Your search queries, the number of minutes your device is online, etc. Google may decide to send the data to Android OEM's based in the country to improve sales. My brother if you don't know anything use Google please.

1. Variety
There are different brands of Android phones. This variety gives users a lot to choose from. Some have amazing camera quality, others are beasts with amazing specifications. In iOS you're tied down to only Apple. You can only choose from the devices they have which are obviously limited.

Limited is what way? Availability? Does the iPhone run out of stock? They don't make enough iphones or what? Specification? Does the iPhone not beat every other phone in the market in performance? Camera? After pixel which is next? What you should say is the varsity on android make consumers able to chooses between different specifications and price based on their(the consumer) preference. But iPhone just comes in one variant and one price range based on colour and price. Therefore people who's preference does not fall into this (iPhone) tend to go for an android.

2. Target Market
The Android OS has devices that covers every country .Google has covered virtually every country on earth and can easily detect common habits and behavioral patterns of mobile phone users in any country making it easier for them to know the best devices and features that'll work in a specific region.As for Apple, they simply lack that ability .

Are you kidding me? This is the biggest joke of all time. Firstly. Which country is the iPhone not available in? Secondly, what kind of behavioral patterns of Nigerians for example did google detect to know that tecno and infinix are the only phones that can sell in Nigeria? See this one? If I bought a galaxy s7 edge, is it not the same phone the person in the uk is using? Or infinix and tecno can't sell outside nigeria? I'm still trying to get you point, Buh I give up. This has no point.

3. Flexibility and Control
Android gives you the freedom to do what ever you want with your phone. You can root Android devices with the touch of a button, Change your phone's UI by installing a launcher, flashing a Custom ROM or using Xposed Modules. In iOS you hardly have any control without jailbreaking the phone. Even after jailbreaking the device, there are still limits to things you can do.

Talking about customization, launcher, icons and changing of values. Yes android has it. But when would you guys start to realize that rooting of android phones (except or stealing and hacking of apps) only solves problems that are only exclusive to android phones in the first place!!! You root your phone and flash all the custom roms in the world 'cos your phone will never get software updates from the manufacturer. And iPhone does! Or you root your phone to delete unwanted apps and bloatware, which the iPhone does not come with!! So why should I jailbreak an iPhone? Even if jailbreaking was the same as rooting...... Oh yeah I know... Download, hack and use apps developers spend their time and money on? Nah!

4. Connectivity
There are a variety of ways to transfer files in Android Devices. You can use Bluetooth , Xender , HotKnot, NFC and more to receive apps, music, photos and other media files. iOS on the other hand forces you to download music from iTunes and you cannot even collect music from someone via Bluetooth because iPhones don't have Bluetooth.

IPhones don't have Bluetooth? Seriously? That's the end. You don't deserve to write articles talk less of owning a blog. It's like football analyst saying referees don't where boots simply because they don't kick the ball. IPhones have Bluetooth both the don't pair with non-iphones. They also pair with audio and other devices that use Bluetooth, like a car stereo. And xender is an app not a connectivity and it's also available on iphones. Hotknot is also an app! IPhones have NFC. You can't share apps and music So you don't have to avoid paying for them. And yes pay for apps and music because the owners did not make it free.

5.Budget And Cost Of Devices
Android has different phones that cut across every sector of any country's economy. There are phones for the High Class, Middle Class and Low Class. By reducing the cost of production for some devices, Android devices are able to meet the budget of almost everyone. Let's take smartphones in Nigeria as an example.
INFINIX, Tecno and Itel are owned and operated by the same company but each of these devices take care of the needs of a particular class of people. iTel devices are mostly targeted at the low income earners, while Tecno and Infinix take care of the average and high income earners.
This strategy has enabled these phones have a larger market share if devices in Nigeria. This is the same method all Android OEMs are using all over the world to cover every part of any country they're targeting. However , Apple devices are stuck to the price that Apple has set. iPhones are targeted at high income earners.

Addressed this issue in your first point and my first comment on this tread. And infinix, tecno and itel are IMPORTED by the same company, not owned by the same company

6. Availability Of Repair Centres
Nobody wants to use a phone that can't be fixed when it has a fault. Many Android devices can be fixed by third-party repair centers or personnel quite easily as their parts are readily available. The cost of repair is also relatively affordable. Unlike in iOS, The cost of repairing an Apple product is always high and the parts are always scarce.

I remember when I used an android phone "fly" I had to go all the way to computer village from epe just to flash my phone. It was having booting problems. Where I wan see the parts for that one? Let's be honest new entry and affordable android phones which make up majority of android phones are the hardest to see it's parts. And the iPhone is in fact the easiest to see it's parts across nigeria. Cos its not versatile, just one model and it repeat designs. For example one touch panel would fit, iPhone 6,6s and 7.

Plus do you know to fix the screen of a galaxy note 7 is just as expensive as buying a brand new s7 edge??

Actually, the number one reason will always be the price. Cost of iPhone is no doubt out of range for majority of Africans. If the price of iPhone will by someway be like that of most android devices,many will dumb their Android for iPhone.
But we all know the probability of an iPhone price being on the same scale with Android is probably not probable

Any android phone that is just as good as the iPhone is also just as expensive or more expensive than the iPhone. A Google pixel is more expensive than the iPhone. I own both a phone and a physical bible. And I'm the type that trys to reduce what I carry So I can be very mobile.

For me, if not for the awkwardness of stepping inside a church with your hands free, I prefer using a mobile device!
