This is a really great topic, but I would like to suggest you starting by following some useful design tutorial like: photoshop wireframe guided tip, creating a prototype, etc. As for the question when to register a domain, I think it's better to register after finishing the design. Empty site for a short time is not good for future SEO. tuscani: |
"Who really is a designer or developer? Can you be both?"- Yes, you will find a full stack developer capable of the both. Regarding to designer tool, I dislike those which require users to be adept with. Instead, I do like easier prototype application. For developers, one of my developer friends recommends Visual Studio as developing IDE. Actually, there is no exact standard in choosing those tools, so you can select it according to your preference. |
I guess you haven't read Simple Logo Design Principle before, so I suggest you reading it. ![]() From my view: For the first one, I think the words below are a bit big. You've alread kb in book graphic, why mentioned it again in upper case? The second one is better than the third one, since unified color scheme is better for visual accepts. Still their sizes of shape and text are odd to me. Why not design them in B&W and judge them first? It's necessary to obey the rule of logo design principles.

For beginners, you may not notice that Photoshop doesn't automatically center text like other software does. It leaves to users to manually center text themselves. To change text horizontal position in the textbox, press [Advanced...] in Properties panel. In next panel, use "Set the baseline shift" blanket to modify its vertical position. After that, Photoshop center text is finished. https://file.mockplus.com/image/2017/05/c0b0f42e-3dba-4937-b916-43eff08acfb6.jpg |
Really true indeed. There quite a lot tools supports web designs, including PS wireframe, affinity, and also we see many web app ui design tools for conveniently designing app interfaces. Unless we require high-end design, it's possible to create them ourselves. |
doncigalo:Agree that wireframe design No.1. Or maybe we can start building Photoshop wireframe first. I know there are other easier prototyper tool used by pro designers. |
