) I left the office fuming, but now that I'm finally settled in a bus, on my way to my final destination, I'm thankful. I had loads of time to trek, to reminisce, and to ruminate. With the fresh air from the trees planted under the leadership of his excellency, BRF (SAN), fluttering all over my face....it was a time of sober reflection. I asked myself questions, hard ones....questions which everyone who has towed or intends to take the path I towed should ask themselves. Why do I hate Buhari? What has he done against me as an individual? Since when did I start excluding people from my grace list? If GEJ had won, wouldn't I want people to give him grace before jumping at him? Would I appreciate the militant attitude with which I treat anything GMB/PYO if someone did that to my own? Even if the progressives on Nairaland treated/treats a man I honour as an individual with such disdain and ineptitude, does it make it right, for me to go all out to get my pound of flesh, albeit subconsciously? Now that their own is in power? Would it kill me to believe God for a better Nigeria? Why am I so convinced Nigeria will fail even more? Btw, if Nigeria falls, who will bear the brunt more? I have always believed in bringing sense, even out of nonsense. I have always believed that there is inherent goodness in everyman, no matter how worse and evil they appear.....why have I conveniently exempted the APC, GMB/PYO. I remember asking "Where is Osinbajo?" In my myopic thinking, I chose to think he has retired to his block of flats and handed over his post, unofficially to Tinubu. Well, what if as I write now, that man is on his kness, praying and crying his hearts out.....asking God to help him steer the cause of this nation....what if? For sometime now, I have observed that in my online relations, I have fallen short of THINKing. (an acronym I promoted on here briefly, as regards online ettiquette) Is it Thoughtful? Is it Helpful? Is it Inspiring? Is it Necessary? Is it Kind? Nonetheless, I reckon that we are all growing. We are all getting better... Those that point to our failings and accuse us of being hypocrites fail to see that we all have our blindspots and none of those blindspots makes us any less than we are. For we shine, not in never falling but in rising and pushing on. It is on this note that I hereby submit that I have seen that my manner of approach and way of addressing Buhari and co was off and I have decided to make a turn around in the spirit of excellence. Henceforth, I will try to see the good in the incoming administration and maintain a position of near neutrality and objectivity. I will put them in my prayers and be an ambassador of peace and goodwill where ever, whenever; for first and foremost, I am, A Nigerian. So help me God. I wish GMB good health of mind and body. I wish him and his team wisdom and understanding uncommon as they prepare to pilot the affairs of this nation. And So shall it be. Thanks for taking time to read.
