He wouldn't be charging Oando to strive towards 100,000 bpd if he didn't know that they're sitting on the assets to do it simply by ramping up operations. But even Seplat itself wants to rise higher in price but for the constraints of market rule. Omooloriredade: As expected, Oando will come out firing on all cylinders to sell what this means and the outlook for the company. This is the way it is done. WT intends to mint this opportunity. Hopefully the long-suffering shareholders are the major beneficiaries.
One other thing that caught my attention was the fact that the signing ceremony was done in London. Pourqoi? My eyes lit up when I read that. Eni is Italian, Oando is Nigerian and there's Transcorp Hilton in Nigeria's capital Abuja. Are they eyeing a LSE listing? A path to carbon neutral upstream production will be essential to getting the Londoners on board. I find they are pretty switched on in the O&G space. I may well be getting ahead of myself here. Pure mindless speculation maybe.
Disclaimer - I'm not suggesting there will be a SP rerate so if you're looking to grow your portfolio, please don't make investment decisions based on my post. May be for both parties, "The rule of law", is better in London than Abuja/Milan or what do you guys think? |

emmanuelewumi: Someone on this thread got in touch with me early this year, he claimed he started invested in the stock market 22 years ago and has about 6 years before he would be due for retirement.
He claimed his portfolio was less than N10 million even after trading for over 20 years. He made money from the market, but also lost most from the market.
He got in touch with me for assistance on books that could improve his knowledge about the market.
He claimed he introduced the wife to NGX 18 years ago, but the wife got a dividend of over N3 million in 2023 and a portfolio size of almost N40 million The bolded is the problem plus how much was he trading with? As for tortoise investors diversification is always key, doing this brings peace of mind! mikeapollo: I concur 100%. In fact, Oando's power plant is 930MW, more than double that of Geregu (435MW). Yet, Geregu is selling at N1,000 on NGX (I understand the issue of outstanding shares, earnings and dividend per share etc. may be different) Add that to its higher oil reserves compared to Seplat, plus its leading role in Renewables etc. Bros, have you visited the power plant? When was it built, what is the present condition and who are the customers?
