No need for it to dry up so that you can have enough to drink when the time comes.
You think every serious nation is like Nigeria that depends solely on oil? instead of you people to be concerned about people exploiting you while building their own states with the oil from your region but its Igbos that is your problem.

No. I mean all these insurgent groups from the North to the South may take advantage of that to recoup and attack. Remember Russia will do anything to distract Nigeria from Niger. And our military is already "stretched out" like they say.
Ok, I no Nigeria can never survive it. Fighting in many fronts will be our downfall.

Finally you have embraced constructive criticism.

Unfortunately Obi is a helpless hypocrite that cannot be trusted.
Obi also said he would cut the cost of governance but here is Tilumbu lumping more and more irrelevant beings into offices.
Why must you only see or hear where Obi promised to remove subsidies but you fail to hear or see where he also promised to cut the cost of governance? 🤷‍♂️

Measures that'll cushion the effect is already on the way.

Scanty protest?
You have forgotten that endsars protest started with just four people tweeting from the corner of their room.

Politics › Re: NLC Strike: Lawmakers’ Salaries Not Enough – Akpabio by phorget(m): 7:33pm On Aug 01, 2023
Celepope:
Let’s be realistic here. Necessary things like what? Remember these guys are lawmakers and not Executives. That’s if you understand how separation of powers work in a decent society. Please educate me on the necessary things they ought to have done.
Akpabio was once a governor before becoming a lawmaker, most people in government today would have been in one office before the current one so what exactly have they done?
Do you see people flocking around politicians in the developed countries? If no then what exactly did the politicians over there did that made their citizens not to bother them for money.

Nigeria politicians will impoverish the people then continue handing over peanuts to them all in the name of constituency projects and empowerments.
Politics › Re: NLC Strike: Lawmakers’ Salaries Not Enough – Akpabio by phorget(m): 3:58pm On Aug 01, 2023
Celepope:
To be fare to these guys, their salaries aren’t enough to take care of the demand and needs of their constituents. You need to see how people queue up in front of their gates whenever they go back to their constituency with various forms of monetary demands. Mind you the more hardship the members of their constituency face, the more demand they will be exposed to. These guys make more money based on the committees they head or belong to. Anyways that doesn’t mean their salaries should be increased though because that will be immoral.
If they've done the necessary things then nobody will ever bother to go get peanuts from them.
