ddippset:O boy ignore these ronu riff raffs... Awolowo should have used the funds he used in educating some of them to carry hook up babes. 😂 hedonido:God bless you... these cretins are nauseating! 🤢 |
Xisnin:But are they not behind him? 😂... tell your 27 clowns to honour the meeting IN THEIR OWN INTEREST O! |
A man you should never UNDERESTIMATED 😂.. morons everywhere... no wonder you are impressed with a fellow dunce like Wike. |
This is a case of fucke.d if we go and fucke.d if we don't for the 27 lawmakers 😂 They don't go? People will see they don't want peace as the governor was smart to list the agenda of the meeting with everything favoring them 😂 They go? Then realise truly they have no cards left to play. |
bixton:Kai... truly some of you are kids on this platform.. See this one reasoning 😂 Oga..THIS IS A POWER MOVE...... 1.Fubara is inviting them to his turf where he already has an advantage over them psychologically. 2. At the meeting, he will present them with 2 options.. negotiate a favorable deal for themselves WITHOUT WIKE in the picture OR Hell will be let loose in Rivers. A good number out of the 27 seeing they actually are the ones without a choice will break ranks there and then. power move! 😎 |
Nonsense.. these are the few misguided ijaw elements loyal to Wike.. 😂 When the chips are down, Roland Sekibo won't go near Okrika for the next 10 years... these ones na ants 😂 |
simpleseyi:Dunce... as usual you are too daft to see the power move Fubara has just made... 😂 It's obvious.... Fubara had allowed them stew in their anxiety a bit. At the meeting, the choices are clear..1. Support me, ditch wike and ill settle you handsomely OR 2. You impeach me according to the orders of wike and Rivers people will behead each of you one by one 😂.... Mafia style politics... in one last effort to avoid the oncoming war. But guess what will happen? Wike as usual in his greed will push these assembly members to the point of no return. I don't know who is advising fubara behind but whoever the person is , is a mafian ! Kai 🤦🏾♂️ |
Christistruth02:Not WHO WHERE but WHO IS? 😂 😂 Who is the godfather that brought them back? |
![]() |
Wolexyoshi:😂 😂... 48 hours ultimatum has expired o!! Why have you not impeached him? 😂 Leave this matter... heaven WILL FALL and HELL will rise. Doubt me? Impeach him let's see. Why do you think they are still dishing ultimatums? Wike has played his last card... IT IS NOW THE TURN OF RIVERS PEOPLE... not fubara! This thing has gone beyond fubara now. The assembly members are afraid. They are trying to read the polity by extending ultimatums. To make matters worse, the ijaw lawmakers amongst them are being flipped one by one. There is confusion in their camp... fuelled by obvious ethnic coloration. Martins Amaewhule is hoping to be the next governor hence his urgency to push the governor into taking rash decisions but his ijaw colleagues are beginning to see the true motive and they don't like it. Forget the pictures you saw of the ijaw faction and Martins on social media 😂 A lot is going on underneath but one thing is clear... DEM NO BORN ANY MAGA TO IMPEACH FUBARA.... TAKE IT FROM ME AND TO THE BANK! WONT HAPPEN! |
jflower06:At all... shebi na 24 hours? 😂 |
You talk of ideological militancy... yes, I agree with you. That is what it was. But if you can't see that Fubara has supporters based on ideology and conviction then you are naive. A good part of the country is following the Rivers case... go on Facebook and twitter and gather opinions.. Most people are not IN SUPPORT OF THE SUPREME COURT JUDGEMENT except a few misguided Rivers wike supporters and YORUBA PEOPLE. The rest of the country is on Fubaras side. That should worry any deep thinker because the violence that will ensue will be based on conviction. Many people simply believe Fubara is not being treated fairly and he has garnered support from far and wide. Any critical observer will see that the clouds are gathering. Anybody who thinks otherwise is a child. As I type this, arms and ammunition are being stockpiled from information on ground. |
Xisnin:Ogbeni, who will impeach Fubara? How? Do you know the process of an impeachment? 😂 That's what we are telling you that THEY CANT DARE IMPEACH HIM... its not mouth. Its impossible!!! I ask again... how old are you I don't believe you witnessed the days of militancy... if you did, you won't talk like this. |
ZombieDredd:You dey mind the clown?? That's why I asked if he wasn't laughing as he was typing the drivel. 😂 |
The 27 lawmakers are itching to go on recess... why? Even Wike knows its about to get real. The supreme court was his last major card. 😂 He's trying to influence the outcome of the defection case at the Federal High Court but we are watching 😂 He won't see 1 kobo of Rivers funds anymore.. the only way would be over the dead bodies of Rivers men, women and children. If that is a price not too steep for him to pay, then let him bring it on... |
Fuckyoumod:Relax before you bust an artery 😂... but, seriously.... how old are you? 😂 |
Go and ask what u folded at the last INC elections... the violence that ensued and the powerplay behind it. Has the life of the average niger deltan improved since the yaradua amnesty? |
Xisnin:How many warlords do you know? How many do you think are wealthy? Do you know how many militants who want to usurp tompolo.... praying for unrest for them to strike their own deals?? How many militants did the pipeline contracts favour? Or benefit? You fail to see the deeper troubling picture... which is why I am tempted to ask ... how old are you? 😂 |
jamesversion:Even as you were typing this balderdash out were you not laughing? 😂 😂.. didn't it sound funny in your head? 😂 Drones where Your army can't prosecute standard warfare on land na ontop water una go fit?? Tell you president to apply wisdom. Simple |
Honor10:Close mouth abeg. Only Obasa una no fit control. Cowardice na im dey una blood. Tell tinubu to do the right thing. It's not late. Yaradua wasn't a fool. He knew what he saw. When it starts, your state EKITI go struggle pay salaries. This is not gra gra... let Tinubu apply wisdom. |
Mikelarteta:Before nko? Fubara resemble south westerner for your eye? 😂 |
Cherrybae:😂 😂... you sef know say na dream you dey dream |
Even Wike knows its about to get ugly... the 27 lawmaker clowns are inching to go on recess... everybody can smell the illwind. This is the calm before the storm. |
Fuckyoumod:😂.. if I check your age, I wont be surprised to see you are not older than 30 years. |
designking:Who will kill them? You military that can't liberate northerners paying taxes to bandits?? Don't be a kid please. Tell your president to be wise. It's simple. |
😂.. e don dey set... Who know Tinubu, make e warn am o!!! If more courageous men like OBJ and Buhari found it difficult to tame the niger delta will it be a coward like tinubu? If wike and 2027 are really worth it, then so be it. Dear Mr President, its not late to do the right thing on Rivers issue. Trust me sir, when it starts, you won't be able to control it. Its a simple thing... call your appointee Wike to order. He has finished as governor. Let him rest. If you and he insist on fingerings Rivers resources for 2027, then prepare to spend your remaining tenure trying to extinguish the inferno that will result. Dear Mr President, how much is your current crude oil daily production? Oil prices are currently dancing on the Trump sentiment.. do you want to add grossly insufficient oil production to it Are you so in love with wike to damn the consequences??My president, when it starts, please do not blackmail us with human right sentiments. Be wise Mr president ... be wise!!! |

The Ijaw National Congress has warned against any attempt to impeach the Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, saying it cannot guarantee the peace of the Niger Delta region. While condemning last Friday’s Supreme Court judgment affirming the 27 lawmakers loyal to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, as the authentic members of the State House of Assembly, the body said it was capable of plunging the entire region into crisis. The INC President, Prof. Benjamin Okaba, stated this in a statement issued on Monday evening and made available to newsmen. Prof. Okaba further criticized the apex court ruling on the Rivers political crisis, pointing out that it failed to acknowledge the historical and political sacrifices made by the Ijaw people in governing Rivers State. He warned that any attempt to undermine the office of Governor Fubara would have dire consequences for national peace and economic stability, especially in the crude oil and gas-rich region. The INC boss emphasized that the Ijaw people have played a crucial role in shaping the state’s leadership for decades, saying, “In 1999, an Ijaw leader, Chief Marshall Harry, was instrumental in securing the Peoples Democratic Party ticket for Dr. Peter Odili, despite a formidable challenge from Sergeant Awuse. “Harry further ensured Odili’s victory against a Kalabari opponent, Chief Ebenezer Isokariari of the All Peoples Party.” Okaba continued, “In 2003, the INC recalled that when Marshall Harry backed Sergeant Awuse’s governorship ambition, it was not Awuse but Harry himself who was assassinated, marking a painful loss for the Ijaw people. “By 2007, Ijaw leaders such as Soboma George and Farrah Dagogo played a decisive role in securing victory for Sir Celestine Omehia, while Prince Igodo, a Kalabari-Ijaw warlord, was killed during Omehia’s swearing-in to prevent security breaches.” He further recalled that “In 2011, when Rotimi Amaechi sought to nominate Pastor Tonye Cole as a Minister, Dame Patience Jonathan, wife of the then President, Dr Goodluck Jonathan, ensured that Nyesom Wike took the slot instead.” Prof. Okaba frowned that despite these sacrifices by the Ijaw people, a political elite from the Ikwerre ethnic group now seeks to frustrate the first riverine Governor in decades, declaring that the Ijaw nation will defend Governor Fubara “With every pint of blood in their veins.” Emphasising that the Ijaw people would not stand by and allow their long-awaited tenure to be truncated, Prof. Okaba also cautioned that while the INC has worked tirelessly to preserve peace in the Niger Delta, leading to increased oil production and revenue for the nation, he expressed regrets that the same resources are now being used to marginalize the Ijaw people. He pointed out that this trend extends beyond Rivers State to Ondo, Edo, Delta, and Akwa Ibom, where Ijaws continue to face political exclusion. He therefore called on President Bola Tinubu to rise to the occasion, adding that the ongoing political crisis in Rivers State must not be treated as ordinary politics, stressing that the Ijaw people, numbering over 40 million worldwide, would not tolerate any attempt to undermine their place in Nigerian politics. The INC President further stated that while it enjoins Governor Fubara to as a law-abiding citizen work with all duly constituted arms of government in the State. He, however, warned that “If Governor Fubara’s tenure is truncated by the Martin Amaewhule-led Assembly or anybody else, the INC cannot guarantee the sustenance of the current peace in the Niger Delta, nor the continued rise in oil production—a veiled warning of potential disruptions in the region’s petroleum industry.” Dennis Naku Source: https://punchng.com/rivers-crisis-ijaw-group-warns-against-fubaras-impeachment-threatens-violence/

It used to be said that we have a long way to go in this country. That statement in itself conveys hope. That our solution is in sight even though the distance to get there is still very far. These days, no one really says that anymore. It has dawned on everyone that there is absolutely no hope. There is no tunnel, talk more of having light at the end of it. We are officially in a failed state though many would argue we have been for the past 5 years at least. It's so sad that we can count men with integrity and principles on the fingers of one hand and Doyin Okupe IS NOT one of such men. The dearth of such men further cements our state as FAILED! |
tundegan:These bots are really becoming irritating. MODS, take note o ![]() |
helinues:To me you like a mosquito. Both of you have the same nuisance value. Some folks on nairaland would disagree with me strongly, saying you have a far worse nuisance value ![]() No vex, anywhere I see a mosquito or anything closely resembling it, my impulse is to raise my hand and slap. |

I don't believe you witnessed the days of militancy... if you did, you won't talk like this.
