Thanks yawa, when i opened up my public html folder, it shows me a list of my joomla folders and some where 644 and others 755, kind of confused here. thanks

i install DF contact component on my localhost and it installed well but when i tried installing it on my site at hostmonster it wont install with error message

* Warning! Failed to move file.

i would prefer you use wampserver because it is easier and have lesser security issues. Download it online and install it on your computer. Afterwards upload a copy of joomla you have into C:/wamp/www, then open up your web browser and type localhost, towards the end of the page you will see the site listed as one of the projects. Is the site in question on your local server or remote computer

Yeah the site is cool all animated and stuff,(am not the guy for that) but you want any function on your site anything bro i mean mail me folusosode@hotmail.com

Have encountered such a problem before, you wont believe that you only checked the wrong button during configuration, Go check your SEF in your Global configuration see if it is checked then uncheck it, should work believe me. cheers

After extracting the zipped joomla folder, copy the extracted folder into your www folder(guess wamp). Start ur browser type in localhost, 2wards d end of d page you will c your listed projects in your www folder. Choose d joomla folder,whoola installations begins.

currently i dont own a web server but from books i have read i guess this is wat u need. constant electricity,

about d computers dat will serve as ur server its best u ask for d configuration from professionals and also u will b needing some softwares.

i guess u want 2 show them ur developed web app without them stealing it from u. i think u should install a demo for them, show them how they can access d pages locally and u only show them ur site(d web app) on ur system explaining 2 them it's just a similar process 2 d demo u just install on their system. and u only doin that for security reasons. i hope it helps

thanks at all. now am onto coding it my self but note pad is just messing up, meaning when i write my php codes with note pad the browser don't display the desired ouput, but when i used the same codes in the code section of dreamweaver they work well what could be wrong?

i have gotten my hands on a book on php and mysql i hope it helps, thank yall for you advice and support
