I'm not downplaying actions, but we are showing the path of transformation..it is words (of God) that initiates the change of actions. When you want to change the fruits(works) being produced you change the seeds(words) sown..

I would like to re emphasise v 11, it said to reckon, acknowledge, oneself to be dead to sin. This is where the power is, it is from this stand point that v14 comes to bear..
You have to acknowledge that you are dead to sin, practically let's say porn for instance, how do you practically acknowledge or reckon yourself as dead to porn?
You acknowledge or reckon things in the kingdom by your words/confessions. So you say to yourself, "I am dead to porn, therefore porn has no hold over me". You may go ahead to watch porn after saying that, but you need maintain your dead state in respect to sin.. Men can't respond to things they are dead to. So don't lament, and acknowledge sin even when you do sin, continue to acknowledge that you are dead to porn, and alive to God.. Do this everyday consistently for 4 weeks, and you'd literally feel the grip of that addiction loosen and become slippery over you.

I understand your point sire, but just a few observations.. On the day of pentecost(Acts 2), everyone "heard" them speak in his or her own tongue or language. The Bible never said the disciples spoke their language, only dat the people heard was said in their language.
Just to create a mental picture for you sir, imagine we had ibos, yorubas, hausas, tiv, efik, etc languages present, how exactly did d disciples speak multiple languages at once? Each person heard the disciples speak in their own tongue. So on d day of pentecost, God gave divine interpretation to all present to.

Firstly there is no such thing as a "Christian" hair style...One of the most important factors in a believer's life is INTENTION or MOTIVE.
Remember the story of Job, how d devil accused him before God, saying job's motive for serving God was because of the material benefits bestowed on him(job), this clearly shows that the same action may be wrong or right under different motives..
So the point is, what's the motive behind ur hair style?
And as a believer who seeks to represent Christ, you have a duty to look presentable (as defined by those to whom you seek to preach christ) not because God has an issue with hairstyles but because of the mindset of the mindset of the people you seek to reveal Christ to.
