i am very sorry for not responding the first time. Back to ur question
1. I am using presently now, SRT4922A, but before now, I was using SRT4669x and SRT4900. The srt4669x always give me better signal than srt4900. But since I bought SRT4922A, I have been very happy about it.
2. I have between 63% to 65% not stable on Arabsat 20E
3. The dielectric plate is at the same position at the two tread line of insertion but not too deep inside. It is very easy to pull it out unlike the first one I used. I inserted that one very deep but I still have better signal that the present one. I will have to change it to the formal LNB.
4. On 3964 v 30000, the signal level increased to 65% but not hitting green still. I ave not gotten much of time to continuing work on it. But I will do everything humanly possible this weekend to pull result, then I shall report back to the house.

obnelly: That is a good news but is there anybody who have nailed such bird with 90cm in the south west region? By doing this we can understand the behaviour of signal down link in our regions.I guess there are some signal split over from Nilesat in the nothern region.

Many of of u who are on this forum some years back (year 2011) youl will remember I posted on this forum about my findings that I was able to track this Nilesat MBC channels with my 1m dish. I started posting it on this forum by 8:07am On Jul 27, 2011 but by 9:03am On Aug 29, 2011 I announced in this forum I quote;

So, this is not the first time I posted my findings. Many were doubting it because they were not in the north. I mentioned then that I reside in Abuja. I dont know what else to say. Go back to the date above and check my first posting on this. I posted picture from my srt 4669x decoder. Many said it was a lie. Since then, I have been watching it non-stop till yesterday night.

And if you read on from there, I posted the type of LNB I used Premium 2 HD but when I got another LNB (Premium Super HD)that increased the signal, I reported back to th forum.

There are lot of arguments saying it is not possible. But, I am watching it. If any of is living in Abuja, pay me a visit to see it yourself. I told other installer here in Abuja, they doubted it but one of them tried it in His own shop and got it, then he believed me.

Your position matters. Don't expect MBC SD signal on any part of Nigeria besides North. You know North is closer to MENA than any other part, you need 1.8m and above to track. I was only very lucky to have nailed the MBC channels with my own dish because I stay in Abuja. And by God's grace I have nailed it for more than 6 people as well.

obnelly: mbc on 90cm on nilesat 7w?That is not possible with such dish .Although it all depend on your geographical location.if you are closer to mena regions you may be lucky enough with 90cm.

If you say it is not possible. For me, it has been made possible. When I first nailed it, I did not believe it. I always do research on my dish almost everyday. I am watching those channels with my own dish. My dish are the pictures I posted earlier on. May be you have to look at the dish very well. I have two of that dish, 1 60cm and also 1 DSTV dish. Assuming there is a way of posting the direct video, I shall record everything from the dish down to the two 8-diseqc swith I have to my my sitting room to the 2 decoders I have and the connections.

All the MBC channels on 11938 v 27500 are free but the MBC HD channels remain scrambled on 11555 V 27500.

List of channels are; Africa TV, Tayba TV,Africa TV Sawahili, TV de Mauritanie,Africa TV Wazobiya,Iqraa Arabic, Al Manar TV, Africa TV Swahili, Saudi Arabian TV 1, KSA 2, Saudi sport 1, TVM2 Plus, Abu Dhabi Al Oula, Al Jazeera English, Al Jazeera Sport 1 etc in total I have 37 channels. But almost all are in Arabic language except Al Jazera english and some other two.

I used the following TPs to track my satellites:
1.Amos5 - 12335 v 27500 to the highest (NTA will pop up)
2. Arabsat 20E -3884 V 27500
3. Joy Tv 28E - 12524 H 19531
4. DSTV 36E - 12245 H 27500
5. Turksat 42 - 12690 v 7200 (tune to the highest u will have 17 channels)
6. 4.5E - 11727 v 30000 or 12015 v 29950 or 12054 v 29950
7. Nilesat 7w - 10992 v 27500 ( if u tune it to the highest, u will miss out on the MBCs and Jsc +1 to +5, but it better u use either 11938 v 27500 or 12207 v 27500- tune to the highest then, u will have others when you blind scan)
8. 22w - 12610 v 30000

On top of Turksat42E is Intelsat 10-47.5°E using this TP: 12602 V 27500. All these can be made possible on 60cm dish size and above. While other picture are there below.

Kingjames: Why this hype abt those few non English-speaking channels in badr 5? Haven't really seen any fantastic programmes from them that is worth pursuing.
Adding a new lnb, does it really worth it?

Note that, the TPs has been down since last year, but they are just coming back up again. Who know what will happen. More channels might come up. Let still wait patiently to see what they will offer us.

Yes u can. But the MBCs still remain srambled. The best way to track it is to track Joy TV first, then lift up your dish small to hit green on any of the two given TPs.

Very well. Just track Amos 5 as ur primary LNB, on top you will get Joy TV. Then, adjust ur LNB very well, u will hit green on the given frequencies. Note that, u will drop little sinal on Joy TV. Thanks.

sammu: These tps belong to badr5@26e. If u align ur lnb properly, u will receive these tps with ur multitv@ 28e.
Method: track multitv first. Peak ur signal then move ur dish upwards and reduce ur signal by say 5%. Badr tps will pop green. just try it.

Go to your dish, lift it up small. Mind u, make sure u don't loose too much signal of ur Joy Tv, definitely, the signal must reduce a bit. Thanks.

obnelly: petfun,because the satellite covers west Africa you can "link" it to eutelsat 16 and Amos 17.But the satellite is on 26 and not 28.but your possibility of picking it on 28 is sure.

I am quite very sure of that. I did not link it in any way to 16/17E. I only ask people who track Joy TV to input the two frequencies because there is possibility of getting the signal. But when u input and could not, all u need is to try on the same direction to lift your Joy TV dish up a little, then u hit green.

Good morning my fellow nairaland. I saw something that suprised me yesterday on 28.2E ( Joy TV). Go to that sat, input these two frequencies and scan, then see what i am talking about;
12304H27500 (5 new channels)
12266H27500 (All MBC HD channels but scrambled)
Also,rescan 12526H/V19531 for Discovery

On Amos, 11065V1244 for Bonferey TV and 10805H3000 for Afrca TV

This is for this morning.

The pictures I promised today, will be delayed till tomorrow, because I was somewhere doing installations till 9pm yesterday night. I got home almost 10pm. There is no way I can start climbing ladder. But promise to snap the pictures and post first thing tomorrow morning.

The simplest way is: first track Amos5 @17E to a high quality. Then 16E will ordinarily be captured. If you track with 16E freq, most of the 17E channels will be red. You can use the 16E as a reference point and after hitting green you input 17E freq like11884v27500 and make sure you hit green to the highest quality. Adding multi tv on top of 17E and DSTV on top of Multi tv for one dish is not a simple job for a newbie like you. The signal reflects on the dish to different direction so the Lnbf you places on top of another Lnb, will never be in straight line with the first one. So adding the third one becomes a problem for you. Easiest way is: first track Multi tv as your primary Lnbf. Put a small wood or any object on top of the multi tv and while standing in front of rhe dish, put the Dstv lnbf slightly to the left side of the multi tv lnb. Do turning of only the Dstv LNB till you hit green. Then After hitting green, stand in front of the dish, tie the 17E Lnb on the right side of the Lnb arm slightly below the bolt which tightens the multi tv lnbf bracket. .

I Have 6 in 1 set up as follows;
(a.) Arabsat-5C 20.0°E C- band as my primary LNB (b.) below it is Amos 5 17/16.0°E (c.) Above it as an arm extension is Eutelsat 28A/B - Astra 1N/2A/2F 28.2°E Ku-Joy TV (d.) Followed up is Eutelsat 36A/36B 36.0°E Ku-DSTV (e.) followed up is Türksat 2A/3A 42.0°E Ku and (f.)followed up is Intelsat 10 47.5°E Ku. I shall post the picture tomorrow. All the set up on my 1m dish.

Seyilome: Pls my brothers, answer this questions,am a novice o. Between Amos 5 and Astra 2b which one is more interesting and pls what is the total tv stations on Amos 5 and also on Astra 2b each. Tanx pls dnt ignore my questions.

Total channels on Amos 5 = 263
Total on Astra2b = 17

MAke ur choice. But, Ait on Amos could go on scramble while the Consat test transmission is still on but may go on scramble too, still let us fold our arms believing the best.

now all guys from my camp have stop 2 dish of multitv and mytv when i teach them this
now what they do is cos 8 way diesqc is expensive they just pick 68.5e.28.2e 17e.and 36e and leave the rest

the diescq is the only problem some times but it work very good
