As christians we have not been designed/made to work on our own,but with the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the heart and soul of a growing,flourishing Christian life.
THE HOLY SPIRIT
1)The Holy Spirit is someone-a person; the third party of the God-head. Not something but someone given as a gift τ̅☺ the body of christ.
2) He lives with us at the very depth of our inner being. All believers are Spirit baptized and spirit-in dwelt. Rm 8:9
3) He enables us when we give up our own efforts and realized how disabled we are without him .John 15:5
4) He expresses the fullness of his power through us when we allow him τ̅☺ fill us.

THE PURPOSE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
1) The Holy Spirit has been given as " another" kind of Christ to help us love the victorious Christian life.
2) He is to control our lives( what alcohol is to the body negatively, he is to the new nature positively)
3 ) When the Holy Spirit takes over, a lot of excuses are nullified because the Holy Spirit can change our personality and transform us super-naturally

The Holy Spirit was placed in us at our salvation. When his power comes in contact with our willingness to be filled, we are empowered to do great things.
