HesInMe: Fair point, but bank managers don't have three heads. Can you try and guess which types of investments they'll deploy the new capital to? And if these juicy investment opportunities were always there for the taking, why then didn't the banks just raise capital on their own to go after the opportunities?
Bros, remember that in almost every clime, the government gives/sets the direction for the investors and companies to align. This helps them - companies/investors to avoid any issues or problems with those in government - who most of the times are very selfish
Bros, nothing significant happening on ground....as per info from phc and waffi! If anyone have seen the contrary please share it here! Anyways refinery is a long term deal...what happens in the months/years ahead..... How far with huge oil find/drilling in bauchi? Any news??
emmanuelewumi: I prefer him to Obabori, it was Obabori that spoke at the facts behind the figures and was the one that presented the forecast.
Olumekun is reserved compared to mouthed Obabori.
Olumekun and Obabori worked together at Red Star Express.
I don't know why they didn't renew Gupta's contract
Really concerning....don't know why they didn't even try to get a naija woman! They better don't mess up with the Best holding on the NGX - bread and butter....(BE=free)
Streetinvestor2: Aiico os is the turn off to anything they generate. Vita foam has too many sub standards products competing with it on the street not only forex wahala.
Locotrader: I have a complete 20m units of chams. I sold all my stocks for CHAMS. From monday I will start to buy 100k units each on Aiico Prestige Sovereign Royalex Regal Guinea Linkage Veritas These ones will be my new Jijo stocks
Streetinvestor2: E be like you just relocated to UK.The joy dey make you feel say you don enter heaven....lol.Many for thr nothing dey gum for thr pocket na only big big English after many yrs.you can go verify
Street-Street, you just dey give this Bros wahala....take am easy na. The guy just dey avoid you o!
Trust Naija women CEO'S...the former CEO did an awesome job but since the lady took over seems trust increased the more. We wait to see their YE result, hopefully bonus will follow!
Sunrisepebble: From now till the end of the year, I’m still looking for a good entry into Nahco, might buy some more Transcorp and if MTNN trades @ 190 or below again, I’ll look to add more.
These are my stocks for 2025 though: UGAZ Presco MTNN Seplat (on LSE) Transcorp Vitafoam NAHCO Nigerian Breweries Aradel (@ attractive entry)
On the radar/ More research to be done on: Nipco, Okitipupa, Maybaker, UACN and Unilever
Excellent picks if got during sales prices....you are my type of investor! However, how does Vitafoam make money? Is it only from selling foams and to whom, please? It's the only one I don't have and they have actually done well over the last few years...
Streetinvestor2: Buying ke my oga.We don buy finish till new fund enter January
Pls I need your opinion and others on this two brokers 1 stanbic brokers 2 cardinal stone
I want to open a new account so I can move my account from another house.I can not sell because my long time bond is way housed in that account I want a broker I can be using my account for leverage for investments sometimes I want a broker who customer service is above average and have good platform for me to trade myself Thr commission charge should be reasonable but not picking the highest aproved brakect in the industry. A broker that is equal to the task to make sure they move out my account when I open account with them.
Morgan Capital: good customer service and quick response...not sure if they will let you in for leverage. UCAP: As oga Emma said sometime ago (if one got him right) they can let you use leverage. As a risk-averse investor....I rarely use leverage!
Agbalowomeri: Only people who lose an intellectual engagement and are unable to articulate clear alternatives, resort to personal attacks
Time will vindicate or vilify all policies
Bros, why did they throw all those insults at GEJ? Some who don't talk any more even called his wife unprintable names! Just because those here are doing well doesn't mean that it's easy out there!! Naija....is the only place where what is good for the goose is not good for the gander!!! .
Kereokwu: Like seriously, that's bad ooo. So it means the shares bought through right issues will not qualify for 20225 dividend?
Not being sure of the qualification for dividends discouraged some from taking up the rights rather buying directly from the floor. Think about it except for FBNH almost all others traded lower than the RI price....as planned by the cowboys.
Streetinvestor2: In as much as I never voted T pain and will not vote him again. I approve some of his policies though he was against Gooduick implementing them early enough to save the country. He and his group played politics and whr protesting without being arrested. It will never be well with that category of Nigerians. Then don't come and be saying rubbish. He didn't squander the fund in excess crude account. It is the useless governors spear headed by the governor of edo state. He has succeeded in puting a pawn as the governor.
Bros, leave-am, na T-pain fit most Naija pipo! He brought the no waec result man who destroyed everything! Now he's trying to do what both of them refused to let a simple-good man (though with his own faults) do with less pain. We all pray and hope things get better....however, keying into fundamentally sound stocks is better than complaining!! Merry Christmas to all members of this great NSEMPA family!!!
Sunrisepebble: I saw this but it didn’t seem like good enough news to me for it to be gaining 10% daily. I was thinking perhaps an acquisition news that isn’t yet out, but I think Dangote already owns a large stake through proxy
Are they still not set to delist from NGX to move to NASD?
Please where is the best platform to take up the bank rights, FBNH/UBA - NGX or Registrar's website? Comments/Input from anyone with similar experience is appreciated!
Streetinvestor2: It is now obvious that many on this thread are oando disciples. The thread is quite because oando went south even with all the green many stocks closed on . This place is filled with traders and gamblers oh...lol
My IB is showing green for the first time in a long time.Sanu is really performing magic. If I bought at 1.20 for my 1 million challenge. Na how many % I for dey now
There have been some action in Intbrew (most of the brewery sector actually) lately...please who is Sanu?
BabsO2: Pray this will support UBA dividend growth Lovely seeing President/PM standing behind Tony and the other guy Pray this will support Transcorp PLC dividend growth.
Tony don hammer...Billionaire list loading! It's been long one guy was shouting here to key into Tony index..
mikeapollo: On a second thought, some scenarios came up in my mind about Oando's proposed financial restructuring:
Let us consider these two theoretical scenarios/options:
Option 1: Write off the related party receivables to bad debts in the P/L and report huge losses for the year. This would lead to a huge drop in price of the shares. With the huge losses, no dividend nor bonus can be paid to shareholders.
Option 2: this is what some of us think Oando is trying to do: Convert and reclassify the related party receivables to investments in related parties (after receiving their shares). This would avoid writing off the receivables to bad debts, thereby preserving potential profits in the P/L. This could boost the company's chances of posting net profits for the year coupled with positive reactions in the stocks market. Shareholders would also benefit in future when the shares are distributed pro-rata.
The choice is for shareholders to decide
Why do humans especially in naija always like to waste time! Gambling is a disease as that OANDO guy ojt will just be laughing at nsempa guys. He will be happy and popping champagne about the confusion he has set because instead of shareholders protesting and calling him out they are busy cracking their brains unnecessarily. Naija, we have a very long way to go.... Hope some are also learning sha
BabsO2: Now that they have acquired Standard Chartered Bank Angola and Sierra Leone, Standard Chartered Bank Nigeria may be next Perhaps that may be too big for them or too significant for the Standard Chartered group.
I think they are already in discussion to acquire it or part of it....if am not mistaken!
Mpeace: I just got message from someone that aradel also paid him today. Note that he just opened the account this year and had not filled any form for edividend mandate
Please who is Aradel Registrar? SEPLAT landed quietly - great guys....nothing from Aradel yet though haven't filled their E-mandate form!
Willie2015: U get the catch of the NNPC move ... It is a good response to Dangote monopoly... Am even more optimistic that they will deliver the 2nd phase ASAP to silent Dangote...
Not a pessimist but naija government with corrupt politicians, systems sabotage, etc can never compete with DR, unfortunately! They should just privatize using the LNG model!
The problem with you lots is that you desperately want this government to fail so you can brag about how you predicted it. However, you have to learn to accept defeat and stop playing politics with every issue
Not so bro! Seeing is believing but until we hear/confirm from those on ground in phc.....No comment
