This would contradict the rules guiding an affidavit, we know that d affidavit being done in naija is just a format dat is easily come by, but swearing an affidavit on behalf of someone is going to raise a red flag bcox u need the person signature and bearing in mind that his not staying in naija would raise so redflag.
I totally agree with you I would suggest just a bank statement and a full detailed signed letter from your sponsor will be good to go . and if he has paid the tuition that will be enough to show his willingness and commitment .am not an expert tho just saying

I guess CIC is giving priority to those resuming by May because I submitted mine(online) on 10th of March. I thought the processing is usually on a first come first serve basis
My father is Kenyan my mother is Nigerian

I did not apply in Nigeria... So waiting time is different I applied from Kenya and it takes 6weeks for processing time guess due to less number of people who apply for visa to Canada

@Piethewitch
Your advise is a good one as regards appying early considering the processing time. However, it will be detrimental if he does without having funds to meet the requirements of CIC. (tuition +living expenses).
So while it's advisable to appy in time, it is also advisable funds are available first before sending in the application.[/quote]You are right .

He has to defer now that it's still a bit early, processing time now for study permit is 18weeks so it's still within processing time, he can choose to wait on cic but I'll advice he defers to September so as not to lose the admission while waiting, regards.
I guess I am in the same situation ... May intake applied on 8 march called for medical on 23rd march. Took medical on 27th march ... Not heard from them ever since then.. Should I defer my application too or wait

Hi. I have been Admitted to ubc Canada. But my studies commence by September. I haven't applied to the embassy yet, I'm still yet to pay my tuition. Still gathering money. Do I apply for visa without the tuition? Please advise. Thanks
Please do apply for the visa. If it will take you more than a month to get that money... I would advise by may you apply ..you should have applied for the visa due to processing time could take up to 18weeks

Hi guys,
I have been following this thread for quite some time. About 2 days ago, Issue of sponsorship was raised. A point I held on to is being truthful when it comes to stating your relationship with sponsor. In my case, the sponsor I intend to use is my dad's close friend, of course different last name. How can I make my application work, giving that he's not a close relative.
Thanks for your advice in advance
Well according to my knowledge I would suggest that you write how close he is to your family and why he is sponsoring you and then in addition to that you should provide really strong ties to your country like land titles , family photos, house etc which your family has or even a child , husband or employment that will show that you will come back.
Because if you don't it will look like your parents and your family are not well off you are looking for a way to run away from your country. And they won't believe you will be coming back

Please i want to ask few questions.

If you are going paper route, is it compulsory to notarize all documents? if needed at all; what document do we need to notarize?

Secondly, Please how can someone address "proposed length of stay" refusal reason. Note that its 8months PGD course.

Anticipating your swift response.

Thank you
Ask your cvac assistant to help you because not all documents aresupposed to be motorized

Please, during the on-line application track, I found this question; but I was unable to open the list of 6 designated countries. Can you please help, those that are experienced with the on-line application eligibility form.

"Have you visited or lived in any one of the designated countries for 6 consecutive months in the last year?"
Simply means have you left Nigeria in the last 6years

Dear if you have a visa of any country like a developed country you could use that and add in your study plan and give a reason why you did not over stay in that country you went to and on top of that add why you won't over stay in Canada

Does Canada Visa Officers require interview from nigerians seeking study permit prior to issuing a Visa?
They will call you if you need an interview tho its so rare

Osemigho:
A photocopy of your passport must have been given to you at VAC alongside a yellow paper containing your tracking number, etc.

I guess you can take that along with your medical invite form.

That's the little I know about your question.
When they gave me the receipt of payment that's where I got the tracking number from they did not give me a photocopy of my passport .

Guy.Gu.Guy If you link your application online. CIC will send you a mail to check your account. and you will receive a medical mail invite. another mail will be sent to you attached with your passport stamped by them from accra. if you check your account online you will also see the medical form sent to you and thats what you will take to the hospital for medical clearance.
They sent me the medical report form(IMM1017E) that's all have not got the passport photocopy
