HOW I LOST A BUSINESS DEAL AND RUIN MY REPUTATION JUST BECAUSE.... ( it was a bitter experience but I learnt my lesson) Well as they say, in Life you either learn from others mistake or learn from yours The latter is a bitter pill to shallow, but that was what happened to me on 24th, April 2018. Please Read carefully , not to pity me but to learn from my tragedy. My name is Ade, a young man of 24 years , a First class graduate of business administration in university of Lagos. After graduation, I decided to work as a freelancer, helping Business owners analyse and strategies their business to increase their presence on social media which of course had a positive relation to their sales. I got the best invite of my carrier to help out a big multinational company to analyse their marketing strategy as they spend too much on ads with little result realize. If their desire was actuated and I will be placed on a monthly salary of 500k which came with the benefit of working at my own convenience. it all sounds nice until I messed up. Disaster struck on the fateful day of visiting the company and meeting their board of directors for the first time. Neglecting my friends opinion of getting at least a suit to be use for such an important occasion, I got dressed in my Jean trouser and my favourite polo shirt with a boldly inscription at the front "MY MONEY GROW LIKE GRASS" and boom, I was good to go, at least in my own eyes. Afterall it's about the contents not the container, so I thought. The first embarrassment I got was from the security men at the entrance of the company who mistakenly took me for a plumber that refused to fix their pumping machine correctly some few days ago. At last, I got to the conference room, all eye was set on me, I could sense their disappointment they all stared at me in utter disbelieve . "Is this the Man we are waiting for?" Someone whispered. To cut the long story short, I wasn't allow to present my solution to the companys problem with their reason being that I didn't take them seriously enough to have dress that way. 500k was gone, my reputation was ruined!. I am not a fan of suits although i could afford them but i you don't just like it. Not too long ago i got introduced to GF CLOTHINGS and this changed my view. They specialise in men's corporate and casual wears. I got my first plain suit of ash colour( ash is my favourite colour) from their store and it did the magic. This same suit was worn on the day i got a big deal with another production company. This plain suits are available in various colours and they are perfect for any outing. They are trendy, the silhouette is sleek, modern and stylish. The hips are snug to the body and the length are always left adjustable.
