I don't screw my ODU so and it's not too high so easily accessible Ex0rrcist: Make sense, the issue will be having to screw and unscrew the odu to insert the sim. |

e dey chop battery ehn, best is to use mifi where there is no light and use ODU where there is power michlins: my own came with data plan meant to last just seven days. I called the people who registered it and they said they are working on it. It's two days now and nothing.
About the power issue, I use my romoss 40kamh battery to power it and it drains the battery within four hours. I will just have to go buy another one like this instead of subscription with another 25k |

I used the Airtel ODU battery on my old Hertz 6 router and I got close to 8hrs battery life it's really incredibly. Note the old oval router I have removed the battery inside so I'm using purely the external battery pack alone. 5000mah. |

You can't delist from using code, you can only remove by calling the customer care or going to Airtel office for more assistance Unfaized: If you have an Airtel sim, there's a code to dial to list the numbers linked to your NIN. From there you can unlink any numbers you wish to.

Just take your friend or colleague or even close relation they should be able to help you with it MorataFC: Thank you for your response. However, my registration went smoothly until the final stage, where my NIN was rejected. The system claimed I’ve already used up the four Airtel slots linked to my NIN, and that I would need to provide another person’s NIN to proceed. I’m not sure what else to do at this point. |

I was at airtel office to buy the ODU but the problem they have is that , there is no installer on ground . Can I install it by my self? |
Phones › Re: Airtel Unlimited Data Thread! Best Data Plan In 2024!! by pheranme9(op): 12:46pm On Oct 17, 2025 |
Yes it's nothing technical but because they don't want people to hoard it that's why there are strict rules around it Tover: You can install it yourself .....I haven't seen it b4 but I think common man will be able to install it .. is just to nailed it on the wall and connect the cables ... As far as there is no frequency you have to activate before using it |

I'm currently using mine to respond. Everyone should kindly note that attimes there is a network glitch from Airtel that will take your unlimited away when u check your data balance it will say you do not have any active subscription. *323*2*Airtel number# to check your data balance it can be done on any Airtel not necessarily the one with unlimited. I hope this helps Hullabaloon: Spot on.. there's nothing I haven't done to mine thinking it's peculiar to me. |

980gb is more than enough for most people especially at that price point dustmalik: Guys, I have bad news for heavy data users. After using 1TB of data, my speed has been capped at 2Mbps. I have restarted severally to see if it would change, but it's hard-capped.
The device was installed on the 30th September, the last day of September. If you look at the screenshot below, you will see that I have used 980GB this month. It's not including the data I used on the 30th September, which would have indicated the entire 1TB.
I had hoped that this would not happen. It's clear to me that this is not for me. I typically use up to 2TB per month on my Starlink. I'm 100% sticking to Starlink, nothing comes close to it in this country. If 1TB is a lot for you, then this is good for you. The speed was consistent throughout the period I used it until I hit the 1TB. |

You don't have to put the sim Inside a phone to check the data balance all you need is the phone number Obviouslyblunt: you shouldn’t have put the line into a phone. But maybe you might be lucky |

A powerful bank with atleast 22.5 W output minimum and get the type c to 12voult cord on jumia. Although the ODU consumes a lot of power though so a 30,000 Mah is what I will recommend for peace for mind wills2437: Please which powerbank can I use to power the odu router perfectly without fluctuating, the white powerbank that comes with it isn’t strong enough |

yeah thats the only downside i see to it so far sha Hopez456: As fuckboys said, it powers two devices but I have been observing mine for two days now, when powered with batteries, my network goes on and off but powering directly from AC/electricity the network stays. Deductively, the battery may not be powering it enough.
Guys having network issues should observe this as well. |

One thing I don't like about the ODU router is that it consumes a lot of battery. The power bank last around 3hrs and if you're using additional type c to 12voult cord so that you can use your phone power bank it still draws a lot of power too |
Phones › Re: Airtel Unlimited Data Thread! Best Data Plan In 2024!! by pheranme9(op): 5:28pm On Oct 11, 2025 |
It won't work with the smart box Hullabaloon: I finally got my ODU today. It's a brand new version different from the ones all of you are using. So new even the installers had initial difficulty in setting it up. But it's all up and running now.
It has an Ethernet port and cable so I plugged in my smartbox hoping it will work by but it's not. It recognises that ethernet was plugged in but it doesn't show any network.
When I go to network settings inside the smartbox, I see this. Dunno what to input there that might make this work. Or even what to tweak in the router settings
