SHOCKER IN LONDON: “ALL 36 GOVERNORS FLEW IN?” – Nigerians REACT as Tinubu’s UK Visit Sparks OUTRAGE 😳🇳🇬🇬🇧 A viral video currently trending online has set social media on FIRE after claims surfaced that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu allegedly travelled to the United Kingdom with a massive entourage — with some users even alleging that “nearly all 36 state governors” stormed the UK to receive him. The clip, shared widely on TikTok, shows a crowd of Nigerian officials and dignitaries in the UK, triggering heated reactions from citizens both home and abroad. 💬 One angry user wrote: “Entire Aso Rock don relocate go UK? God have mercy on Nigeria!” 💬 Another added: “This country is not serious. Who is running Nigeria right now?” But here’s where it gets interesting 👇 🔍 FACT CHECK: Reports indicate that President Tinubu’s visit to the UK is actually a historic state visit, hosted by King Charles III — the first of its kind in nearly 40 years. () Even more surprising… 👉 Contrary to viral claims, ONLY ONE governor — Zamfara State Governor Dauda Lawal — is officially part of the president’s delegation. () 🤔 So where did the “36 governors” narrative come from? Was it misinformation… exaggeration… or just social media cruise? 🇳🇬 Nigerians are now divided: Some say the optics of the trip still look “too expensive” Others argue it’s a necessary diplomatic move to boost trade and international relations Meanwhile, the presidency maintains the visit will focus on investment, trade, and strengthening ties with the UK. WHAT DO YOU THINK? Is this just social media exaggeration… or is there more to the story? 👇 Drop your thoughts below! WATCH THE VIRAL VIDEO: https://vt.tiktok.com/ZSuXqMQtN/ X :

Nigeria may have lost reggae legend Majek Fashek, but his music continues to speak powerfully to the realities of modern society. Known for blending reggae with deep social commentary, Majek wasn’t just an entertainer — he was a voice of conscience. Years after his passing, many of his songs remain strikingly relevant, addressing corruption, poverty, spirituality, love, and national struggles that Nigerians and Africans still face today. Here are five Majek Fashek songs that still resonate strongly with society. 1. Send Down the Rain Perhaps his most iconic song, Send Down the Rain is more than a spiritual anthem. It reflects the struggles of farmers, economic hardship, and dependence on divine intervention — issues that remain familiar across Nigeria today. The song symbolizes hope during hardship, something many people still cling to amid economic uncertainty. 2. Prisoner of Conscience This powerful track speaks about injustice, oppression, and the abuse of power. In a time when conversations about human rights, governance, and freedom of speech dominate public discourse, the song feels almost prophetic. It reminds listeners that truth often comes with sacrifice. 3. So Long Too Long So Long Too Long addresses patience, suffering, and waiting for change — themes deeply connected to the frustrations of citizens hoping for better leadership and living conditions. The emotional tone of the song mirrors the collective feeling of people waiting for progress that seems delayed. 4. Holy Spirit Nigeria remains a deeply spiritual society, and Holy Spirit captures the yearning for divine guidance and protection. The song continues to resonate with listeners navigating personal struggles, uncertainty, and faith. Its message transcends religion, focusing on inner strength and hope. 5. Little Patience This track encourages endurance during hardship — a message that feels especially relevant in times of economic pressure and social challenges. It serves as a reminder that perseverance often precedes breakthrough. Why Majek Fashek Still Matters Today Majek Fashek’s music remains timeless because he sang about real issues — not trends. His songs addressed: Social injustice Economic hardship Faith and spirituality Love and humanity National identity That authenticity is why new generations continue discovering his music years after his death. Beyond reggae, Majek Fashek represented truth, resilience, and hope — values that society still needs today. May his soul continue to rest in peace. 🕊 For more Edo legends, entertainment stories, and celebrity history, visit edocelebrities.com https://www.edocelebrities.com/five-majek-fashek-songs-still-relevant-to-our-society-today/ cc: Mynd44 , Nlfpmod , Seun

Throwback Video of Oshodi in 2003 Sparks Reactions — “Wait Till You See the Transformation A viral throwback video showing Oshodi in April 2003 has got Nigerians talking online, as many compare the chaotic scenes from back then to what the area looks like today. The clip, which is currently trending on TikTok and X, captures the old Oshodi — overcrowded buses, street trading everywhere, and heavy congestion — a sharp contrast to the modern transport interchange and cleaner environment people see now. Many commenters are crediting the transformation to policies that started during the administration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who was governor of Lagos at the time reforms began. Some reactions online: “If you didn’t see Oshodi before 2007, you won’t understand this transformation.” “This is why Lagos will always be different.” “Love him or hate him, this change is massive.” Others, however, argue that multiple administrations contributed to the development of Oshodi, sparking debate about who deserves the most credit. We’ll Declare War!” — Governor Bala Mohammed Blasts EFCC Over Alleged Targeting of Opposition Politicians (Video) Tension is rising in Nigeria’s political space after Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, issued a strong warning to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over what he described as the persecution of politicians doesn’t belong to the ruling party. Speaking in a viral video currently circulating online, the governor warned that there could be serious political consequences if the anti-graft agency continues what he called selective investigations against opposition figures, especially non-members of the All Progressives Congress (APC). According to him: “If this persecution of non-APC members does not stop, we will declare war.” The statement has sparked heated reactions across social media, with many Nigerians debating whether the EFCC is being used as a political tool or simply carrying out its constitutional duties. Some commenters support the governor’s stance, claiming opposition leaders are being unfairly targeted, while others insist that anyone found guilty of corruption should face the law regardless of party affiliation. 🎥 Watch the full video below: https://vt.tiktok.com/ZSmAFYS7f/ What do you think — Is EFCC fighting corruption or politics? 🤔 Drop your opinion below 👇 X: https://x.com/eyesoflagos1/status/2023673399352922234?s=46 Cc: Mynd44 , Nlfpmod , Seun

Apple has rolled out iOS 26.3, introducing a notable update that simplifies the process of switching from an iPhone to Android devices, alongside improvements in security, notifications, and system performance. The software update was officially released on February 11, 2026, as part of Apple’s routine upgrade cycle, arriving about two months after iOS 26.2. It is available as a free download for eligible iPhone models through the Settings menu under General → Software Update. Eyes Of Lagos reports, New Migration Tool Simplifies Switching to Android One of the most talked-about additions in iOS 26.3 is a built-in migration tool designed to make transferring data from an iPhone to an Android device easier and faster. Previously, users often relied on third-party apps or manual processes to move files between operating systems. With the new update, Apple has integrated the transfer option directly into the device setup process. The feature allows users to place their iPhone near an Android phone to begin a wireless data transfer without needing additional applications. Supported data transfers include: Photos and videos Messages Contacts and phone numbers Notes Passwords Installed apps and device settings The update significantly reduces the complexity of switching ecosystems, a factor that has historically discouraged users from moving away from iPhones. Interestingly, similar functionality already exists on Android through Google’s Quick Share system, particularly on Pixel devices, highlighting growing interoperability between competing platforms. Expanded Notification Support for Third-Party Wearables iOS 26.3 also introduces improved compatibility with non-Apple wearable devices by enabling notification forwarding beyond the Apple Watch. With the new feature: Notifications can be viewed on supported third-party smartwatches Settings can be managed directly from the iPhone Users gain more flexibility when using non-Apple accessories However, Apple noted a limitation — notifications can only be forwarded to one wearable device at a time. Activating the feature for a third-party smartwatch may disable notifications on an Apple Watch. The enhancement is partly linked to regulatory requirements in Europe but signals Apple’s gradual shift toward broader ecosystem compatibility. Security and Performance Improvements Beyond visible features, iOS 26.3 includes several background upgrades aimed at improving device stability and protecting user data. These include bug fixes, system optimisation, and security patches designed to address vulnerabilities. Apple continues to recommend installing updates promptly to maintain device security and performance. Supported Devices iOS 26.3 is available on iPhones that support iOS 26, including: iPhone 17 series iPhone 16 series iPhone 15 series iPhone 14 series iPhone 13 series iPhone 12 series iPhone 11 series Older models such as the iPhone XS, XS Max, and XR are not compatible with iOS 26 and later versions. Why the Update Matters The introduction of an easier Android migration process represents a subtle but significant shift in Apple’s approach to its ecosystem. For years, switching platforms was considered complicated and time-consuming. By simplifying the process, Apple appears to be responding to user expectations and regulatory pressure for greater device interoperability. For users considering a move to Android, using third-party wearables, or seeking improved performance and security, updating to iOS 26.3 may offer tangible benefits. https://eyesoflagos.com/2026/02/16/apple-ios-26-3-switch-iphone-to-android/ cc: Mynd44 , Nlfpmod , Seun

Popular Nigerian preacher and founder of Salvation Ministries, Pastor David Ibiyeomie, has once again set social media and religious circles on fire after making a bold revelation about his luxury watch collection. In a viral video currently making the rounds online, the outspoken pastor disclosed that he does not buy the expensive watches he is often seen wearing, stressing that many of them are gifts from people who appreciate the impact of his work. According to Pastor Ibiyeomie, one of the watches in his possession is valued at $2 million (over ₦3 billion) — and shockingly, he claims he has not even worn half of the watches he owns. “I don’t buy the watches I wear. Someone gave me a two million dollar watch. I haven’t even worn half of my watches. The ones you see on social media are just a small part of my collection,” he said. The pastor went further to state that if people were to see the full extent of his watch collection, many would literally faint, emphasizing that what is shown online is only a fraction of his wealth. “If they saw all of them, they would faint,” he added. Addressing critics who often question how pastors acquire such luxury items, Pastor Ibiyeomie attributed his blessings to problem-solving and value creation, not personal greed or church funds. “I’m getting watches because I’m solving problems,” he explained. His statement has since sparked mixed reactions online, with supporters praising him as a man enjoying the rewards of his labor, while critics argue that such displays of wealth clash with the humility expected of religious leaders. As the debate continues, one thing is clear: Pastor David Ibiyeomie knows how to command attention, and this latest revelation has once again placed him at the center of Nigeria’s ongoing conversation about wealth, faith, and prosperity preaching. 📹 Watch the full video below and drop your thoughts: Video : https://vt.tiktok.com/ZSmjedS3h/

FLASHBACK BOMBSHELL: “Victoria Island May Sink” — The 1989 Prediction Nigeria Ignored Until Eko Atlantic Saved Lagos Many Nigerians don’t know this — or have chosen to forget it. On May 10, 1989, a terrifying warning surfaced: Victoria Island, Lagos — Nigeria’s richest business district — was at serious risk of sinking into the Atlantic Ocean. Yes. Sinking. At the time, coastal erosion had already begun destroying parts of Lagos shoreline. Ocean surges were advancing yearly, swallowing land, flooding homes, and threatening banks, offices, and embassies on Victoria Island. Experts warned: 👉 If urgent action was not taken, Victoria Island could become uninhabitable. Fast forward to 2025… Victoria Island did not sink. Why? The Truth Many Nigerians Refuse to Admit Eko Atlantic City was not built for luxury first — it was built for survival. Before the fancy skyscrapers, before the hype, Lagos faced a brutal enemy: the Atlantic Ocean. The solution? A radical, expensive, and controversial project: Reclaim land from the sea and build a permanent ocean defense. That project became Eko Atlantic City. What Would Have Happened Without It? Let’s be brutally honest: Parts of Victoria Island could have been underwater today Lekki and Ikoyi would face yearly ocean invasion Billions in properties and infrastructure would be at risk Lagos’ economic nerve center could collapse Instead, Lagos built the Great Wall of Lagos, one of Africa’s strongest sea defenses, stopping ocean encroachment and protecting millions of lives and trillions in assets. The Elephant in the Room: Tinubu’s Legacy Love him or hate him, critics and supporters agree on one uncomfortable truth: Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu backed a vision most politicians were too afraid to touch. While others focused on short-term politics, this project took decades of planning, engineering, and political will. Today: Victoria Island still stands Lekki is protected Lagos gained a new city from the ocean Coincidence? Or vision? The Question Nobody Wants to Answer If Eko Atlantic had not happened… ❓ Would Victoria Island still exist as Nigeria’s financial capital? ❓ Would Lagos be fighting ocean disasters every rainy season? ❓ Was this project corruption… or catastrophe prevention? Grammy Red Carpet or Cultural Disgrace? Nigerians React to Davido’s Wife Chioma’s Half-Naked Outfit” Many Nigerians were left shocked and disappointed by the outfit Davido’s wife, Chioma, wore to the Grammy Awards. The dress, which many describe as half-naked and overly revealing, has sparked heated debates about cultural representation and role modeling. For a global stage where Nigerian culture should shine, Chioma’s choice of attire has raised questions: Should international fame come at the expense of cultural identity? Are our celebrities forgetting that they influence young Nigerian girls who look up to them? Where is the balance between personal freedom and cultural responsibility? Some Nigerians argue that while everyone has the right to dress as they please, public figures have an added responsibility when representing their country on international platforms. A revealing Grammy outfit, critics say, sends the wrong message to young fans and misses a chance to showcase the beauty and richness of African fashion. Others believe this is personal expression, and celebrities should not be judged harshly for their fashion choices. But the majority opinion seems to lean toward disappointment, especially given that Davido could have guided his wife better before stepping onto such a significant global stage. Discussion Points for Nigerians: Role Model vs Personal Freedom: Can a celebrity be both, or does being a role model limit personal expression? Cultural Representation Matters: Should Nigerian celebrities dress in ways that showcase our culture internationally, or is global fashion freedom more important? Celebrity Responsibility: Should Davido have advised Chioma on her outfit choice for the Grammy Awards? Influence on Youth: How do outfits like this affect the mindset and values of young Nigerian girls? Where’s the Line?: When does “fashion choice” cross over into “cultural disrespect”? Wizkid Sampled Fela To Make Life-Changing Hits But Couldn’t Show Up For His Lifetime Achievement Award — Disrespect Or Coincidence? Wizkid is one of Africa’s biggest music exports today, and there’s no denying his global success. But one issue currently stirring serious conversation online is his absence at Fela Anikulapo-Kuti’s Lifetime Achievement Award ceremony, despite the fact that Fela’s sound and legacy played a huge role in shaping modern Afrobeats — including Wizkid’s own music. Over the years, Wizkid has sampled and drawn inspiration from Fela’s works, helping him create some life-changing, global hits. For many Nigerians, Fela isn’t just a musician — he’s a cultural movement, a revolutionary voice, and a foundation of African music as we know it today. Eyes Of Lagos reports, This is why many fans feel Wizkid should have shown up to pay his respects, even if briefly. To them, attending such an event isn’t about clout, but honouring the shoulders you stood on. Others, however, argue that Wizkid doesn’t owe anyone physical presence, saying respect can be shown in different ways and that artists shouldn’t be forced into ceremonies. So the big question Nigerians are asking is: 👉 If you benefited from Fela’s legacy and sampled his sound to reach the world, isn’t showing up for his honour the bare minimum? 👉 Or is this another case of fans demanding too much from celebrities? Watch the video and decide for yourself 👇 📹 Video: https://vt.tiktok.com/ZSaVL13eT/ Is Wizkid wrong for skipping the ceremony, or are Nigerians just being too emotional about legends? “This girl no fit make heaven.” That was the first reaction many Nigerians had after watching a viral TikTok Live currently making the rounds online. 👉🏽 Watch full video: https://vt.tiktok.com/ZSaxphgLk/ But beyond the jokes, laughter, and shock, there’s a deeper conversation we need to have as a country. In recent times, Nigerian youths have become increasingly desperate to make money online. From TikTok Lives to Instagram Reels, some young people are now doing things that were once considered unimaginable — all in the name of views, likes, gifts, and monetization. What used to be content creation has slowly turned into content desperation. On TikTok Live especially, we now see people: Engaging in explicit or embarrassing acts Saying or doing outrageous things just to trend Losing self-respect for virtual gifts worth a few naira Turning personal dignity into entertainment The scary part? Many of these creators are not “mad” or clueless. They are fully aware of what they’re doing. Hunger, pressure, unemployment, and the toxic idea that “anything that trends is success” have pushed many youths to cross boundaries they never imagined crossing. Yes, the economy is hard. Yes, jobs are scarce. But must survival now mean selling shame online? Another issue is censorship — or the lack of it. Platforms like TikTok claim to have community guidelines, yet such content keeps flooding our screens, influencing younger users who now believe that shock value equals success. If this continues unchecked, what happens next? What becomes “normal” tomorrow? This isn’t about moral policing or pretending to be holy. It’s about asking hard questions: Where do we draw the line? Should everything be allowed because it brings engagement? Are we trading long-term values for short-term clout? Nigerian youths are creative, brilliant, and resilient. We’ve seen people build real brands, businesses, and careers online without degrading themselves. That’s the side we should amplify — not the one that turns desperation into daily entertainment. If we don’t talk about this now, we may wake up one day and realize we normalized what should never have been acceptable. What do you think? Is this just “content”, or have we gone too far? No Hate, Just Honest Music Talk: Is Wizkid’s Camp Diluting the Future of Afrobeats? This is not hate. This is honest music conversation that needs to happen. Wizkid is a global icon, no doubt. But serious questions are being asked about the kind of artists being pushed under his influence lately—artists with no clear sound, weak identity, and little substance. Popular Nigerian social media critic VeryDarkMan has publicly criticised Nollywood actress Mercy Johnson-Okojie following the arrest of a TikTok content creator, Eedie Bliss, over allegations linked to unverified claims about the actress’s family. Eyes Of Lagos reports, The controversy traces back to December 2025, when rumours circulated online alleging that Mercy Johnson’s husband, Prince Henry Okojie, had allegedly purchased a mansion for another woman said to be pregnant for him outside their marriage. The claims, which went viral on social media, were never officially confirmed. Reacting to the rumours at the time, Eedie Bliss reportedly shared a video in which she cited popular gossip blog Cutie Juls as her source. She went further to allege that Mercy Johnson had connived with the woman’s house help to cause a miscarriage. Following the spread of the allegations, Eedie Bliss was arrested and detained in Abuja, allegedly after a petition was filed by Mercy Johnson’s husband. The arrest triggered widespread reactions online, with many social media users questioning why action was taken against the content creator while the alleged original source of the claims was not similarly addressed. Reacting to the development, VeryDarkMan condemned the arrest, describing it as unnecessary and unfair. He argued that defamation is a civil matter, which should be resolved through the courts rather than through police action. He accused Mercy Johnson of bias and pointed out what he described as a contradiction in her stance on similar issues in the past. VeryDarkMan recalled an earlier incident involving Sammy Nwoko, the brother of actress Regina Daniels, who was arrested over alleged defamation following a petition by her husband, Senator Ned Nwoko. At the time, Mercy Johnson had reportedly spoken against the arrest. “Dear Mercy Johnson, you can’t fight for the release of Sammy when Ned arrested him over defamation and later turn around to do the same thing with your husband,” VeryDarkMan said. The social media critic also revealed that the detained content creator is reportedly set to get married on Saturday, warning that he would involve his legal team if she is not released. “If you and your husband feel defamed, please sue her to court and stop using the police to oppress people. She even stated her source as Cutie Juls. I heard her wedding is this Saturday—release her and go to court,” he added. As of the time of filing this report, neither Mercy Johnson nor her husband has issued an official public response to VeryDarkMan’s claims. https://eyesoflagos.com/2026/01/18/verydarkman-calls-out-mercy-johnson-arrest/ cc: Mynd44 , Nlfpmod , Seun
