"I don't think you guys know what you are playing with. You can call each other names and laugh about it now but when you end up inciting hate here as I read through your posts here and a real civil war starts in your country you will regret what you are doing now. Your religious and political leaders are trying to divide you between religious lines and you are helping them do that rather than standing up and say we are all Nigerians never mind our tribe, region or religion. That's the only stand that will save your blessed nation. The foreign powers pushing the government to take certain decisions will abandon you when you start killing one another and reject you from running to their countries so be careful. Our eleven year war in Sierra Leone was not even based on religious or tribal difference and see what we did to our country.

The worst conflicts are those based on tribal and religious differences. See Central Africa, Bosnia, South Sudan and Rwanda. To have a better knowledge of this, please watch the documentary/movie called "Hotel Rwanda" or "Sometime in April"

My heart bleeds when I read what you guys are saying because I know what this will lead to. You will be the losers, all of you!!! Whether Christian, Muslim, Igbo, Yoruba or Hausa. Stand as one and save your nation together because you have only one Nigeria that has the potential to lead Africa."

This is a new fraud!!!

Dear friends,

Somebody called me with this phone number 07060714545 telling me he was doing some registration online and he mistakenly put my number on what he is registering, that my number is similar to his number and that the password of what he was registering was sent to my phone which I actually saw as 6310.

He was now appealing to me to give him the reset code that was sent to my phone so that he could finish his registration.

I told him to call me with the number that he claims was similar to my number so that I can verify his claims, he told me he didn't have credit on that line.

I went online to find out more, only to discover he was actually trying to reset my facebook/yahoo mail password and that he is a fraudster and a facebook hacker.

If I had given him the code which was sent to my phone, he would have used it to reset my Facebook account, please be careful with anonymous calls and the information you give out. Their stories can be very convincing, pause and take some time to research on their stories or talk to somebody before co-operating or giving out information.

Funny how we as "Christians" are quick to conclude our church or we are more rooted in Christ than the next Christian. Before you go about condemning the Bishop as if he has embraced the act of perversion or homosexuality. Try to read stories with an open mind than the intention to reply hastily. All the Bishop is saying is to approach the act by dialogue rather than condemnation and holier than thou syndrome. A perfect example can be cited in Luke 7:36-50, John 8:2-11.

If you want to know why Mary and not Martha or some random person was picked? It's in the Bible, Luke 1:27-46. An angel of God appeared to her and first HONOURED her by addressing as "Hail Mary! O favoured One". Not everyday you get an angel appearing to man and HAILING that man. Apart from Jesus, it's only Mary that was sanctioned to be called BLESSED for all GENERATIONS. Now, to my opinion... The Catholic church obviously has issues with "man made doctrines" but, no church is free from such. Pentecostals address their leaders (GO's) as General Overseer, a title I strongly believe only GOD deserves! They also pray with phrases like "The God of Daddy, Oyedepo, Adeboye, Oyakhilome..." and the list goes on, but none of this men were mentioned in the bible... It's funny how we see the faults in others when we ourselves are basking in imperfection. The same bible admonishes us against cross-breeding animals, wearing clothes made of wool and silk together, speaking in tongues when no man can interpret around yet, we seem not to have a problem with flouting such instructions... Get a grip of your self and fight for your own salvation!!! Let God be the judge, it's clearly stated in the bible.

You are a disgrace for supporting such savage act!!! How can you publicly justify slapping a woman in public by a supposed public servant. It's the same African mentality most of our politicians keep displaying to the world that has earned us all the tag called Third World Country.

When they all settle down to digest the bill, I hope the reasonable ones among them will retract and apologize.

That's a totally silly excuse for these politicians to save their ugly faces. Fine! They voted for the renunciation clause to be deleted. However, the premise on which the clause stands, leaves a vague statement that "a woman who's married is deemed of full age." This automatically implies that marrying a minor can't be debated. Why didn't these politicians insist that full age therefore shall be a female of 18years and above? We all did Logic in school, and in law. One rule applies, if it is not explicitly stated, it's considered vague and will always be debated with no resolved. So I guess they are not so intelligent after all.

Who ever made this post must be a staff of Sun newspaper because they are notorious for sensationalizing news stories. Just click on the link and you'll see there's nowhere in the story the NOAA predicted any hurricane hitting West Africa, let alone Lagos. Nigerians should please read and understand news stories before misleading others...
