Abeg, i have been having severe pain on my left lower back and it affects my left leg such that i limp when i walk. Is any mama going through this and has anyone experienced it before? What can i do to ease the pain cause i told my Dr about it at my last appointment and she said its baby's weight thats casuing it and i should swallow paracetamol for the pain. I have been taking paracetamol but it doesnt stop the pain at all. I never had this kind of experience when i had my first baby. Na only me waka come for this matter? #TeamJuly

cappo phlakkeys, i like this your style of "keeping up with July mamas". I am likely team XX but i was advised to do a repeat scan. As per the bump, i am worried because the size is reducing but the sonographer said my baby is healthy and even measuring ahead.

So far the sonographer said baby is ok, and we also want baby to be ok, then baby is ok. Try and mention this at your next ANC for Dr.' confirmation. Our LOs are safe IJN.

Good day wonderful mamas in d house, pls I'm a July teamie. I want to solicit for your help nd I pray that God in His mercies will reward you abundantly. Iv been so ashamed coming out to explain myself,but since there isnt any hope of funds,so I decided to come out.

Firstly, I work in a private sch where d salary is so meagre, nd DH lost his job late last year. He has been trying to get anoda,but nothing has been working. To make everything better, i collected a loan from my place of work, but sth happened along d line,d money was used for another issue which called for repayment to be difficult. Since January, iv been using my little salary to pay back. After d deduction for a month, what I av left is tfare nd small amount 4 foodstuffs. Honestly, my DH even contemplated abortion in d early stage,but I told him God will do wonders. The only scan I did was @ 13weeks. There is no hope of funds at all. Iv not registered for ANC, talkless of having anoda scan or even buying few things for lo. Pls,for d sake of Almighty God, assist a sister. All iv said above is d truth. If u need any proof or anything, just ask me. I will provide. This has never been my wish,but I know things happen for dr reasons nd God is aware of all.
Thanks ma in anticipation. May we all deliver our lo safely. Amen. Please,please and please, help me for God's sake. I appreciate you all.

It is a detailed ultrasound scan, sometimes called the mid-pregnancy or 20-week scan. It is usually carried out when you are between 18 and 21 weeks pregnant. In some areas it may be carried out later than 21 weeks. The scan checks for major physical abnormalities in your baby, although it can't pick up every problem.

My able Cappo!! God bless you for your good works. I no say I no dey try to even give shout out sef but these days, the rate at which I get tired is out of this world. Gender is XX. Mild drama occurred when DH and I went for anomaly scan last week. After checking for the anomalies, DH asked for sex. Na so Sonographer say XX, that was how this man started prancing round the scan room, shouting whoops! Whoops! I come dey look am like wetin dey worry this one? . DH's father has about 15 grandchildren and they are all boys. Only one is a girl so na Dh go give them the second girl now. The man was so happy that everything I said I wanted on our way home, he bought it for me and kept repeating Thank you. Now I wake up to see this man caressing my tummy or just kissing it. Its creepy AF but what can I do? Over happiness wan kill the man .

Congrats to all the mothers that have birthed their LOs. I'm so jealous of you April Mamas. I wish this month was July, I swear.

Please house, I plan to go shopping on good Friday. Between Lagos Island and Trade fair (close to Iyanoba), which place has the best prices? During my wedding, I did most of my shopping at Balogun but towards the tail end, I had to go to Trade fair cos of time constraints and I found out that some of the items I got in Balogun were selling for cheaper at Trade fair. I vex small sha. I dont want to make same mistakes so if anyone has used either or both market for baby shopping, please help me drop price ranges so I can compare. Thank you

U got me laughing @ cocacola mama.lol. well... baby's gender is xy and we are doing good. Shopping starts this weekend and i really cant wait. Gynae said placenta is anterior and frm what she said i think i am at risk of placenta previa. She has put me on pelvic rest, no travelling out of the ciťy and generally not stressing mysef and incase of any blèeding, i should rush straight to d hospital . Me sef kuku ma add bed rest to it cos wen i stand too much d pressure on my cervix bcoms so much that i feel thats where baby stays. I have an appointment at week 32 to check for previa as d doctor thinks the placenta can still move up by itself. From my 32 weeks appointment then we will know what next. Ever since my 20weeks anomally scan, my life hasnt been d same cos it has been one thing or the other. Thats y i just siddon dey watch and to comment here sef na wahala. I pray at the end of the day we all carry our healthy LO's. Thanks for d good work our dear cappo.

Pls rest as much as you can. We must do all we can to save our LOs

While waiting to see Dr, try to take one step at a time. No bike while going home. Am happy you have no pain so am sure it can be rescued. Follow other mamas advice pls. I can see lo is ready to come but because its not yet his time, speak to him as his mother to go back and bake. Sex will be updated.

Mamas oo. just came out from scan now. And am not happy. Actually went to check baby sex. But was told my cervix Is dialleting. Feeling very bad. What could cause incopetent cervix and what can i do about this. Am not feeling any pains just ok

Please and please, don't joke with it.
It could be that you had previous miscarriage and got pregnant soonest after that which is normal for a new couple so the next pregnancy when it reaches around 22weeks above could lead to IC.
It could be due to stress,
It could be baby resting on your cervix.
It could be due to fibroid.
It could be fever.
It could be due to so many things but don't joke with it.
Cerlage is done to rescue the situation as at 14 - 16 weeks but I don't know if it can still be done now at around 25weeks.
Progesterone can be given.
There is another drug to fasten the baby' lungs.
You will need plenty rest, as in not getting up from bed, not even to go to the bathroom. I mean You may have to use towel to clean yourself type of rest.
Always elevate your buttocks while resting.
You will need plenty water in case water is already draining unknowingly.
Please, just follow whatever your doctor says.
Am happy you went for this timely scan to know on time.
