PassingShot:Maybe we ask GEJ to set up a committee to investigate that name. Committee president supporters are the same ones accusing PMB of being slow in only few days. |
Told you these news reporters are just out to put more tension in the already heated polity. What stops this headline from being NSC moves to stop Oliseh unveiling? |
matinodgr8:God, help your people. |
So PDP knows Buhari is a man of integrity yet they threw all mud at him in that manner? Is PDP one of the plagues God released on Egypt in the Bible days? What did we do? |
PassingShot:He was waiting for the TECHNOLOGY machine he ordered from China to fight corruption. But you guys were impatient and booted him out to Otuoke. GEJ, the Lawrence Nomayagbon Anini of our time. Funny as I was trying to type Anini and my android suggested Anonimi and I almost clicked on it ![]() |
barcanista:Barca, it wouldn't cost a chinchin for you to accept the level of CORRUPTION in GEJ's government was unprecedented. It was obvious to the blind, deaf and dumb. He gave it away the moment he granted presidential pardon to Lord Alams. From that moment, even if it was his prerogative the bad guys immediately knew he's the man and they took full advantage. Nigerian politicians are bad. Your body language is all they need to do all they want. All those stealing is not corruption statements were grossly unnecessary. It only gives them more tonic to continue in their heist. Little wonder they were ready to die to see him back in power. You know it was never for the interest of the people. For once drop this your new partisanship and grab the TRUTH. On this, we are still watching the new government if the profligacy of government officials who are yet to be appointed will continue. We have no other country, if we allow these core politicians to destroy the little that's remaining our children will not forgive us. |
neocortex:What is your position in the musical group, The Wailing Wailers? You play the drum or the tambourine? |
neocortex:As a fool you mean you know nothing about how a system works? Do you think the various institutions wake up the president everyday with a to-do list seeking for approval before actioning? People have been saddled with responsibilities because they are believed to be capable and a good leader allows everyone perform their duties. Changes can be made if some of their actions are found not to be good. They are all human beings and as Nigerians are subject to errors. And lastly only despots and sycophancy loving leaders want orders taken from them before every designee perform any governmental role. We are no longer in GEJ's government! |
porka:PDP had no choice man. Hope you know what's referred to as exigencies of our time. They provided institutional frameworks yet they tried every shenanigans in this world to compromise same system if not for the resilience of Nigerians and insistence of the international community that was breathing on their shoulders. Tell me another joke man. If PDP was afforded the opportunity they would have rigged and declared themselves winners like they have always done. Give it to Jega! They wanted to show to the world they are reforming the process and at the same time cunningly compromise it! We know them, repentance was not included in their genes. |
specco:If they run the election again and APC presents a dog, it will still win the PDP. Do you know what is called mass destruction? That's what PDP did to this country. PDP is Conan the destroyer. |
INTROVERT:Only the poor ones on Nairaland, Facebook and Twitter are on this lonely road. The rich ones are rolling together in big cities around the world. |
anonimi:Yes, I escape Anonimi. exactly what were we arguing about? No qualms pulling out of a meaningless debate. |
anonimi:A society works with shared responsibilities. I am doing my bit. With this rate I can see you wil ostracize any family member of yours who doesn't share your political ideology. I guess this seemingly altercation is borne out of the fact that we share different political ideology. We are arguing about nothing! Let me enjoy my own version of freedom of speech please. |
kaycid77:Wrong. If this news article is true, then I have every cause to be happy. My support to Buhari's administration has no personalities but purely a patriotic call to duty. I have an army in my house to nurture to a sound maturity so I can't wish my government to fail. I am not stupid and owes no politician any obligation. |
anonimi:You gradually pulled this into an argument instead of a discourse. Observation is a prelude to action. |
anonimi:Don't think my observation has stopped anyone directly affected from seeking redress, has it? We are only stating the obvious about the practice of journalism in Nigeria. |
kaycid77:If not you will kill him? Never knew you guys have exiled him. I guess he must have packed all his belongings and family and ran away from PHC. |

Change your moniker to EXTROVERT. |
anonimi:Have only heard of a few out of court settlements and many frustrated by legal bureaucracies. The media know the judiciary here is frustrating so they capitalize on it. The judiciary and the media are a key to any national survival. Here, they are a padlock. |
omenka:Check my earlier posts on Nigerian media. Sometimes I just wish this is a military regime and they are all proscribed. Market women are better than these guys. Damn! |
bulletproofmonk:Do they stamp visas on party membership cards? |
RaphaeloBurgess:Small small Meanwhile, somewhere Wike will be saying "so all my attempts to finish this Amaechi no dey work?" Not a very good news for Amaechi haters though. The other day a picture with the president which many said could be before the swearing in and now a trip to the US with him. Wike, with all his shenanigans with the ex-president never even got this close even as a serving minister. When your enemies wish you bad openly, they only make your visibility to greater things brighter. |
anonimi:These don't work in Nigeria. If they work, only Ikebe Super, Super Story, Dauda the sexy guy would have survived. |
anonimi:They are backed by freedom of the press as enshrined in the Nigerian constitution and it seems there is no law against misinformation. The Nigerian media fans the embers of disunity in every aspect of our lives. I can tell you that the various issues that happened in Rivers state, apart from the fact that people are not happy Amaechi worked against GEJ, were escalated by the media. Especially that station called Nigerian Info with that call in program. That is just a tiny tip of the iceberg what the Nigerian media is doing to us as a country. Professionalism has long been thrown to the dogs and all of a sudden you find mainstream media competing for space with the likes of Linda Ikeji and Stella Dimokokorkus and thereby spewing all forms of junks that can set fire in the country. I hate the media here more than BH. Nigeria is one of the very few countries where casualty figures differ in all news outlets. 10 media houses 10 different casualty figures. Tufia, even truckpushers can do better! |
Gboliwe:Journalists in Nigeria deserves death by hanging. To me they are as relevant to us as BH. I can confidently say the Nigerian media contributes more than 80% of all our political, ethnic and religious issues. They are just spoilers provided for by the law. |
tonychristopher:Barcanista, Anonimi, Mogidi and Truckpusher, come and see one of your recruits o. |
Bluetooth2:The Nigerian media will lead Nigerians to their mass graves one day. We are obviously at their mercy at the moment especially in a heavily balkanized country as ours. Problem is we must continue to depend on them for information except we all move to Aso Rock and various government houses plus politicians bedrooms. |
barcanista:Read these words again and again. Even if Buhari falls into coma for the next 4 years PDP will never be an option for me. I am a professional and not a politician. I have followed happenings since 1999 to know a party that failed woefully and made corruption one of its cardinal objective cannot and will never have any good to offer. PDP is the progenitor, founder and developer of CORRUPTION. I know what am saying, I have been close enough in the course of my profession.Look elsewhere for anonymous unstable guys. |
MuguliciousMUGU:O boy that girl just joined Nairaland o. Not a very good way to welcome someone. Hope this doesn't take her out. Even with her signature of "I'm bleeping new here guys" you no still gree sorry for her. |
amaben2020:Check well, that's your FATHER! Condoms must have been too expensive for your indigent parents to save the nation your misery. |
Mogidi:Go take agbo, you have very high fever. |
Why are TANkids this stupid? Why didn't you ask the reason Jonathan and mama Peace are walking free? Is Peter Odili, the biggest armed robber in Rivers state not a free man 8 years after leaving government house? Foolish kid, help yourself with this manual or choose the other one if you are tired of seeing Amaechi a free man. As a militant I know you must have a gun. |

Journalism in Nigeria is something else, honestly.
