Easiest is uk and it would take less than 6mths if you pass all exams at ist attempt and NMCN behave themselves.

Canada would take you about 6mths to 8mth to migrate (through Express entry IF ONLY YOU MEET THE REQUIREMENTS). Then practicing as a nurse would take you from as little as 1yr to as much as 4yrs depends on your case.
thanks

Log into iqas website and register.
Then print out the neccessary forms fill it and DHL them back to IQAS. IQAS has a checklist and information on how to go about the process on their website. Please look it up and aquint yourself with the process.
Pls, which country is easier to process, migrate to and work in as a nurse between UK and Canada? How long will it take to process both?

I have no idea.. but y will a nurse wanna be a Doctor again..
I only used it as an illustration for my question that what if a person has a 2nd class in a professional and medically related course, how good is the chance of being admitted through DE. Since UI admission is usually based on merit, I'm just trying to help a soul. And like how many candidates are usuallwy admitted into medicine through DE?

pls what's the chance of someone with let's say 2nd class upper in nursing getting admitted through DE into medicine
Education / Re: UI 2018/2019 Admission Thread by phyqtour: 9:36pm On Nov 20, 2018
Zealihedi:
yeah sure... Its medically related
I'm very sorry for being a bit inquisitive, but is there a particular grading system for the screening process or is the DE admission based on knowing someone or just luck?

Zealihedi:
u register with Jamb using ur ssce(1 sitting) and ur statement of result/certificate. then when ui start their DE screening u register with stuff required...Passport, signature, Bio data, Bsc Cert, Ssce, etc. theres specified size of documents which youll be informed... thats all
Thanks, and can those with BSc in physiotherapy, pharmacy or nursing also apply if they want to.

Zealihedi:
U should have a BSc in Biochem, Physiology, Anatomy or Microbiology... At least 2.1... UI mostly gives 1st class for MBBS I guess.
Thanks, and what about the required documents and the screening processes?

Are you a bsn student back home or in the us?
if I were to be a student in the US, I won't even be on this platform. I'm a student trying to find a way out this sh*thole.

The crna program is very competitive and expensive . Are you coming to the us to study bachelors or a masters ?
what you said scared me a little. I'm a BNSc student and I have it in mind to work a little and then get a CRNA. I never know that a CRNA program could be that competitive although I found out that it can be very expensive.

You want to become a crna, Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist? That usually requires at least a bachelor a degree in nursing and some nursing experience preferably in the intensive care unit . It would be hard to get into the program straight from Nigeria. I can not really specify any state, generally you don’t want states that are in high demand for American nurses because chances of employment sponsorship is low. To get direct sppnship from the facility is very hard these days , you may have to go through an agency , a popular one is avant.
So you mean it's going to be hard to get into a MSc anesthetic nursing program even after gaining some experience in an ICU in the US

Massive turn over rates , I mainly talking about bedside nursing , bedside nursing jobs tend to be very stressful so people are always leaving. Another reason for turn over ,is that new graduate nurses will work a job out of school they do not particularly care for , get some experience and leave. Also the younger are going for nurse practitioner school one -two years out of school. The good thing about in American nursing is that there are many places and specialities in nursing. I’m just shedding light on actual nursing in America , since no one has really talked about it in this thread.
By the way, how stressful and costly can it be for a student nurse like me aspiring to work and specialize in anesthetic nursing in the US? And which state would you recommend for a nurse just coming to the US?

Lol, nursing in the US is much better than Nigeria but it’s not a bed of roses here either especially bedside nursing. In my area, there is massive turn over rate with nurses.
pls what do you mean by "massive turn over rate with nurses"? I want to know better.

Nursing in Nigeria is shit! I woyld never practice except the compulsory internship. I said what I said, you cannot change my opinion and never did I say I was un proud of my profession. Nigeria is shit, everything is shitty. Abeg.
Wow! That's a great deal of temper right there. I totally understand what you said. It's only in Nigeria that you'll see a RN beefing another nurse just because the nurse has a BNSC certificate or a matron seeing a BNSC student as a competition or a threat. And we're complaining nursing in Nigeria is not moving forward. That's a poo indeed.

Hello all. I have been a silent plus lazy followers of this thread for a long while. Kudus to my inspirers mamajaz, incredible, barbie and co. I have a bnsc. I would really love to relocate. The processes seem complicated, long and scary to me. I am finding it hard determining which location between canada, US and UK to pursue. Considering the canada express entry , the proof of funds gives me chills( as i no get money) in considering the USA I Just registered with shearwater health but yet to sign contract ( as i want to be sure if it has my best interest compared to other agencies such as avant). Considering the Uk i am preparing for IELETS but some1 said UK nurses are not well paid compared to US and canada and that tax for hubby and children will cut my neck. My people sorry for long post i need advice, motivation and suggestions. Please between UK, USA and canada which has the highest and lowest benefit for nurses in terms of cost of living, salaries and other parameters. Thanks
I think UK nurses are well paid, but UK is not filled with much opportunities for nurses like US. US on the other hand is filled with various options, opportunities and specialties for nurses to choose from, but i think the main problem is the new Trump's immigration policies. Well, Canada may not be as interesting as the other two but I guess the pay over there can be quite cool, but another thing is language issue in case you're not familiar with French.
