K1 visa currently takes 7-9 months, so if you start your mum visitor visa and you are yet to get approval on what basis would your mum be visiting the US? I suggest you until the visa is approved.

I recently discovered this thread and it has been really been helpful.
I got an RFE yesterday, and the confusing part is we had sent most of the things they asked us to resend which includes
1) we sent 2 separate signed statements
2) evidence of ongoing communication
3) evidence of subsequent meetings (we initially sent them at least 30 pictures at different times)

Pls eh what does Rfe means

Is it request for evidence??

And does this come after the USCIS approval

I mean like what stage is these required
4) evidence of engagement ceremony ( we included pictures of the proposal, sent receipts of the engagement ring)
5) evidence of family and friends being aware of the relationship ( we sent pictures that included times where both parents met at a dinner )
I honestly do not know what to do .

The recently added items we were asked to send are
1) evidence of wedding preparations ( which I have no clue how I’m going to go about it , because we haven’t been able to make plans since we do not know how long this whole process with last)
2)evidence of financial support

Please I need help on how to go about this . Thank you

Why would you need an immigration lawyer? Is your case complex? Being denied a Student Visa in the past will not affect your Fiancée Visa application. It will be adjudicated based on its merit and not based on your previous visa denials.

Finally God has done it for me o. Our case was approved after 9 months 17 days.
2nd November 2020, NOA1
June 16th 2021 USCIS sent us RFE
July 8th 2021 USCIS received RFE
case was approved 19th July 2021, NOA2.

For those of you still waiting, I say hang in there you'll hear the good news soon .
Please how long will it take for uscis to send our file to nvc and nvc to the embassy? I Live in Dakar Senegal.

The incident happened about 15 years ago but she confessed about 5years ago and I'm yet to recover from the shock. After we left school, I was innocently nicer to her as we've been through school times. When I relocated to abuja, I invited her to hustle with me so that she could get a job but she couldn't. When I equally got a bank job and relocated to minna, I invited her as well and she joined me but she couldn't get a good job. You would be the principal applicant because you have a masters degree . If your husband has any degree he can apply with you and you can both write the English test IELTS ..... Your main sucess will depend on how well you peform on the test as well as your husband .

If your husband has no cert or if you feel he will perform poorly in the english test you might have to take the journey alone for now .

Theres a site you can calculate your score to check your chances and know where you stand, that is the CRS calculator ..... U can just type it on google and it will take you there . Scroll down and fill the form, it will tell you where you stand ....
