I’m totally in support of this bro. I remember when in UK, a childhood friend reached out to me from Nigeria and we got chatting on Facebook can’t remember vividly but he said something in Yoruba that literally means that a stream that forgets it source will dry up. Can’t remember what exactly led to that but I immediately blocked him. This is almost 13yrs after and he still remain blocked.

Effort in futility

A man that stood shoulder-To-Shoulder against Presidential Might and Establishment of this country for over 20YEARS, unshakable and always came out victorious.

Called President Obasanjo’s bluff, stood against the military govt., came out victorious in the primaries even when the then President Buhari and his cabal were against him. All these he did while he was an ordinary citizen like you and I.

Today, you are dreaming to defeat such a man when he even now has the added advantage of the Presidential Might to his side.

I repeat, all these court cases are effort in futility.

We should go back to how rhings work before Major Marketers came in the picture. Before IBB messed things up, NNPC and other oil companies like Shell, AP etc had jetties across states in Nigeria. Somehow through underground piping and other networks, refined oil gets to these jetties from the 3 working refineries in Nigeria.

Tankers are only needed to distribute fuel within states and not interstate as we have it now thereby cutting short on distribution cost. Fuel was cheap and affordable then until IBB through some intricate plot announced that there would be a Turn around Maintenance (TAM) on the refineries.

This necessitated a total shot down of all 3 refineries in Nigeria which then necessitated granting of licenses to “Major Marketers” to import fuel which then birthed subsidy along the line. Mind you, the TAM announced by IBB that year never happened up till this day. Now the refineries are moribund.

This is a summary of how subsidy was birthed in Nigeria. With a working Dangote refinery, maybe we should work our ways back to the days of old then we might get it right again.

I am an hotelier. The hardest part of my job is having to deal with my staffs to make sure they do not short change me. Whenever I come up with a means to stop financial leakages, they find another to subvert it.

It’s a case of cat and mouse with them I swear.

My first interview experience in UK was very funny. I went in expecting to write exams or be engaged in technical questions as we usually have it in naija. But to my surprise, the questions were solely based on what and what I will do or what I did when faced with a particular situation or how will I react or how I reacted when a situation comes up.

That was my very first interview in UK with no prior UK interview experience. I was left looking like a fool. I messed it right up.
