Bellow is a picture of a woman wearing APC T shirt and PDP Wrapper. It made headline news not because of beauty or ugly nature of the dressing, but............... ( story for another day). In this case, the T shirt represent APC, while the Wrapper represent PDP. If you find yourself in a situation where you've no clothes on your body and you need real protection, and you're offered T shirt ( APC ) or Wrapper (PDP), What will be your choice?

berem: If you must know, educational facilities are not lacking in the north. GEJ's so called educational reform in the north is insignificant. The north has most of the best federal and state schools and they have good teachers. The problem with the northerners is that most of them do not value western education. Their government pay heavily to sponsor them to school by giving them bursaries and scholarships, yet most of them refused to grab the opportunities. I had my secondary education in the north in a unity school so I know what I am talking about. What's your point? Are you telling me that the nine States in the north do have Universities before the coming of Jonathan? Let say the truth for God sake, politics apart. |

I was shocked when I read in the newspapers that the presidential candidate of APC, General Muhammadu Buhari criticized Jonathan's enviable achievements in education sector. According to the report, he described the new Universities as empty, ill-equipped and poorly staffed,, only for the purpose of winning votes. He even blame Jonathan for failure of students in international examinations like West Africa School Certificate (WASC), the same examination he failed woefully (f9 in mathematics) in 1961 when Jonathan was only four years. In his usual hypocrisy, he refused to mention about 150 almajiri schools in Northern Nigeria and a similar initiatives in the south for school drop-outs. Though, I don't expect a man whose notable achievements in education sector is..... Abolition of subsidized meals in the Universities, Banned students unionism, Banned ASUU to know the importance of education. Isn't that foolishness for a man who couldn't build a single classroom either in primary school, secondary school or university to criticize a fellow who constructed brand new Universities, brand new almajiri schools etc? Without bias, I believe last person to talk about education is Buhari. |
