I have recreated the experiment here and it works. So unless you can share your script and markup i cant know much. Besides have you tried debugging with the developer tools of your browser?

I strongly believe your script is running before your page is ready. Take the script tag to the bottom of the page and not at the top. If this doesn't work try and share your markup and script let's see

Give your modal div an id, now on the element you want to use outside the modal div, use an anchor tag and set the href to the id of your modal div. Then on the element also add this attr data-toggle="modal". Also make sure you bring in the bootstrap.js file

Fellow programmers. of recent the power supply in my area has gone from manageable to very very bad. I have been thinking, is there any sort of external battery or inverter out there that can power my laptop for about 10 hrs straight that is not too expensive? i'v thought of using car battery but don't really know how to make it work, i have also heard about used INEC batteries but rumors has it that they die off in less than 6 months. Please anyone with idea or info should please kindly drop it here.
