According to report getting to us from people using high volume of data it has been Stated that once you reach the 1Tb mark it gets throttled. Max I've used before is around 300gb and I doubt I will be getting to those numbers soon

You'll unscrew the button part you'll see the sim though. Check the manual too on how to unscrew e dey there

Alternative you can try Facebook market some sell new one around 27-30k it's still fair considering but na you go find installer yourself sha. Because if you keep waiting you might end up not getting any or end up getting esim variant

The emboldened is the reason why you are getting poor speed. In my own case, there's no Airtel base station anywhere near my estate. In my house, I bearly get 1 bar of 4G. When I first tested the device in my compound, I was getting 10Mbps, I even thought they erroneously subscribed a 10Mbps plan on the device because it wouldn't go past 10Mbps. But the moment the installer installed the ODU by the roof's face board, facing a base station that is kilometers away, I started getting constant 50-60Mbps. Fortunately, the base station has 5G, so I am getting 2 to 4 bars of fluctuating 5G reception.

Got it from my cousin (my sure plug 4 Airtel office) from Lagos. Paid 27k to him and he sent it down to ilorin and I paid for logistics. He sent some other package together with it that was why I got it in Lagos since ilorin own is always out of stock and it might be esim can't take chances

First review and personal observation so far.

The ODU router pulls better network than the regular router and it's 5G enabled.

I don't have 5G in my area so I'm not getting the full speed.

The battery last around 2-3hrs as it powers 2 devices simultaneously the indoor and outdoor unit.

It presently cost 25k from Airtel office but it's really scarce. (They're currently on promo).

If you're getting the ODU you need to subscribe directly from the mobile app for atleast Months after purchase.

When you want to purchase be careful not to get the esim alone variant. Get the physical sim so that you can remove the sim and put in another router or your tweaked mifi that works with Airtel unlimited.

I didn't do any proper installation I placed it somewhere in my room the last speed test I did got around 18mbps.

the only thing that’s making me stick with airtel is this unlimited data plan, i just hope mtn can wake up one day and give them a competition on that side mehn.

I took the router to the office and it worked perfectly. I guess the issue is not the router but the network in my area. Thanks for the suggestion

there is glo unlimited though but its only for ESIM enabled phones only

Your router isn’t the problem, it is Airtel’s network in your area. I have been using Airtel since last year and it used to be very stable, but starting last week their terrible network issues hit my street. Since then, I have not been able to use it like before. The highest speed I get now is around 100 Kbps, which is basically unusable, and even that only lasts for about two minutes before it drops completely for 10 minutes or more.

I have sent several complaints to them on Twitter and have seen similar comments from other people in my area. They only promised to send an engineer to check the area, but nothing has been done so far.

At this point, the only solution is to stop subscribing to their network until they fully restore their service. Many people are saying that both Airtel and MTN shut down several masts nationwide to cut costs, which is why their service has suddenly gotten worse.

Does anyone know how I can get Glo Unlimited? I need to switch as soon as possible.

I want to recommend a test, carry your router and leave your current location and go to a far place from home and rest it and see what happens, also place your router by the window side and reboot and retry it maybe it will work better.

Really confused on what to do. My Airtel 5G router basically does not work anymore. I have my subscription but it does not browse 90% of the time. I end up having to spend extra money to subscribe on my MTN and Glo to be able to browse. It worked perfectly for a couple of months when I bought it last year. The whole problem started in february but it is now even worse. Since last week, I have not been able to browse with it for more than 10 minutes. I have factory reseted, I have rebooted, I have called customer care severally but nothing seems to change. It will work briefly and then stop working. Who can help?
