Got a passport collection email yesterday. Went to vfs to get my passport this afternoon.

Visa stamped.

Biometrics - 25th November
Paid call - 17th December
Collection email - 19th December

Congratulations. I did a paid call earlier this week and I was told a decision has been made but I haven't gotten an update from VFS. My intended travel date is tomorrow and still no update.

I am with my passport already with visa issued, my case is overturned Decision and my passport has been there since 2nd December, I went to the British High commission yesterday and ask them to give my passport wether visa issued or not, they told me they will call me in the afternoon, by 1pm I received there call to come and get my passport, when I opened I saw the visa there issued. Cheers

I made a paid call and they said they've made a decision but can't tell me what it is. That I will get my passport 7-10working days from when decision was made.

Received empty NFS mail on the 30th Nov.

Till now no feedback on Visa..
Can't even sleep well these days

Today is the 11th working day and nothing has been heard from them. Not even an empty NSF.

Did my biometrics on 25.11 and still yet to get a decision mail. Travel date is supposed to be next week.

Says passport has been sent via courier that same day but no indication of the courier, tracking details or contact till now.

Any idea on what courier they use? or how to contact them?

I did my biometrics on November 25th in Lagos, and I'm eager to know if anyone who did their biometrics around the same time has received a decision email yet.

Has anyone applied through the online consular portal? Is the waiting time different compared to the appointment portal? How long did it take from registration to receiving the call?

6 months visa for my parents
They have both visited the UK a few times between 2011-2014. Their last visas was 2years but I decided to apply for 6months since it’s being a long time they travelled.

Received by DMC- 7/11/24
Collection mail- 21/11/24
Passport collected- 22/11/24

Bank statements- Dad got a letter from church as he had some large deposits for church construction
Mum’s bank statements also had large deposits but we didn’t bother to explain

My dad has his own company and they have always used the company document to apply for their UK visa. However, we chose retired for them as the company is no longer doing well with the present state of the economy. As such, we did not submit any retirement letter or pensions.

i applied for opportunity card..but i noticed something. Everytime they reject somebody they make reference to section 19f of residence act which contains ground to reject people based on differennt sections( "doubts visa is used for intended purpose". But opportunity card and family reunion were not mentioned. Does it mean if one meets all requirements for family reunion or opportunity card he cannot be denied visa for that common reason. Bear in mind job seeker visa was once among the various sections that were mentioned in section 19f, but job seeker has been annulled. I applied under opportunity card

I'm applying for a UK visa and need guidance on declaring my monthly expenses. Specifically:

How should I declare my monthly spending when my expenses fluctuate from month to month?
In my application, I plan to declare £1,800 for my trip expenses, which is lower than typical tourist spending because I have secured free accommodation through a friend's invitation letter.

I already have proven travel history with two previous Schengen visas

Is this a reasonable approach for my financial declaration?

My husband applied for the job seeker visa appointment since May last year. We are still waiting for the interview.
He' has 5 years of work experience as a production engineer.

I'll like to know if he needs to learn German, and to what level ?.

Please, any update on this? Has he gotten an appointment yet?
