@ICaSNg and other gurus in the house, Please I need your candid advice.

I recently got admission to study M.Sc in Accounting and Financial Management at Griffith College Dublin, Ireland. Please I need enquiries on the following:

1) The total tuition expected for me to pay is €12,035. As soon as I have paid for half of the tution to be able to get my study permit, is it possible to atleast pay the balance of 30% by doing part time jobs in Dublin?
2) Please I would like to know the best month to apply for a study permit and the necessary documents like proof of funds and so on required for me to be able to successful get my visa and study permit.
3) I need clarifications on Edu Bond as I do not know what it is about and how long it takes to get visa once application has been submitted?
4) I would also like to know the payment pattern for Griffith College if anyone knows for international students who cannot afford to pay the full fees at once?
5) Please I need advice on how to go about securing an affordable accommodation at Griffith College.

I will like to live in Nigeria again if I can get a job that pays as much. I reside in Canada and it is not as fun as back home. I miss family, the food, timing of EPL, LaLiga, friends, and work colleagues. It is hard to have real friends amongst work colleagues here as their background is so different.The taxes here are also crazy. It is hard to have any savings. I miss the beaches in Lagos plus the weather here is damn cold 9 months in a year. I'd rather come here for vacation than live here, but until that opportunity of going back home presents itself, seems I am stuck here.

My advice to you will deviate a little from the topic. I understand your quest to get further education in the UK, but my own suggestion is this; have you thought of other countries that give you a chance to work after your masters? Rather than put all your eggs in one basket, which is returning to Nigeria, why not seek admission in countries like Canada and Australia. These countries, though cold in winter, offer you a chance to work once you get an education in their country. I believe trying these countries is a better use of the scarce FX.

Back to your question, I am a Canadian qualified professional Accountant and I can only speak about opportunities in this part of the world. I will say CFA is one of the most respected designations in our accounting/Finance line, but it is better for those who want to be Financial analysts.

Finally, whatever you decide, I wish you best of luck.

To be accepted into the training school, getting #2million naira for 10 accounts in 10 working days is a very crucial stage to do and submit for verification on or before the stated deadline. So I would advice you as someone earlier stated, to either email or call them to find out what they really meant if you still need a lil bit of clarification. All the best!!!
