dominique: He didn't go in 2011 and we didn't hear any uproar. I should be asking you why Jonathan did not attend the one organised by NN24 then. Why did he run away?
Wetin be NN24? Have they conducted any debate before? Infact, this is the second time Buhari is running away from debate. COWARD.
omenka: There are some people whose mentions I simply ignore. Such as people who can't differentiate between a trench coat and a suit, or an airport shuttle and a train.
Just try to do same.
You're an embarassment to the school you attended. I allowed you to keep fooling yourself. I threw up a SATIRE in a thread, you and your fellow certificate Forgers illiterates kept making fool of yourselves. Go ahead,
koboko69: Cant you for once think with your grey matter? Dont mention me on your silly threads. APC gave a valid reason. We can all see the show of shame AIT brought upon themselves and upon PDP. The more you people try, the more you make the General popular. He is not going for a debate organised by mediocres..,,SIMPLE AND PLAIN. When you mr clueless avoided a neutral debate in 2011, what was your stand? foolishness at its peak
Which valid reason? To me it's all about Cowardice. That AIT and NTA, two profit making television stations broadcasted a paid documentary allowed by the law is now the reason he chickened out of a debate to tell Nigerians what he has for them. It's obvious Buhari has no genuine plan for Nigeria.
For Buhari to squander the golden opportunity presidential debate provided to trash many allegations against him, ranging from corruption, 53 suit case scandal, N2.8 billion missing money while as NNPC chairman as well as financial scandals as head of PTF, Human rights abuse allegations and most importantly, his plans for Nigerians if he's eventually elected as the President of Nigeria.
For turning his back against the people by withdrawing from presidential debate, I on behalf of GENUINE PROGRESSIVES, I induct General Muhammadu Buhari into AFRICA HALL OF SHAME.
It's unfortunate that those shouting Sai Buhari suddenly become blind each time they see Jonathan's numerous achievements in all sectors of our national life. I'm consoled when many of them admits that he has done very well but they're only asking for change of government. Unfortunately, this was the same way Egyptians was desperate for change and fall into the evil hands of APC carbon copy, Muslim Brotherhood, they paid dearly. For now, what we want is change of attitude, not change of government. #IchooseGEJ.
jiggalo: The APC accused organisers of the public favouritism and campaign of calumny against the business political interest of the party and its candidates. According to SaharaReporters, Director Media and Publicity of the APC Presidential Campaign Organization (APCPCO) Garba Shehu, said in an official comment on Thursday in Abuja that the Nigeria Election Debate Group (NEDG) organised discussion was oppressed with essential mistakes. He added that the channels are controlled by administration of incumbent President Goodluck Jonathan. Garba said: “A salutary inspection of the composition of NEGD brings into focus the Broadcasting Organization of Nigeria (BON), National Television Authority (NTA), Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) and the Africa Independent Television (AIT, owned by a PDP chieftain). And going by the avalanche of inflammatory statements, misinformation and blatant lies being propagated by some of these media against our Party and candidates contrary to the Koffi Annan brokered Abuja Peace Accord, and the failure of these aggressors to desist and apologize, have left the APC Campaign with no option than to steer clear of any premeditated smear campaign that could be inimical to our prospective electoral success .” The spokesperson of the APC campaign further clarified that the ignore by the APC should not be seen as disregard to Nigerian electorates, or an explanation for the party to escape public examination. Shehu continued: “The APC is a party of progressive intellectuals, genuine technocrats, successful businessmen and women, and most of all eminent and courteous people of honor who would never condescend to the level of sadistic gutter propaganda, all in the name of political exigency and crass opportunism. ” Spokesman also accused national media of banning the media advertisements of the opposition party. He said: “Aside, elements close to sitting President Goodluck Jonathan have commissioned series of derogatory and death threat advertorials against the person, family and associates of the opposition leader, General Muhammadu Buhari, to which the APC had sent letters of complaint to the Inspector General of Police, the Director General of State Security, Advertisers Practitioners of Nigeria (APCON), Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and the erring media that published or aired such offensive adverts or documentaries. None of our letters of protest has been attended to by the authorities. So whatever the incumbent President wants to do with the instrument of state to harass members of the opposition into humiliating submission would not work. The APC/Buhari campaign is now a people’s movement. The more they try to rubbish it, the more popular we are with the populace.” http://www.naij.com/375372-apc-boycott-bon-organised-tv-debates-apc-campaign.html
obailala: In this administration, due to our collective admiration and unparalleled support for the amiable Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, we Igbos are not being used as political tools anymore, instead we are being used as political slaves and doormats. Unlike the slavery we endured under all other Nigerians administrations in the past, we seem to be taking the exploitation of the present government with a huge smile on our faces.
I cant point out a single federal road which has been fixed by the present administration in the SE. The most disheartening aspect is that Igbos actually go around and deceive fellow Igbos that GEJ has fixed several roads and even constructed a 2nd Niger Bridge.
You and the OP should have told us the exact level past government's kept the promise of giving Ndigbo the second Niger Bridge instead of this trash. whether GEJ is shortchanging Igbos by not commissioning the mega bridge after less than ten months after flag off is not my concern since others before him, including Buhari never got it thought. In Jonathan we trust.
