JUST IN; Reports Has It That Nigerian Singer, Barry Jhay Is Innocent Of His Label Boss, Kashy’s Death.

In the early hours of Today March 8, 2021, An Eye Witness (Identity Hidden) gave an account of what happened on the 7th of March 2021, between Barry Jhay and Kashy in an apartment in Ghana. The Eye Witness shared;

“I have a story for you regarding Barry J and what exactly happened. Kashy has been acting strange ever since his efcc case, his friends say he suffered from PTSD due to his arrest, while in efcc custody he always hit his head on the wall daily while in his cell. After his release he started taking molly and all kinds of drugs, people around him know he has been acting strange. He invited Barry over to Ghana saying he wants to be around him and also wanted Barry to work with some producers in Ghana. It was all love between them.

They moved from one serviced apartment to another one. The apartment where this incident happened is a high end apartment with all round security. They heard Kashy beating Barry up and went there to separate them, Barry left the house and he made that video on his way to the police station to report the beating incident. Kashy was still alive while he left. After he left Kashy was fighting the security men and while they were trying to hold him, He ran from them and was doing stunts on the balcony railings, he slipped and fell. It was a tragic death by mistake. He did not commit suicide.

Barry wrote a statement and the police followed him to arrest Kashy and they met him dead. Barry’s only mistake was making a video calling him a Jew! He sent that video to only one person who then spread the video. He didn’t send anyone to beat him like Sir Kuti said, this thing happens in the midnight in Ghana is that how they will send people to beat someone up in a hotel apartment? How will they gain entrance with all the security and how will they get to Ghana so quickly and in the middle of the night also.

One person is reportedly to have died and three others injured after an elevator conveying people at Ibadan Cocoa House collapsed on Wednesday.

Details about the occurence were still sketcy at the time of filling this report but an eye witness disclosed that the elevator was faulty and has been repaired before it collapsed and fell on the workers.

THE NCC DIRECTIVE ON SIM-NIN REGISTRATION

The Federal government, through the NCC has given 2 weeks ultimatum for us to ensure that all phone numbers in Nigeria have a NIN (National ID Number attached). In all fairness, this requirement had been gazetted since 2017 in the “Mandatory Use of the National Identification Number (NIN) Regulations of 2017”, but we all ignored it. So, it’s actually been a 3 year time grace that the government gave us. The requirement would help us all to secure our country better.

Below are 10 things to note about the new NCC directive.

If your phone number is not linked to Your NIN by 31st of December 2020, your line would be blocked!
For those who already have a NIN, You can get your NIN by dialing *346# from the phone number you supplied during your NIN registration. The service costs 20 naira. You may then choose to save the NIN on your phone so that you don’t have to pay again forever. �
You actually no longer need a physical national I.D card, what you need is just to have your NIN (which is just the number). This is the new trajectory of the government. Remember that for BVN, most people also don’t have a card.
If you already have a BVN, you may already likely have a NIN even if you have never physically gone to register for a NIN (especially if your BVN starts with 221 or 222), this has been made possible because of the great collaboration between NIMC (National Identity Management Commission) and NIBSS (Nigeria Interbank Settlement System)PLC. You may be able to ask your bank to confirm for you. As a matter of fact, for those who use GTB, you can log into your account online or the bank app to check for your NIN by yourself (please note that this is not an advert for any bank) peopleloaded.ng TV
NIMC has now licensed over 150 companies/entities that can carry out NIN enrollment all over the Country, so NIN enrollment would be faster now, unlike when it was only NIMC carrying out the enrollment. This is called the “Ecosystem Approach”.
Yes, You can tie your single NIN to all your phone numbers. Same way you tied ur single BVN to all your account numbers.
To link your NIN to your MTN number, all you need to do is dial *785#. For those who are in diaspora (and so can’t dial the USSD), you can use the URL https://mtnonline.com/nim/ .
We await the ussd codes and URLs of the other telcos for their own sim linkage.
If the phone number you used for the NIN registration has changed or is missing, you need to update your record with NIMC. The update costs you only 500 naira.
Your submitted NIN would be validated. If your data with the Telco doesn’t match with your NIN data, you would have to sort that out while your sim may be temporarily disabled.
Sale of new SIMs have been suspended till further notice, so no one can purchase any new SIM for now.

The strategy of GTB in number 3 above can be deployed by other banks to cater for people in Diaspora so that our diasporans can know what their generated NINs are (again, no adverts intended).

This move by the NCC may cause us slight discomfort, but it’s something we should all support and commit to, for our own safety security.

The federal government through the National Social Safety Nets Coordinating Office (NASSCO), says a total of 5,433,394 Nigerians are now on the conditional cash transfer programme.

According to an infographic shared on its Twitter page, the beneficiaries are drawn from 1,080,240 households across 32 states.

This was as of January 31, 2020.

Also, the office said it has captured 9,458,160 individuals on the national social register of poor and vulnerable households.

This, it said, is across 43,258 communities in 35 states.


NASSCO said the national social register would be used to support outreach, registration and determination of potential eligibility for one or more social programs for poor & vulnerable Nigerians.

In 2017, the federal government had said it would register about five million Nigerians in the national social register for the poor and vulnerable households.

These vulnerable people, President Muhammadu Buhari said, would be enrolled on government intervention programmes that would be tailored for their needs.

The programmes are being financed partly by the $32o million Sanni Abacha loot repatriated by the government of Switzerland.

“The Global Forum on Asset Recovery (GFAR) saw the signing of a memorandum of understanding between Nigeria and the government of Switzerland for the return of an additional $320m of the Sani Abacha loot,” the president said at the time.

“Included in that agreement is the commitment that the funds would be invested in one of Nigeria’s flagship social investment programmes, the conditional h Transfer scheme targeted at the poorest and most vulnerable households in our country.”

The programmes are managed by the ministry of humanitarian affairs and disaster management.

Samsung has accidentally leaked its next flagship smartphone on its official website, days before its expected launch.

Images of the Galaxy S20 appear to confirm several previously rumoured features, including a hole-punch selfie camera and an updated rear camera arrangement.
They showed the device within a case fitted with LEDs in a similar arrangement to one of the official cases for the Galaxy S10.

Similar to its predecessor, the Galaxy S20 also features a substantial bump for the housing unit of the rear camera lenses.

The Galaxy S20 is expected to be officially unveiled at Samsung’s Unpacked event on 11 February, though numerous leaks mean there is little left that is not already known.
