His gratuity when he retired was 46k, i need not to tell you the worth and cashflow he is getting from the 46k retirement benefits which he invested well. Coupled with series of good real estate investments he made during his 25 years in service

freeman67:
Nothing much to analyse there really. One man's comfort is another man's lack. DSTV premium subscription for a month is about N18,400.. Some people subscribe it and still add extra money for other package such as hdd/extra views for their other room and even French or Asian and on/ touch extra packages which could amount to about N24,600 while others use GoTV & startime then subscribe minimum (GoTV) and some do not even have any cable TV at all yet they are comfortable with the situation.

Some people go to Buka in Transcorp Hilton, Dunes, javenik, etc just to take breakfast, lunch or dinner as it pleases them while others are ok with mama Chidinma N300 per plate or small roasted yam. All of them see it as comfortable accorfing to their pocket.

Some people can make do with Aboki bread of N100 and be ok while others are not even ok with normal family loaf but instead will go for fruit bread.

To still burst out bubble as desirable as private schools seem these days, government schools are still filled up. Infact lots of them still requires good grades and strong connections to be admitted.

People leave in an environment where they have their own duplexes house about 16 ACs or more washing machines, Electric Cookers and other heavy appliances in their house with at least 30KVA gen and above.. you can imagine the Electricity bills and diesel bills. Some may only afford a 1,2 or 3 bedroom.

People build it 1,000 sqm in maitama, asokoro, Wuse 2 ,Katampe Extension, wuye , guzape etc... While others will enter mpape, Orozo etc to build on 200sqm.

Bills most times comes to you as the society and people around you sees you.

Also, do not underestimate the power of contribution for those that believe in it. In civil/public service a lot of people with meagre salary and without means of looting/stealing still achieve things with it.

Many people did not just get married and start having children before work or immediately they get employed. Some would have designed a pattern to save and invest with their salary no matter how meagre and getting a head way before marriage.

So, that the loud majority can not cut their coat according to their cloth does not mean people are not achieving more with little...
Let assume he was doing the bolded 10k a month, it means 120k a year, right? MMF or any investment he will do will have to be compounded for 5 yrs and inflation will wipe it out

#VOLUME

CORRELATION BETWEEN BTC PRICE AND VOLATILITY

Recent Crash From ATH liquidated most of the Future trader's Wallet. Looking at the volume and Recovery from 47k the funding rate is quite low. Volatility is reduced for now and we seeing a stable movement up and down. Lack of funding indicating a downward movement.

Some identifying documents required by KYC processes include:

Driver’s License / Government-issued photo ID

Passport

Social security number

PAN card

Voter ID Card

Address verification is also necessary. Applicants may submit different documentary proof, depending on the bank’s practices. Some examples include a utility bill, account statement from a different bank or credit card issuer or a lease agreement.

After providing a customer with an account, banks are required to perform periodic record updates. This means they continue to “recertify” their customers with intermittent requests for KYC information throughout their banking relationship. They also assign a risk level to their customers and monitor customer transactions to ensure they match expected behavior.

KYC practices aren’t limited to banking institutions. The financial investment industry uses KYC processes in compliance with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) KYC Rule 2090. But rather than an AML effort, these KYC practices help investment companies better understand client needs.
Investment / Re: Crypto Currency Investors Thread by PerfectMatchNG: 11:34am On Apr 30, 2021
Yes it is allowed. However you can not use the same verification document for both the accounts. Using a passport for 1 account and using your driver's license for the the other account is the way to go.

Arguments Against Technical Analysis
One of the most quoted arguments against the significance of technical analysis is that of the Efficient Market Hypothesis (EMH). This basically asserts that asset prices fully reflect all available information and that price movements follow what is called a “Random Walk”.

In other words, the asset price will reflect all available information in the market and is correctly priced. If there are movements in one way or the other, these will be related to pure chance and cannot be modeled or predicted.

Of course, the EMH is itself quite a dogmatic theory that is often also used to dismiss other forms of investing such as fundamental analysis. In its strictest form, the EMH asserts that the most optimal investing strategy is to “buy and hold” the market as any other form of active management cannot yield excess returns in the long run.

While most people will avoid this rigid approach when countering technical analysis, these are some of the other arguments that are made:

Subjective Pattern Interpretation: When the technician is trying to identify charts and patterns in the price of an asset, it is possible for them to “see” a pattern when it is really subjective. In other words, it is possible that one technical analyst will identify a head and shoulders pattern when others are not likely to see it. So the effectiveness of a trading strategy based on subjective interpretation is hard to assess.
Data Mining Bias: This is when a technical analyst will select one indicator over the other given that this indicator confirms their view of where the market is going. Even if that indicator is contradicted by a whole host of other technical indicators.
Stronger Competition: Even if there are cases when past price information informs future prices, technicians have some pretty stiff competition from the likes of quantitative hedge funds and high frequency trading firms. These firms use complicated AI algorithmic trading strategies that are able to read order flow and movements much more quickly than the average technical analyst can.
Indeed, some of the most notable investors such as Warren Buffet do not view technical analysis too favorably. He famously once said:

I realized that technical analysis didn’t work when I turned the chart upside down and didn’t get a different answer

So, do these arguments have any basis in fact?

Investment / Re: Crypto Technical Analysis: Complete Beginners Guide To TA by PerfectMatchNG: 11:15am On Apr 30, 2021
What is Technical Analysis?
Technical analysis is quite broadly defined as the practice using past price information on a particular asset in order to make forecasts as to the future direction of said asset.

Unlike fundamental analysis that analyses the underlying asset itself, technical analysis is merely concerned with the price levels, trends and volume. It is a theoretical expansion of the notion of behavioral economics.

They believe that price trends tend to repeat themselves due to the collective behavior of these investors. Technicians base their analysis on crowd psychology and the patterned behavior of the investors. Given that technical analysis is purely concerned with price data, it can be used to map the price of any asset over any period of time. Hence, they have been used in broad range of asset classes with analysis stretching from years to mere hours.

While this is the textbook definition of what technical analysis is, many technicians know that it should not be looked at as an exact science. They view it as a strategy that can inform their trading and increase their chances of long-term success.

Now that you have a reasonable idea of what technical analysis is, let’s take a look at the other side of the argument.

What’s the real deal with Technical Analysis? Can you really use it to make trading returns on a consistent basis?

Indeed, this is an ago old question which long predates cryptocurrency trading. Some traders will swear by it while others view it as nothing more than financial tarot card reading.

As with most things related to trading, the answer to this question usually comes down to the individual trader and the assets being traded. It is not just whether it is used but how it is used.

In this post, we will take a deeper look into technical analysis theory and whether it can effectively be used in your cryptocurrency portfolio.

But first, let’s start with some basics…
