PoliticsPolice Inspector Dismissed For Asking For His Special Duty Allowance by phemi36(op): 9:26pm On Aug 03, 2018
Proir to that, Ex-Inspector Ademola Adesida diligently discharged his duties in keeping the peace, protecting lives and properties of the people with integrity. For 17years he did same believing he was contributing his quota in making Nigeria a safer and better country.
During the November 2016 governorship elections in Ondo state, Inspector Adesida Ademola was among the 28,000 personnels deployed to ensure peace and provide security before, during and after the election. Unfortunately only a handful of them got prompt payment of the special duty allowance during that period, later on a few other received theirs, leaving the inspector and a few others unpaid. On arrival at his post after the elections he made inquiries and several pleas to superior authorities to get his entitlement fell on deaf ears until it reached the point where senior officers started walking him out of their offices, he pursued his entitlement for over 8months to no avail until he gave up.
Then came the Ekiti state election, he was among the 30,000 deployed to man the elections, he left his base once again with the same story that he will receive alert before they reach ekiti, they arrived no alert yet, the next day came no alert, third day no alert, not just him 30,000 police officers on special duty with no money to make personal ends meet, feeding and accommodation became very challenging, they slept outside police stations, on the floor and had to call friends and relatives at home to financially support them whilst working to sustain the democracy of our country. Being the second time such fate would befall him, and not ready to relinquish his sweat to the enrichment of any 'oga at the top', Inspector Adesida Ademola reached out to higher public officers who could make a difference, informing them via text that police men deployed for election duty had not been paid their entitlement and are being subjected to inhumane treatments. Two hours later, they all got alerts.
On the 15th of July 2018,the very next day, acting on orders from above, the Inspector was arrested and detained, arbitrarily tried in a kangaroo Orderly Room Proceedings while he was receiving drip on admission at the police clinic. He was dismissed from the Nigeria Police uncelebrated on fabricated grounds despite giving Nigeria his best for 17years,to further pursue their politically motivated callous vendatta, denying him of his statutory right of having 7days to appeal the decision of the orderly room trial, the inspector was forcefully discharge from the hospital and arraigned at the Magistrate court Ekiti on charges that he revealed secret information that came to his knowledge by virtue of his position.
Please help us the Inspector General when issues bothering on salaries of public servants provided for by the tax payers became secret information.
How does telling a friend that you have not been paid constitute a crime

NB:I am attaching a copy of his charge sheet at the magistrate court, please i want Nigerians to know where the rot in our security system emanates from
