I read one of the pages that herrera had more key passes per min ratio because he played higher up the pitch(before the stats was thrown into the gutter)

Surely it also follows that cleverley posts consistently higher passing accuracy stats because he plays down the pitch.
If he were asked to play in a more advanced position, it'll be a different story entirely.

we said worse things about young and fellaini. Besides di maria and falcao (despite him being injured) were both perceived to be at a much higher level than hummels is now. Dortmund's struggles has done his rep a lot of harm.

Hummels appears to be an upgrade on what we have, but you never can tell. He is likely to have problems with pace and fitness, those are my concerns.

I would still take him, as the price being quoted for him right now looks decent. There are not very many established names in the market right now, unless we go ahead to make(discover) one ourselves.
Every transfer has its own set risks, so nothing he does will surprise me(too much) if he finally arrives

we saw that at the start of the season when he was taking teams apart on his own. fabregas is the only player ahead of him on the assist charts.

the injury has taken its toll on him & the recent home invasion of his house by manchester yobs has killed his morale. he would be back, he just needs time!

Rooney they said cannot score as a midfielder. Whereas no midfielder has scored as many as ROONEY has from the midfield. If not for wastefulness of RVP and Di Maria, Rooney would have at least 10 assists already.

Rooney scored:

2 against Newcastle.
1 goal, 1 Assists against Liverpool.

I dare anyone to bring up any midfielder with this statistics. I have not even considered the clear cut chances he created for Di Maria and RVP in these matches. Rooney is our best midfielder. Van Gaal should sweet talk him to play his heart for him and also warn RVP and Di Maria not to waste Rooney's chances again.
