A new fone with 3g within the range of 20 to 35k.
It should have the ability to open pdf files and av a very good battery. Your advice wud be appreciated.

Dewze: I did try etisalat BIS on my pc and it worked fine. I don't know about using a generic modem though.

If you have the blackberry desktop manager on your system all u need do is connect ur phone (already with an active BIS plan) to ur pc via a usb cord. Go to tools on ur manager and click internet settings. Add ETISALAT BLACKBERRY NIGERIA as your profile name, blackberry.net:8080 as ur APN and click ok. That's it.

Click connect to internet (usualy on the lower left corner) and start browsing.

grand have a 2mp front facing camera with a 8mp rear camera capable of recordinp hd videos while a+have a 1.2mp front camera with a 8mp rear camera cant record hd videos
both can play hd games

i think u should go for a+
a+ has quadcore,grand has dual core
both have 1gb ram
galaxy grand have 8gb of internal storage while a+ has 4gb of internal storage
galaxy grand runs on android 4.1 n its upgradable to 4.2 while a+run on android 4.2 nt upgradable to 4.3
a+ has hd resolution while grand has wvga resolution(bt d resolution is ok)
grand has ambient light senson which can control d brightness when u r looking at d screen to prevent it frm going off ..a+ lacks it
both have proximity sensor
galaxy grand has dlna while a+ lacks it
both have wifi hotspot
only advantage a+ have over grand is
1)quadcore processor
2)hd resolution
3)price difference
d rest advantage goes to grand..am going to get grand dis month
