Good day house, I have been a listen follower. Can anyone link me up with a Whatsapp group of Nigerians in Edmonton or Alberta? Thank you |
They actually can get information on your application. But don't stress yourself as you only need to truthfully and accurately answer fill your Canada EE form, including the refusal. raheemkeji: |
Well, I am suspecting something is about to be updated or a glitch in the system again. Let's wait a while first because everything is still the same up till now. |
Apparently, you can only avoid the gift deed if you saved the money. And this will be evident as soon as they see your average balance over 6 months. The main reason why you need the gift deed is to confirm to the officer that you did not Borrow the funds, which when you read the policy statement that's what they don't want and they also know where the lump sum is coming from. So failure to include this will most likely result in a returned application. So save yourself the headache. emmadeking: |
You have to input it the same way you did the jobs. NOC 1: Jan 2015 to Dec 2016 NOC 2: March 2016 to February 2018. However, you must be aware that your primary NOC must be for at least one year continuous to be able to use both NOCs to claim EE points. Then you upload both references. Chikena. Dare002: |
I don't think it really matters as long as it happened after AOR. But, I think you should still chill sha for little processing to happen. Go to this link to read more about it. https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/publications-manuals/operational-bulletins-manuals/permanent-residence/express-entry/assessing-electronic-application-on-section-a11-2.html Dekembabe: |
I must say this is one of the best post I have read on NL. One must know that whatever may have been the norm, you can always change it. I would have done the same thing your brother did however, mine would have been directed to the evaluation body. If WES says they can evaluate a professional certification like CPA, ACCA etc. Why would ICAN be different? So whoever is evaluating ICAN must be ready to school the evaluators as I have seen people do that in other threads and they were successfully. Never be too afraid to get what you want. Wish we all smooth sailing!! [Qquote author=ebony9ja post=72546501]Hi, I can't resist commenting on your post . I do hope you can make the right decision based on what I am writing now. My close relative got ITA and submitted all documents in December 2017. He got in at 452 or so. This included additional 15 points from my brother who is a canadian citizen. After a long wait of almost 9 months, the application was rejected. He used 2 or more certificate option based on his ICAN verification and BSC degree. In the rejection letter , the immigration officer explained the ICAN certificate was not tenable. This is the exact extract from the rejection letter : '' Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) invited you to apply for permanent resident status based on the qualifications you claimed in your Express Entry profile. In your Express Entry profile you indicated that you obtained a Certificate of Membership from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria. According to your Educational Credential Assessment (ECA), completed by World Education Services (WES), this credential is not comparable to a completed Canadian education credential. Therefore, this credential does not qualify under the Federal Skilled Worker (FSW) program. This change in your qualifications resulted in a loss of points that brought your rank below the lowest ranking person who was invited to apply in your round of invitation, under the Express Entry Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS). I do note that your ECA lists your Bachelor of Science degree from *********University, which is comparable to a completed Canadian education credential, and for which you obtained the allotted number of CRS points. But unfortunately, you still failed to obtain the minimum CRS score required, as your credential from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria is unable to be used under the FSW program. As I have found that you no longer possess the qualification on the basis of which you were ranked under an instruction given under paragraph 10.3(1)(h), you no longer meet the requirements of Section 11.2 of Act. Following an examination of your application, I am not satisfied that you meet the requirements of the Act and Regulations for the reasons explained above. I am therefore refusing your application. You will receive a refund of the Right of Permanent Residence Fee that you have paid''. Naturally , he was devastated .However , he wrote an appeal letter where he compared his ICAN certificate to similar global certificate . This is an extract from his appeal letter : Evidence 1: According to World Educational Services Canada (WES) evaluation of my ICAN certificate, it was determined that my ICAN certificate is equivalent to a 2‐year Canadian program, but it was not stated if it was equivalent to an undergraduate or a graduate program. I am writing to let you know that ICAN certification is a graduate level program which requires an undergraduate degree as a prerequisite. This is similar to the Chartered Professional Accountant Canada Professional Education Program CPA PEP) which is a 2‐year graduate‐level academic program which also requires an undergraduate degree as a prerequisite (https://www.cpacanada.ca/en/become‐a‐cpa/pathways‐to‐becoming‐a‐cpa). Hence, based on this information, I believe ICAN certification is equivalent to the Chartered Professional Accountant Canada (CPA) certification. Evidence 2: ICAN and CPA belong to the International Federation of Accountant (http://www.ifac.org/about‐ ifac/membership/member‐organizations‐and‐country‐profiles). This makes ICAN a recognised professional accounting program worldwide, and an equivalent certification to CPA. In conclusion, I believe my undergraduate degree and ICAN certification qualify me for “Two or More Certificates, Diplomas or Degree of which one must be for a program of three years”. His appeal letter was ACCEPTED and he was asked to do a new medical. HE RECEIVED PPR TODAY !!!! i wouldn't know if this experience will trigger a change in CIC view/policy concerning ICAN certificate . Action of one courageous person can change the world. Its not always good to believe anything just because someone said so. If he hasn't written his appeal, he will still be waiting for ATS verification as widely believed and advised by most applicants . I wish you the best in your application.[/quote] |
You should fill Nigeria as the study took place in Nigeria. Also, you must note that correspondence must be written on the same line as the name of the institute. Have a look at the link for better understanding. https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/publications-manuals/operational-bulletins-manuals/permanent-residence/express-entry/applications-received-on-after-january-1-2016-completeness-check.html Cheers. mambani: |
Everyone interested in knowing more on the information sharing agreement between US and Canada; which countries are being targeted, why they share the information, the extent of information they share should read up in the link below: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/news/archives/backgrounders-2012/immigration-information-sharing-treaty.html |
Hello, Did you get a specific reason for your denial? Don't they just give a generic denial letter to everyone? Please do tell me how to get more info on US Visa refusal. Thanks Barryston: |
You had better cool down and don't give yourself unnecessary heart-attack. Firstly, the NIM certificate we get during NYSC is just a student affiliation. You therefore are not a full member of NIM. It even shouldn't have been on the US application. Secondly, the issue of misrepresentation is in the context of trying to beat the system. Here is a brief info on CIC site of misrepresentation and fraud: Document Fraud (Misrepresentation) It is a serious crime to lie, or to send false information or documents, to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). This is fraud. It’s called “misrepresentation.” Document fraud can involve either false or altered documents, such as: passports and travel documents visas diplomas, degrees, and apprenticeship or trade papers certificates of birth, marriage, final divorce, annulment, separation, or death and police certificates If you lie on an application or in an interview with an IRCC officer, this is also fraud. It is a crime. If you send false documents or information, we’ll refuse your application. We could also: forbid you from entering Canada for at least five years give you a permanent record of fraud with us take away your status as a permanent resident or Canadian citizen have you charged with a crime or remove you from Canada https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/protect-fraud/document-misrepresentation.html I hope this helps you. Okay. That's fine. But do you think a first cousin might fly in this category or one should just limit it to strictly the family category listed. Cheers. Tojued: |
Are you entirely sure about this? Remember, he is asking if he needs to include her in his EE application. That means points will be awarded for this. And this needs to be backed by documents. Just being careful here. Tojued: |
Hello guys, Please I do want to know if there is a general format for the reference letter or is it specifically worded for each applicant? This is so that one can get it at hand before the stage that one needs it. Thank you guys. |
Dave4eva:If you have lived in a country in the past, your PCC issued after leaving is valid until you decide to re-visit that country. However, if you are still living in the country or you got a PCC before you left the country, then you need a PCC issued within the last 6 months. I think that explains it. |

dgreat001:No. There's an 'apply for the job' icon when you click on the preferred position. You can go through this link : http://registry.fuoye.edu.ng/search/jobs |
oviecardealer:Hello Mr Ovie. How much will it cost me to bring a highlander 2006 model to Nigeria? The cost of buying it from Cotonou and the cost to bring it to Nigeria. And please, what's the market exchange rate now? Thank you |
I think you should still keep your hope alive for the fact that you are attending interviews. There are people with 2.1 who don't even make that stage. I would suggest you use your strengths more often on your interviews. To be honest, I wouldn't say going to America is good or bad. Different strokes for different folks, but I would tell you that you should be prepared to face stiffer competition even when you regularize your status. Escaping out of Nigeria is just the beginning and if you plan on staying illegal, which is very much possible, you must be top notch in your game if you really want to make it make something out of that country. I sure know how it feels in your situation but there's one thing you must forget: if you determined in any condition, you can succeed. The hustle is real my brother. #bless. |
I don't think the performance was really bad. The main issue in our performance today was a fast paced pattern which Naija isn't used to. And Oliseh made it clear that's how he want them to play and this led to too many mistakes |
