Nobody claim a Yoruba Billionaire built the southwest and we can all se what the governors are doing. You and your billionaire brother have been claiming to own and build everything in Lagos, so why can't you replicate the same in your regoin?

There's nothing specials about Lagos that can't be achieved by any state or in any region. Just make your state or region suitable for investment purpose if not, your so-called billionaires will continue investing in Lagos and remain permanent there even if we regionalise the country or divide. Lagos has what it takes to have leveled up with developed states in European countries but corruption get level sha.

It's a NON priority project! If Nigeria was swimming in resources, this is a good project to initiate and support.

That said, 15 trillion naira would be better spent on Agriculture, Security and upgrading the current highways to and fro ECONOMICALLY PRODUCTIVE CENTERS NOT UNPRODUCTIVE HINTERLANDS!

And to make matters even worse, the lack of transparency and clear conflict of interest of the company handling this project still stares us in the face.

When your house is burning is not the time to commence the building of an ultra massive fire station as a solution instead of the cheap 5 minute fix of the fire hydrant infront of your house!

My problem with you yorubas is that you don't travel. Remove lagos that was built by national revenue and tell me if the south west compares to the south east in development.

South east has far better urban centers beautiful and pleasing to the eyes... You'll struggle to match Enugu, Owerri,Awka, Onitsha and even umuahia in aesthetics and ambience!

I don't even want to mention Portharcourt in the old Eastern region that was NEVER FCT and is following lagos closely behind. Abeg talk another thing.

How will the states fare when almost all the Organizations are operating from or has their headquarters at Lagos thereby paying royalties/tax there?

Whenever we're ready, this country will develop but for now, it will continue to struggle .

But to be honest, for how long are we going to whine about this? Truth is, the sub national governments have not done enough to attract investments to their regions to shore up revenue.
Lagos did not stop Imo or Bayelsa from building a power plant to supply power to at least half their local govt areas making it attractive for industrial bases.

Make your states conducive and compete! Convince an investor why he should come to Abia and not lagos... is it better power supply? Better security? Better incentives? These are the issues... enough of the blame games.

Ondo state has cocoa... why is ondo not exporting cocoa at 10,000 dollars a tonne or convincing chocolate and beverage companies to setup shop in ondo to develop the value chain?? Do you know how much the chocolate sweet industry is worth? Just chocolate! We've not talked about chocolate drinks.

Why are Kogi and Nasarawa not convincing companies to setup shop in their states to develop their lithium reserves... they should be exporting lithium batteries for use in a myriad of things from EVs to solar batteries... such states should even be giving to the federal govt and not collecting.

Funny! It's good advice but they should remember Lagos had a head start as FCT. Infact the states pursuing lagos closely should be commended for the effort made without the advantages lagos enjoyed over the years!

Nothing spectacular happened in lagos come to think of it EXCEPT IMPROVED revenue collection not necessarily a significant increase in number and quality of businesses over the years.

If states like Anambra, Kano,Kaduna, Rivers increased the efficiency of revenue generation from EXISTING businesses, their respective IGR would more than double.

That was the so called " magic" Tinubu did in Lagos because his company was doing the revenue collecting... 😂

There was no real governance under Tinubu in Lagos! We can see it was all a fluke going by events of the past 14 months.
