I first noticed the Vote Buying trend massively in the Edo Gubernatorial Election which brought in Obaseki and ever since then it has been consolidated upon, talk of the Osun Elections, the Ekiti Gubernatorial elections. It is one technique the ruling party has perfected and gives them lots of confidence going into this forthcoming elections. And its easy for them because there's poverty in the land. A man that has not eaten for days and is given 5k just to thumbprint for a party and you want him to say no?

My take is This campaign can only work when poverty has been reduced to the barest minimum in Nigeria.
