I made this statement as early as 7am this morning, Now what is happening

Well aside Stockbrockers when i see those that take stock trading as a full time occupation,I keep SMH for them.

STOCK MARKET is a dangerous arena where you can deploy a little percentage of your monthly income.

If it works out good but if it doesn't then you move on with life and try next time when it's convenient for you.PERIOD!

That has been the nitty gritty of my message.

*ThE OcToPuS*

So move on!

I don't think so. Oando is currently on an 8% loss according to Bloomberg.

the unaudited results are out they said Zenith bank has posted a N135 billion turn over for Qtr 1

Pls trade with caution knowing the NSE the result might instead cause a decline in price!

You're not going to see any significant turn around in Zenith bank YET. At least not this week. FBNH can still go either way. I suspect there'll be brief respite for both stocks, yes, but they are still going DOWN. I remember stating the path UCAP was going to take in it's last trading days before it's Ex-div, which it did. The market needs more than just new 52 week lows to stage an effective turn around. Emphasis on 'effective'

But this is just my call (more of speculation). We will see what the market has to say. wink
smiley
your call does not spur action and too many loose bits. since you're speculating, price and time should be first contemplated and can then be vaguely specified.
"not this week" is too vague. "FBNH can still go either way" is also vague. "...respite"; vague. "... but they are still going down" this is clearly a good example because stocks are always heading down in a bear market, it's predicting a detailed heading up that's the tricky part.
Also my prediction for a turnaround has little to do with any new 52 week low.

Market, starting with a couple of stocks like Zenith bank, will begin to turn around on Friday if not tomorrow. Then by next week others will follow. Zenith offered good price @ N10.52 today, closed @ 10.96 though 11.00 was expected. If it trades lower tomorrow - take it!

As for FBNH i think we should be patient. wink

Please by Friday if not tomorrow we will see an abrupt turn around in some stocks like Zenith, and others. like @Megainvest has rightfully said opportunity is presenting itself wink

There is probability that the share price of FBNH may likely go down more until they start releasing sound result. The stock may bounce back by this time next year if they declare juicy dividend.
mercylicious:

oh, so sorry. i just saw the closure date is next week. i thought its this week.
The right thing i shld have said is dt i will monitor d price movts and sell anytime i see sideways trading.

grin
Agbalowomeri:

The share price will only gain 15%

Like Agbalowomeri has rightfully said even if price goes up now it cannot do more than 15%. Without the announcement of a thrilling result going up from N3.50 is next to impossible. I foresee FBNH price heading down! Lower.

I like d closure date of zenith. A single distinct date, not a deceptive range of closure dates angry

deceptive or distinct there has always been one ex dividend date

pls leave sentiments aside?
if I state something against a stock means I don't have it in my portfolio.
I'm never emotional if it dips good,if the other way same

The Zenith release did not disappoint and is right on schedule with UBA and GT. The NSE is poised for Bulls.

Life itself can be very unfair if only i had just waited a lil bit may be i for they buy my own car and house right now...Feeling really angry wif me self
You will buy car. Amen.

if you check the last four weeks you will see a pattern of price appreciation then depreciation. I sounded that warning at that point in time as you could see it happened again and came back to 0.78.

pl i believe FCMB will appreciate in price eventually like i have said earlier. The result is what is delaying this so far.

YOu can buy FCMB now and wait (long term) but if you are lucky and result is released now, price will most definitely reach 1.50

Investment / Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by peptola: 9:12pm On Mar 10, 2016
I was giving the FCMB warning so we could avoid a situation like this, which has happened a couple of times already.

I am also aware that “crisis breeds opportunity” so I am convinced FCMB will have an eventual rally that could be more rewarding than what is happening with Oando.

Pls take note that Oando and FCMB are most definitely not mutually exclusive so the current trajectory of oando will demand a response from FCMB. There is a rally coming for FCMB.

As for Zenith, result will come out tomorrow; price will shoot. The current price of N12.40 is on schedule (judging from history)

I never said it wouldn't rally at some point just that at 50 kobo would have been less riskier. Hope you are still on smiley

I am about to dump FCMB shares on their sorry ass

Since you are doing short term, why don't wait till tomorrow?
Furthermore it has taken almost t2o months for Tigerbrand to rally to today's price - long term on FCMB might not be such a bad idea.

Everyone should not forget that Zenith released their 2014 audited result in March 5, 2015 last year grin

So it was March 5th it was released to the NSE and not 6th? But do you know audited result was ready on the 29th Feb 2015

If probably UBA result is very bad,its final EPS may at least be 90 Kobo! It is still likely UBA would pay 30 or 40 Kobo, and don't forget UBA paid 20 Kobo as interim dividend.

Yes UBA result is good and they will pay high dividend but what caused such huge offer and no bid if not "advanced kalo kalo or sports betting". They put fear and cause you to sell cheap - I think some prankster has been trying to do that with Zenith Bank too since yesterday
