the A+ may have quad core but the grand should be more faster cos it's based on cortex A9 which is 30% faster than cortex A7 when they are clocked at the same speed.
so even if A+ has quad,it doesn't mean it's faster.

benchmark doesnt mean in real life performance,my one xl dual core beats s3 quad core in benchmark,the numbers of cores doesn't matter,it's the power a core can deliver.

Believe me even in real world use a phone running on the quad core MT6589 chip out performs the Grand Duos. I made sure I played with a Grand Duos well before I decided to get the Gionee Dream D1. The D1 is noticeably faster than the Grand Duos especially in more CPU intensive tasks and after multiple apps have been opened.

Number of cores will affect performance very well which is why the new BB10 OS could not be ported onto the older hardware. Microsoft increased the number of cores WP8 supports not for fun.

I was only laying an example

Both phones are very good but on the long run you would prefer a grand duos, as new phones are made, new versions of operating systems are made, samsung galaxy grand has the potential of being upgraded to newer versions of operating systems but on phantom you are stuck on jelly bean 4.2.

My advise, get a grand and i noticed that the screen of grand hardly scratches, i even tried scratching it myself, for the processor, do not forget grand runs on a cortex A9 dual core which is verymuch faster than a cortex A7 quad-core, if tecno phantom were to be on cortex A7 octa-core then we can say the speed with that of grand will be equal or faster but don't be deceived with the quad core of phantom, its in no way faster than grang's dual core A9.. For your information grand's speed is more like S3 and the likes, more software functions and upgrade potentiality, i am using the phone and i am happy to have chosen it.

The only issue you might have with grand duos is it resolution, the wvga screen is cool but the resolution of 400*800 is not so cool with a phone with such a large scree, if you are indoor you might not notice the resolution is lesser until you move outdoor on a sunny day, you may hardly see what you are doing on the phone but in all its still Φƙα̲̅ψ.

Apart from that short-coming, grand is way better, with its larger screen again which helps in reading easily, making hd movies more interesting and a wonderful gaming experience.

Am in no way saying tecno is not good but definitely not better than the samsung galaxy grand duos.
