WordPress is always the best bet with ecommerce. There is lots of plugins and customization to fit any business.

I understand your concerns but I can convienced you on why WordPress is the best bet for your business.

If you want a technology that can scale, lots.of supports etc do the above.

If you need more reasons or conviction, let me know. Off course regardless of descions taken for a business, it can always be revised for a more better one.

Cheers

Thanks for your contribution. We have another business page that is presently running on wordpress but it's not as smooth as the ones built with Shopify. Our main concerns are stability and mobile responsiveness. True, there is alot to tweak with the many plugins that WP has to offer but the issue is, most of these plugins tend to clash over upgrades and a lot of them are not mobile responsive.

Not wanting to discuss budget it usually a bad sign, nevertheless, how can one contact you?
I am all in for transparency. If you want, we can handle the conversations on here. I have been on Nairaland for a very long time so I do understand your concerns.
1. Do you think you meet my requirements?
2. Kindly post a link to atleast one of your previous ecommerce projects.

Okay, after all these demands what is your budget?
We cannot discuss budget at this particular point but be rest assured that we are ready. What matters most is, what do you have to offer? Links to previous jobs? After that, then we can access your offer and put a figure down.
Web Market / Need An Ecommerce Website by Philipschasis(m): 9:41pm On Dec 18, 2022
Hi Guys, we are in need of web developers who can build a professional shopify website for our brand.

Yes, you might be asking.. Why not do it yourself since it is shopify? We have some other businesses running on WP but we are looking for stability hence the reason why we chose Shopify. Also, we are not looking for any random ecommerce website, we can do that ourselves. If you intend to copy/paste someone else's job, please don't waste your time with us as we dislike plagiarism and will find out. We want someone who can handle customisations, excellent graphics and also integrate international payment systems on the ecommerce site.

Also, it is important to note that we are heavy critics and take even the slightest mistake serious.

The northern elders like it like that. They prefer driving in posh cars and these kids troop to their house for alms than fund this kids

It's disheartening
Politics / Travails Of The Almajiri by Philipschasis(m): 11:04am On Nov 03, 2015
Taking a walk down the streets of Kawon-Kudu area of Kano state, one begins to wonder on the cause of the critical state of children who have been subjected to abject poverty, it's way beyond pitiful, you see kids from the age of 6-18 roaming the streets with tattered clothes, holding plates begging for alms.

The value of western education is highly underestimated in the North, down south there's a high rate of competitiveness as every family sees to the education of at least one of its members, no matter the level of poverty. It's the reversed case up North, most of the people are non challant and care-less.

These kids who roam the streets are known as the Almajiris. They are sent to Koranic schools by their parents in the guise of acquiring Islamic knowledge, placed under the guidance and tutorship of Mallams who force them to recite the Koran daily until they graduate. This graduation might span more than 14 years. It is way different from other Islamic-related schooling as seen in other parts of the country, it's somewhat like a boarding school where the assumed students have to fend for themselves.

It would be of importance if we can list prominent Nigerians who have benefitted from this system of education. Don't be mistaken, most of these Almajiris are not necessarily from poor families, most have parents who are well to do, but are brain-washed against western values.

The state of this system is hugely-demeaning to whatever cause, this type of school stands for. Without mincing words 98% of these children are malnourished, with traces of sores spread round their body. Their folks believe it's a way of life, waving it off with talks like "you suffer to become great".

The Northern elites send their kids beyond the shores of this country to seek for western education and yet, they are fully in support of the Almajiri system, a system that the Federal Government has been funding for years without any fruitful outcome. A system with half-baked and archaic tutors who are no match for their Arab counterparts.

I have not lived to witness anyone who successfully gained employment with his/her Koranic certificate, even the most revered imams attain at least the minimum level of western education. Talking about development, most white-collar jobs up north are filled up with Southerners solely because, most Northern job-seekers are Koranic graduates.

These elites convincingly channel blames to the
Government for it's inability to provide jobs for the masses, knowing fully well that most investors have educational requirements for their workers, which many fall short of. The North is yet to grow into that stage of holding its direct-leaders accountable for their flaws.

It's easy for Boko Haram to manipulate these kids with their evil intents. People are lured from childhood to a particular system of education which at the end does not ensure employment. They are made to believe it's the Government, therefore feeling doomed they seek solace with whatever idea that's being fed to them. There is need to create awareness and for the continuance of the Almajiri system, these kids should be properly taken care of in a habitable environment and not left to prowl the streets begging for alms, it should be done alongside western education.

Music/Radio / Re: Vector Vs Ice-Prince: Who's More Talented? by Philipschasis(m): 5:31pm On Mar 06, 2013
How shallow can some people get ? Vector is whack considering the puerile punchlines and wordplays he drops.. You call a rapper who drop lines like " I'll get your lawn done (london) like England " dope?? Notwithstanding, He has good ideas and concepts but sheepishly cannot disseminate into a proper form worthy of the tag 'Dope'.. I can count couple of stupid supposed wordplays from the acclaimed Naija's Lryicist On The Roll. It's one thing to have an idea and another making sense outta it. Ice-prince on the other hand is totally whack content wise, though his preferable flow keeps him above water level.. The point i'm trying to make here is that both aint ripe yet for proper hiphop analysis. We compare the Nas's and the Jiggaz.. Not the Wocka Flokaz and the Soulja-boyzz. Based on personal preference, i might take sides with vector, but still, that doesn't make him better. The Argument i'll love to comment on is , Proverb Or Modenine.. Who's more talented ? smiley ... So we can dig deep into the roots of hiphop-ing

Richiez, I really must commend your effort, you are good..

I've got this questions on Metric Spaces and I will really appreciate if you give a thorough breakdown.

1. If d1 and d2 are metrics of X, is it true that d1 + d2, d1 - d2, d1 * d2 are metrics of X ? I just need to grasp the basic concept.

2. We say that two metrics d and d' are equivalent on X if a convergent sequence in (X,d) is a convergent in (X, d') and vice versa.. Given a metric d of X, prove that there exist a metric d' equivalent to d and bounded by 1.

3. Suppose dn is a sequence of metric of X. Show that there exists a metric bounded by 1, such that the convergence sequence in (X,d) is convergent in each (X,dn)

This is under topology, I will appreciate if you can attempt or give a clue to these questions.
Islam for Muslims / Re: Are Islamic Religious Leaders Failing Islam? by Philipschasis(m): 4:42pm On Dec 15, 2012
Sopme peeps here are actually brain-dead, why on earth should you insult one's religion ? A high percentage of these critics were born into a particular faith and brain-washed with the thoughts that our pastor/imam instilled in us.. I give props and respect to those who got to a certain age and switched between religion much as I don't blame Atheists for choosing their path. You have to be a man of decision. Before letting out your views, have you ever thought of the stance of your opinion if you were bred from a muslim/christian faith , ? The Imams have failed yes, a sheep without a shepherd would definitely go astray.

This is true, but Hotoro and it's environs have been known to be hideouts for most Boko haram members, some have been brought down, especially in Tsamiyar Boka, where a suspected Boko Haram Member engaged in a gun battle with mobile policemen and was eventually killed with his wife.., Nonso is young, innocent and wouldn't harm a fly, ...
ndu_chucks: May all the victims' souls RIP.

It is unfortunate that people are assuming that the killers are BH terrorists. This kind of assumption may enable the real killers to escape prosecution if the assumption is wrong. We should allow police to complete their investigations before jumping into unhelpful conclusions. This appears to be the work of hired assassins and does not follow the pattern of BH activities.

Is life worth the stress and effort we put in ? Sometimes don't you really ask God why he allows things to happen to the defend-less ? Didn't God promise to safe guard the innocent ? Has God forgotten his own ?? The sadness and misery of this unbelievable news gripped me deep down the bone marrow. I was filled with much bitterness and anger after confirming the verisimilitude of this disheartening story. (Nonso as he is fondly called) is presently A 300 level student Of the University Of Jos. He was shot together with his Kid Brother Chisom ( A 100 Level Student Of The Same School). Evaristus Nonso Ejikeme who returned home last week for the hols, was killed today at Tsamiyar Boka, Hotoro Kano at about 7 pm 21/11/2012 . He was sitting outside his compound when some Armed Boko Haram suspected killers opened fire and shot the two brothers to death.. He is the eldest of 3 other boys , Nonso (the choir master )has blessed both worshipers and visitors of St. Patrick's Catholic Church Hotoro, Kano with his Angelic and God-given voice... He was was so much liked, recommended, brilliant and full of ideas. The Catholic community of Hotoro Kano, mourn this great loss and express their displeasure. Truly a promising and God-fearing youth..

Quote From The Reverend Father Of The Parish.
