What's the measurement per plot? 100x100 or 100x50? |
If anonymity and unrestricted access is all user want, then TOR would be a better solution. |

Nwoke m, it might be best for you to create this in a form using Google Drive. It's free and your reach will also be unlimited by just sharing the link to the form. Also, it'll be easier to extract statistical info from the responses. |
dunsinogundele:Yes. |
Old news. Acquisition was in July 2013. Problem is that the app that was once cross-platform (with versions for Android and Windows) is now exclusive to iOS - just another reason to despise anything Apple. |
It doesn't look like First Bank gives its customers the option to fix their own minimum rate, unlike other banks. I understand no such option in their form. Can anyone confirm? |
Onuokwu:That was my line of thought. Real Estate investment has plenty of advantages. Besides the annual yield, properties appreciate in value if maintained properly and surrounding area develops. My guess is that this building (and land) cost at least N50mil. Put that in T-Bill for 1yr at 15%, and you're looking at close to N8mil true yield - stress free. I'm curious to know the owner's reasoning in having such cheap rent of N2mil/yr at full capacity. Perhaps @spyder880 can shed more light on it? ![]() |
Oguledoen:It depends on the initial investment - total cost of the building and maintenance (something that isn't strictly enforced in Nigeria). I actually miscalculated, it is 2mil. There are other safe investment instruments (e.g. T-Bills) that'll yield far higher than 2mil/yr with the presumed cost of that house and land. Rapidx: Even at that, how did you arrive at 4million per year?Yes, you're right, I calculated based on 16flats, not 8. |
spyder880:That's cheap man; just 4mil/yr at full capacity, and one still has to factor in maintenance costs. How much do you figure it'll cost in total to complete the property? |
ummitoagirl:You got exactly 15.25% from your bank without specifying your desired rate? Which bank is this? |
Attractive project. If one intends to purchase say 2 plots adjacent each other, would that imply paying twice the amount of the "other fees"? |
Apreel:Great to see Ozuitem represented here. I'm from Isiegbu. |
CityNG:Nice pictures, although for an open air space, I'm not sure having a wood floor is a good idea, considering external conditions, especially rainfalls. |
Harkynkunle:Interests are annual. The investment was not for 1yr, but 91days (3 months), so divide that 10% by 4 (i.e 12months/3), and your interest is 2.5%. That gives you N5,000 for the 20,000. |
deebsman1:It didn't take him 2 days, he did it two days ago. Knowledge is power, don't be lazy, read through the thread and you'll get answers to questions you didn't even think about. |

There are internal and external factors that determine the strength of currencies around the globe. With the current drop in oil prices, Naira - amongst other currencies - is not holding strong against US Dollars. So, how does the currency of major oil-producing countries hold up against the mighty US Dollar? Let's look at the past year, between Jan 21, 2014 and Jan 22, 2015. Russian Ruble Approx. 93% increase from 33.97/1USD to 65.52RUB (partly due to sanctions and oil price drop) Canadian Dollars Approx. 13.7% increase from 1.09/1USD to 1.24CAD Saudi Arabian Riyal RIY didn't budge much against USD, remaining relatively steady at around 3.75RIY United Arab Emirates Dirham AED to USD didn't budge either. 1USD remains approx. 3.673AED Chinese Yuan Approx. 2.62% increase from 6.051/1USD to 6.21CNY Brazil Real Approx. 10.1% increase from 2.36/1USD to 2.60BRL Mexican Peso Approx. 11.3% increase from 13.28/1USD to 14.78MXN Kuwait Dinar Approx. 4.2% increase from 0.283/1USD to 0.295KWD Nigerian Naira Approx. 19.86% increase 159.39/1USD to 191.05NGN (partly due to elections and oil price drop) People thought Naira would trade above 200/1USD by end of 2014; it's yet to. The political climate after elections will greatly determine its fate. My people, vote wisely and peacefully! |
KanwuliaJara:That's another thing. The reality is that many of these househelps aren't paid well - some not at all. Sure, you may take care of their academics/shelter and feed them, but that's what most'll get! |
asadike:Even if that involves combining it with regular daytime work? |
In many parts of Nigeria, it is common practice for families to have a house help/maid (sometimes a relative) who assists madam with domestic chores, while oga concentrates on being the main breadwinner - never cooks or cleans anything. However, we're also seeing a category of men who wouldn't mind helping in domestic things. So, assuming money isn't much of an issue: Ladies, would you rather have a maid help out on house duties, or your husband? Men, why would (or wouldn't) you help your wife with the domestic chores? |
Sting operations are practiced almost everywhere, including the US. |
deennest:The "risk" is that if your bid is higher than the stop rate, then you'll lose out. That is, your money stays in your account. |
Compared to what you get in a more guaranteed Treasury Bill (15% for 364days), the profit on this isn't attractive. |
Great work you have going on here, Spyder! What do you figure would be the cost estimate/range for this building? I'm hoping to have something similar in Abia State. |
It would've been nice if it wasn't limited to sending between Nigerian banks. |
Ojix85:Kaboom! That's more like it! |
Your question doesn't really make sense. Source codes are essentially underlying algorithms for an application. They come in different forms, lengths, and syntaxes - depending on the language(s) and platform used. So, what again is your question? |
Compared to what's happening to Russian Ruble, this is nothing. Serious, but could be much worse. |
