Ok! But they are not even in Port harcourt. I tried calling their customer care line but didn’t succeed so I emailed them. I have attached their response to this reply. Apparently you’re only suppose to get to the bank physically when you’ve been sent your account details. And they are acting as if they determine the amount to give, I thought it was approved by NYIF

I went to Baobab today. I was told you have to come there physically. They said people have been coming from Yobe and other places. You also have to come with the text sent to you.
I met this circular pasted outside the bank. That's all i could find out.

Thank you Pastor Fire! These baobab guys are being unreasonable, I mean they have no branch is the whole of south south and south east and they expect people to show up physically, what kind of wickedness is that, I’m suspecting all these Mfbs, they are looking for a way to keep the money for a while and run business with it

Guy just because you've been able to visit a branch to open am account. Doesn't mean that's the only thing to do. They said visit a branch or fill the form. And that's basically because they know they don't have much branches. And the account number space is meant to be left blank. If you have with them before you can just put it. But if not leave it blank. Shuu I just de look you since, stop making people worry

Thank you very much. I’ve said it, the message is clear; either visit the bank or fill the form online and someone is saying if you don’t go to the bank to open account then it won’t work. This people don’t have any branch in the east, so what would the people from the east do. I had to call the customer care and they said those that filled the form, that they are already opening their accounts, you’re going to be giving them double work sef cos if you’ve opened in a bank branch and then those handling online forms will try opening for you again and will realize you already have an account

The physical account creation is the main thing, I already filled the online form before approaching the bank but was required to still create an account with them. So no issues

That’s what the google form was meant for, to get information for opening of account. You don’t have to be physically present at the bank. Besides the bank is not available in all states like LAPO so they can’t say you have to be physically present to open account

That’s what I used. After telling me I’ll be charged 6 naira and I continued, they say I’m about to open an individual account that I should input my BVN
